i'll do very basic stuff. but dammit i want the ability to do that and paint my wheels too....

I can't wait to do 1000000000000000000 different civics with body kits and i hope they have underbody neons too!!!!!!

And custom headlights, right? I hope not. Neons and that stuff would make it worse than nfs underground.

I don't think neon adds to performance, while a body kit with actual proven aerodynamics can. Maybe neon can help blind the AI 💡

for god's sakes they need all the sight they can get. i hate to say it but the car customization was a real bright spot of Forza. I spent a lot of time playing around and painting cars and designs. That and sebring.

^ I spent a lot of time making Pepto-Bismol colored cars in Forza 2 on my roommates 360 before it turned on fire...that was a weekend to remember.:ouch:

Exactly, But i BET that every mod you did on your cars in forza were functional, except for Livery editor, so No Modifications such as Lambo Doors or Neons. Please.👍

Still a feature of the motor world, thus it has just as a valid excuse for existing in this game the same as engine, tyre and suspension upgrades do.

So, if it's alright with you, as soon as I get my R34 rated at 700hp, I think I'm entitled to make my car look something a bit more impressive than a bog standard stock car with some aftermarket rims and a generic spoiler...

Actually, i meant no STUPID parts like Neons, Audio Systems, Lambo Doors and Transparent Hoods, but Im Desiring Since GT4 to Have Body Mods, and since around 2006 a Livery Editor, thats one of the main things in waiting GT5, off course, having in mind they are functional, cuz i will hate to see some Knock off Combat bumper in a Skyline with a Gazillion Cr. in The engine:crazy:

I pray pray pray that gt5 has a livery editor. Painting cars is going to literally bring me as much joy as driving them.

I will make basic designs mostly, just using nice colors and shapes that suit the car, and a few logo decals to make it look finished. No flames or grads.

I'm imagining a dark metallic purple Pagani R, with a white stripe over the top of it, white wheels :) I really hope wheel colors can be changed too.

Brawn GP, probably on the Ferrari F2007.

Well if the livery editor is like Forza's you won't be able to edit the livery on race cars(except the 908).

Its a matter of how much you can customize the road cars.
There were a "couple" of touring and rallye cars that looked almost like normal road cars in the past too.

That would be terrible. I really don't think race liveries suit road cars. :(

Well if GT5P is a glimpse of the customization in the full game they will be more fitting since they appear to be wide body kits.

Interesting. Livery editor + tastefully, professionally done racing modifications would be absolute win!

PD is a pro aero kit designer so i hope it will be in GT5, they made a lot of awesome body kit's since GT1. Imagine you can fit a wide variety of wide body kits for your car, in racing spec of course. NOT ricy.

That would be awesome, the problem is where do you draw the line between real bodykits that actual provide downforce and kits that are there only for cosmetic purposes?

It's a good idea if someone wants to do artwork etc and if race car drivers want to individually style a car so that everyone remembers it eh!.So then if people like the style maybe then can swap it or use in game money to buy it.Buy a 68 Dodge Charger 440 R/T then have it paint in the Duke Boys colours, now all you need is moonshine, ramps and the cops chasing you.

However awesome the announcement of Lambo and Bugatti is, they also revealed if you pre-ordered the GTmobile game, you would get one of those 5 cars in an exclusive colour.

Assuming the cars are transferrable between GTmobile and GT5, does this suggest there will be no paint shop function in GT5 ?
- Because it wouldn't be an exclusive color if you could re-spray any car any color you like.

I hope Im wrong because I would love that function.
Still, even if thats the case, I still hold out hope for a livery editor even if its on a base colour that you can not change.

Not really, they could just make it so you can't make any other car that color. They could also do what is done in Forza and not enable the paint booth for certain cars.

I also picked up on the exclusive colour thing and it's possible meaning regarding livery editor. There's a good chance this means that GT moblile won't have the livery editor, but GT mobile is a separate, smaller game from GT5 that is coming sooner. It's intended to be a slightly more arcade-style, entry level game to attract a wider audience to the series, and it will inevitably not have all the features and content of GT5.

These colours might be exclusive to PSP-only gamers, but there's nothing to suggest that GT5 will never ever let anyone have, for example, a yellow Enzo. I'm still hopeful...
