Yea, i know... i would like to contribute but all my posts would be followed by "how can you even drive a car that low" or some other stereo typical comment that is always said even though it is never needed.

Then, I'm going to do it for you 💡

Both of those GTRs are awesome. And yes, this thread has slowed down allot. I'll probably post another massive post tomorrow or something to get the ball rolling.

But for now this...

Two rotors...six spark plugs? Little to no sense has been made.

Each rotor has three plugs. Three separate combustion chambers defined by each side of the triangular rotor.

That's why your basic 1.3 liter rotary drinks gas like a V6... take all the spark plugs into account and it's more like 2.6 (or is that 3.9? ) liters.

That's not quite how it works. There's only one combustion chamber, but all three sides of a rotor are doing something - intake, compression, power, and exhaust are all happening at the same time at different spots around the rotor. My engine has two spark plugs for each rotor, both next to each other in the combustion chamber. That makes 4 for a two rotor. A three rotor would have six.

I can only assume the two wires on the left are going somewhere other than spark plugs, or that car has a 20B lol.

Oh. Always thought of it as the rotor forming one wall of the combustion chamber, and you simply have the combustion chambers moving around the... errh... combustion chamber.

Hm.

Wouldn't those two wires be going to the ignition coil/s? (not knowing anything about rotary electricals)... or a flamethrower kit? :D

I have no idea honestly lol. I don't know how distributors work! Mine just has two coils, leading and trailing, with two wires coming from each going to their respective spark plugs. It's a point to point ordeal, no pun intended.

Plus, if he's doing it right (read: straight pipe) he doesn't even need a flamethower kit. Factory installed. :sly:

is absolutely, mentally insane. Wow.

info?

Also, info on the VW Bus Hillclimbing would be pretty cool. Epic post as usual dude.

Bathtub + wheels + engine = Deathtrap  On the otherhand it kind of looks like a giant shoe on wheels haha

Either way, looks like fun :sly:
