Perfect.

Huh, not been in this thread for ages, come in to find it full of Porsches, just as I have another to add to it...

One of my favourite cars, in one of my favourite racing liveries:

Someone parks one of those in silver right in front of my house on most days. Next time I see it I'll grab some snaps for you.

Was it some sort of factory vinyl option package?

Don't think so - there are a few pics of them with the Martini stripes knocking about on the internet, but I suspect the owners had them done themselves. Works well though, classic livery.

I think that car with the engine I saw in a drift car at Formula D long beach would be something I could drive for many years. (Tomei 2.2 w/VVL head)

Nice to see photos of an S13 without it being a "dorifto monster".
That car has a Rocket Bunny kit on it. Visually, it is very much representative of the "dorifto monster" look, although it is rare because of the cost of the thing. Other than that I see a ricetastic double stack wing, but I don't think you were referring to that.

Or did you simply mean that it wasn't sideways in the picture?

In any case, since you said it was nice to see a grip 240sx:

An old one, before it became (more) ugly.

EDIT: Trying to find a thread on Zilvia that consisted of track cars. Cannot find.

*Red Nissan 300ZX Z32*
And waits for everyone to insult the car:scared:
I really don't see why people hate on the Z32, I love them. The best looking Z for sure, and I love the VQ that they have.

Anyone remember this car?

A friend of mine owns a tuning shop specializing in Nissans. Replacing just the knock sensor took something like 18 hours and required pulling the motor for one of his customers.

Definitely the best looking Z
They had the VG, the VQ was in the Z33.

So does Z1, 18 hours on a knock sensor. Not at this shop.
One of knock sensor is on the back bottom portion of the engine, it's impossible to remove without pulling the engine out.

Are you kidding? That's one of the rare, proper 300ZXs out there 👍

I was joking around cause most people on here hate the Z32

Pretty much about it not being sideways. Didn't really like the car, but was nice to see one used in a different manner.

And the one pictured above = much better.

I had thought about buying a 240SX to make a track car out of it, but the thought of me being asked why I'm not drifting it all the time would get on my nerves.

Not to mention the S13 doesn't make a great grip car, for some reason. They do alright, but when compared with other cars of similar weight and lesser tire they seem to be lacking. Something to do with the rear suspension geometry and anti-squat, which iirc just creates a lot of bumpsteer in the rear, and was corrected in the s14. I know quite a few people switch to the S14 subframe for this reason when building a track car out of an S13.

I dont get why people do stuff like that like drill holes in their rear bumper. As far as I know they do it to increase downforce and stability at the rear or reduce drag.... Wouldnt a rear diffuser fix all those problems and look 100 times better?
