And then he sucked hard last year. And came back this year with a 90% reworked car, and is so far, after one round, kicking ass some more. The green/purple iteration of the car was great looking, but this one performs much better.

Can't have it all. Function > Form.

Yup! Matt finished 2nd at the first round of Formula D this year at Long Beach. 👍 Pretty impressive I have to say. Vaugh Gittin Jr. didn't even make the top 32.

+1 👍

Does anyone offer a fixed headlight conversion in the style of the Lotus Elan 26R for the NA Miata?

I have a feeling it would really suit it.

There already is, sort off. It was a few pages back, I'll look it up, give me a sec.

Yes, you're right.

Carlos, Go to speedhunters.com, they have quite a bit of stuff from him there since he is on team NFS, which is partly why he is famous. Speedhunters.com is pretty known and yeah he would probably still be sort of famous but I at least would not know him if it werent for speedhunters.com

Aight, I'll do that.. See many pictures from that website but never thought of looking there. Stupid me..

As far as I know he originally got attention for his car, which he happened to drift, which he happened to be decent at, and then he happened to be offered a professional gig.

That's nice! Wish we had something like that here.. Drifting is so unpopulair, but time attack is now beginning to be the thing and I'm thinking to compete. Looking for a good car, got to loose the daily for that though..

Okay so I went on Speedhunters.com, and there are so many people saying; 'I would never park my Honda outside'. What the...??? Do they get stolen that much? Damn..

In Orlando, FL if you leave a semi modified Honda at the mall for a quick run in it will probably be stolen before you get back.

That's nuts!!! Is a Honda the new OG car now? I don't get it.. Why steal a Honda, there are already so many, parts aint that expensive too..

Because they're so easy to steal, and there are a lot of parts and they're cheap, kinda, but who cares when you get them for free? Supposedly 1 in 10 Honda keys will open a Civic from 1988-2000 (the most popular years)

Shaved down/really worn keys are usually good for almost anything. If it can't start another car it can probably open it.

Honda has had the most popular cars for theft in US for well over a decade. The Accord, Civic, and Integra are all high theft targets, because they are fairly easy to chop out and steal in general.

Didn't knew that about the keys! My EK and EM were always outside, only sometimes in the garage.. After reading this I'm scared to leave 'm outside..

You really shouldn't worry, unless you have known thieves (or heard about things being stolen often in your automotive scene)

I live about an hour from Orlando and everything here is safe

The only theft I know of here, is my mates brand new Golf GTI and my other mates dashboard(the digital dash thing behind his steering wheel, don't know how to say in English :x) of his Mk4 GTI.. Hope it stays this way, don't want to worry about my car everytime I park it..

Reading through an article of SpeedHunters:
"For an American, it's strange to imagine that you can drive around Japan in a Type R without having a single worry about car theft. Sigh..."

It's really that bad huh..

You just answered your own question as to why.

Thieves make quick cash selling off stolen OEM Honda parts back to parts shop.

Hmm didn't thought about it that way.. Really sad..
What's up with SpeedHunters forum?
"There are no posts to show. This could because there are no posts in this forum or due to a filter."

I'm at work so I thought it was a filter, but I get it too on my iPhone and Blackberry..

So I was reading this article on SpeedHunters, turns out these cars are at Rising Sun Perfomance wich is only an half hour drive for me, so I guess I'll take a look there soon.. If I see something cool I'll post it up here.

Yeah, seen that front end. Looks good, but very different from the original, more of a Healey or MG Midget style.

Buddy Jordan saw this today at an autocross. Awesome.

Owner was in town getting setup for Pikes Peak. Apparently, he brings a whole slew of different gear ratios for whatever auto event he's at.

I've never been remotely interested in Austin-Healey 3000s and I've no justifiable reason why. I'm a big fan of British sports cars and the 3000 is supposed to be one of the best, it's just never appealed to me.

I do like the Austin-Healey 'Frogeye' Sprite though:

Here's one people might not know about. I posted it yonks ago with a few pics, but I've found a few more:

I'd rock one. Probably not wildly quick with 160bhp ish, but enough to have fun with. Wonder how much they're going for these days...
