Why aren't pop up headlights still around? They're still cool now!

Apart from being out of fashion for a while, current pedestrian safety regulations would prevent manufacturers from fitting them now, as it restricts protuberances from car bodies which could cause harm.
Ofourse you can think of other creative solutions to have headlights hidden when not in use without them popping up necessarily (or at least within those regulations) like some US muscle cars already had, so they might make a comeback in years to come, although in a different shape and form.

I always like the Opel GT solution, which doesn't need the lights sticking out necessarily if applied in a modern version.

They fail. It was not uncommon to see cars running around with the headlights jammed in the up position or one headlight up one down.

Since that era, stride have been made in aerodynamic improvement of headlights, which has lessened the 'need' for popups.

And that's why I love the Vector M12 It's already a 10+ year old car but it's design it's still very fresh for todays standards... 👍

I don't care about the super touring decals, if the livery editor is included I would make that livery myself. But that Nissan Primera P11-144 is pretty sweet. (All the other Primeras was in the previous GT games, INCLUDING GT5 so why not include this one?)

TVR Cerbera Speed 12, the only one of it's kind.
With an engine so power full that it broke the dyno, created by strapping two straight engines together, able to produce more than 1000BHP in a car weighing less than a ton and supposed to beat the McLaren F1.
If anything deserves the premium treatment it's this beast.

The GTP Formula GT championship was amazing to be apart of, and this car is an absolute beast! Very fun and imo the most rewarding car when you do a great lap.

The one currently in the game is the original production model, all of which where cannibalized for spare parts for the racers when Peter Wheeler decided that the Speed 12 was unsuited for road use.
The one on my picture is the only road going Speed 12 in existing, built in 2004 using a shell from one of the GT racers.
