Intercontinental GT500 Championship Season Two - Finished

Last weeks my PS3 makes weird noises. I don't want to lose some files. So I am thinking to buy a new one. Can i carry over my GT5-stuff?

I have a old 80GB, new ones are smaller, more silent, having 300GB, and who knows what else. But is it worht it? I am not in the mood to send the thing to sony, pay them 150€ and get a PS3 back from someone else and possible after 3 months. Then i feel more to give 100€ extra for a new one which probably comes whit a game and a controller... or i can hope it still works untill the PS4 is released. But i doubt it. Big dilemma.

Just copy your save game onto a memory card, should do the trick ;)

I actually copied the entire hard disk when I changed, but I just got the message that the back up was from another ps3 system. Had to install the game from scratch, but the game save info file could be copied over and saved me from doing everything over again.

I did have to make new pictures of all the cars I painted or modified as all the small pictures in my garage was from before I got them and changed them, but after 2.0 you can do all cars at once so it is a lot easier now :)

I managed to gold the event after 2 laps and then I exited the event and collected my new car :) I think I am on top 10 000. I actually did it when it came out and was on #1 for about 3seconds :)

Time: 1:39 something

ok maybe you can make also world record m8

I need some time away from the wheel mate. I think I have to buy a set of some racing hand and footwear. I can feel my hands and feet hurts after all the hours I put into it already. And a seasonal event is fun, but I really don't care about winning one ;)

Impressive time you did put into it though, nice 👍

Yes Maxi you can backup your gt5 save data on a usb flash drive , I would do backups every week if you think your ps3 is gonna die soon .

To prevent overheating of the ps3 I found this to be a really "cool" add on to the ps3, just place the PS3 on it add the fans as far to each side as possible as the went holes on the PS3 slim is on both side of it.
I also clean all went holes with the vacuum cleaner every week. Makes your PS3 last forever :)
The Fat one I just placed vertical since the exit went holes then will be on top of it, and warm air are lighter than cool air so the warm air will more easily get out of the box.

If your PS3 makes strange noises it could be your hard drive that are getting "sick" and the hard drive are a really easy job to change. Just make sure the new hard drive is FAT32 and no more than 5400rpm and you can upgrade your PS3 to a 1TB hard drive if you like.. not that anyone need that :)
If you change your hard drive a backup is an easy way of getting the PS3 back as you have it now without doing anything but use the backup. It is somewhat time consuming, but its worth every minute of it if you have a lot installed.

I did plan to put a SSD disk into my ps3 and as the new SSD disks doesn't self destruct as fast as the old once it could work pretty well. A friend of mine did it and it made the loading time quite a bit faster.

when are we going to get some team practice on spa guys? ( erik, arkano, immortal ) ??

Well I was online in my lobby on Wednesday as we talked about and I got the yellowhat pretty fast, but I only saw you there. Guess the others talked about next Wednesday. I guess I be online then too :) Now I need to get my car ready for this weekends race. Even if first place is decided, there are a lot more that could happen on the rest of the leader board :)

i think i did a 2.13.2xx
what was ur laptime??

12 is possible MAYBE 11 but that needs amazing alien driving :dopey:

I actually mostly tried to make my tyres last, but I did put in a 2:13.2xx I think I was 0.020 behind you. I was always in front of you in the first sector so I managed to do turn 1 better and I probably got higher speed on the long straigt, but I lost a alot in sector 2 and sector 3 we had the same time. So if I could have your sector 2 time I would be on 12, or you could have my sector 1 time you would have 12 :)

yea exactly.. i was much faster in the 1st sector also on the straight.. i had 0.560 lead onto the straight but i messed up the following sectors or else def wouldve been a 12 :)

Hi guys

I won't be able to make tomorrows race , my apologies .

It was great to race with you all , I will be back the next season and will join you all during your pre season testing.

I hope you reconsider dropping the Supras out of the available choices of cars , the Castrol one can compete and its a shame I didn't get to test the Yellowhat , perhaps in the preseason I can test it.

I am pretty open to which car I will choose next season but the teammate Stretchy is leaning towards a GTR so we will be aiming to get a GTR.

I will catch up with you all on Sunday.

Hello there all, I'm sorry that I haven't been able to make it to some of the races. It just seems that my school work, gf and friends/family are taking out a lot of the weekends, so I think you can count me out for the next season :(
The one race I had with you was a lot of fun, so if I happen to have free weekend and there is a spot open for the race, I would like to race with you again :D
So I resing from this series to make room for some more frequent racer :D

See you around!

As most wanted a endurance race I put it to 42 with 6 laps on hard tyres. Can of course be adjusted, if most think it is to much. But I heard nothing about it so that's what's in the OP

EDIT:
I will soon set up the room for practice and if there are people without the DLC you can join in and practice. I'm actually more than ready, so I will be a lot on and off.

I've had barely any practice this week, and I'll probably only have a couple of hours at most before Spa since the F1 this weekend finishes at around 5-6pm GMT. But I'm not too bothered, I just hope I can have a half-decent fun race :)

Gotta practice like mad for next weekend though.

I think it will be, it's a new track for everyone. Some have more practice than others, but you didn't do to bad when you were on it last time with me. You are more of a natural talent than myself so I need more practice than you to stay competitive :)

And what F1 Team/racer do you have as your personal favourite?
