How does the livery editor work in Forza3 by the way?
Manipulation of in-game shapes and fonts.

I'll probably do what I do in Forza and make dirt/rust effects for added detail/realism

It makes me rage that you can't merge layers to gain layer count space I feel that if GT has a livery editor (which I really hope it does) it'll do it the right way
EDIT: I just started the GT5 US Collector's Edition GTR livery
...what designs are you looking forward to making?
You do know the GT40 is already in right?

For me, it would be this brilliant looking thing:
I don't think I've really backed the idea of having a livery editor on GT5. Although I love the idea of recreating famous liveries from motorsport history, I know that 90% of the customized cars online will look half-arsed or just completely awful. Still, it'll keep me entertained till GT6. 👍 I'd also love to create some cars from the BTCC.
👍👍(Peugot 406, Ford Mondeo, Vauxhal Vectra (Opel in the picture), Nissan Primera, Honda Accord and the Renault Megane, that features a livery similar to the livery of the Renault Laguna) All those cars look like the cars from my favourite seasons of the BTCC, which were features in Toca Touringcars 1 and 2.

Peniston Oil and Larsen's Biscuits - And then fingers crossed we can open the doors in photomode (-:
I think the final game will show dirt buildup on the cars. I remember hearing something about that during E3.
The first GT5 trailer showing damage (on the Subaru Impreza), also featured dirt on the car, so at least they planned to include dirt buildup for rallyraces. Lets hope they do it for roadraces aswell. It will be fun looking at your car after an endurance race, with all the dirt, and scratched, that tell storys of a hard and demanding race.
This was basically my plan as well. Though I would get to work on the Fed Ex 300ZX GTP.
Also, I think you'll find some of those cars are already in GT5.
Are there any features missing from GT5 that you’d like to have included?
Kazunori said “Yes”, without hesistation. “But there’s still time to work on things!”
Would this include a livery editor?
“Probably not for GT5, though it’s certainly on our list of things to work on…”.
He Lied about it? A bit strong don't you think? That list is not a guaranteed list of what will be in the game, it's a list of what they want in the game. Two massively different things, and circumstances change as with any project.Thats a major dissapointment for me because KY has basically lied about it. He has done this before, cutting online and drag racing from GT4 just before release.

I'm happy this has feature has not made GT5. It means we will probably get it in GT6 and, hopefully be better for it. Besides, I buy racing games to drive them, not go spending hours on end putting stickers on the cars. I had Forza 2 on my old 360 and the most I ever did was change car colour and put a few aero changes on.
