 I don't have any info on those cars besides the fact that they're awesome metal bath tubs with V8s.

Also, I figured I'd post the photos I took at the Nurburgring before I forgot...

I was there, man!

Alright so I know that some of these cars aren't technically "imports" but most of them are and I wanted to keep these photos all together for simplicity's sake. either way I'm sure every one here will enjoy these.

Love the pics but geez man, you cut off most of the cars that were picture worthy.
It's hard to save pictures when you're missing a third of the car. :grumpy:

I guess I shouldn't complain. :ouch:
I'm quite jealous actually and being a German native the pictures make me home sick. :indiff:

And I do thank you very much for the pictures. They're great and you look like you're really stoked about it. It'll also be something that you'll never forget. 👍

awesome series Doug. again, awesome work with the rig shot. May I ask about your light setup for the interior work? it's perfect! How do you manage to get such a dim/soft light? do you use a diffuser?

anyway, neat work, and neat car too. Stanced, indeed.

Yup, 2' x 2' soft boxes. 3 light sources - two from the doors and one from the rear seats onto the console. Took another exposure with the passenger door closed then just blended the layers so it looks as if the door is closed and there is no 3rd light.

That post PB posted with the Speed Hunters features is phenomenal!

Yeah I know I didn't photograph many things but I was running around most of the time since there was so much to see. We also made sure to watch the "Classics GP" feature race and the sports car race.

Yeah, I understand. I'm not originally from the US either .

Absolutely. 👍

Contrary to popular belief, there are people who still have internet connections where it would take a few minutes to load the last page.

Personally, I think Speed's Nurburgring post was worthy of its own thread.

We need a size limit so we really don't stretch the page as much.

That would be the web masters duty to limit sizing on the pictures or to have a program within site that would automatically downsize the pictures to a more usable size.
This can be done on the Vbulletin setup but I'm not sure what Jordan is using for his hosting.

VBulletin does have an option to display any images to a maximum size, regardless of where they are hosted. The last time I saw it implemented, the resizing was stupidly bad at antialiasing and every image came out grainy, even if only slightly scaled. Thank God it was opt-out in the user CP. I'm not sure if they've changed this since I saw it employed on another board (at least 2 years ago).

It's improved since then with the advent of VB4.0.
We had this on my forums and it worked well for any size image that was larger than the specified size given by the image resizer.
