interest inquiry - no rules brand racing

this is to inquire if enough racers can be mobilised for a new challenge called

this is a concept βen and me concocted because we feel the best events in gtp are where you have to look around for the best cars you can find and drive them on the best race tracks available. also, we don't always like the 'clean lap' rule that other events use. it will be a 6 race tournament.
this is the trick: we will choose a country from which you pick a brand of cars. each race will have to be driven in a different car from the same brand. a race will last a week after (or during) which you'll publish your hotlap in the race's thread. top 3 drivers will be asked to deliver a picture indicating car, track and laptime. as every gtp member is a gentlemen off course no one will cheat or use cheat devices.

otherwise there will be no rules. you can choose arcade or gt mode, draft and kick other cars, use nitro, cut corners, ride walls and make as many offs as you like.

a minimum of 15 drivers is needed to make this tournament a success. with that number of participants, the points awarded for each race will be 15 for the fastest and 1 for the slowest. if the tournament will prove a success we'll organise a second 'no rules brand racing' round featuring other great race tracks and cars from the u.k.

race 6: circuit de la sarthe 2

if the series proves successfull a second round of 6 races will be organised using 6 different tracks and cars from a different country.

until a day before the start of the first round, which will be at the 28th of september, we give all participants the opportunity to get a feeling of the no rules challenge.

car: any german production car (= currently available at dealers)

no cheating but otherwise: NO RULES.
that said all are encouraged to publish car, mode, direction (, settings), and laptimes in this thread.

the winner of the qually gets special treatment by the race stewards and gets to pick the first race of the tournament.

for this first round of no rules brand racing only GERMAN cars will be used:

3 audi
7 bmw
4 mercedes
1 opel
2 ruf
3 volkswagen (edit: including the hpa golf)

after you have picked one brand, you have to drive the six tracks using 6 different cars, so each car of your brand of choice can only be used once. if you pick a brand with less than 6 cars (eg. ruf) you can use your first car again for the last race.
you need to publish your brand of choice in your participation post.
the number before the brand indicates how many drivers have opted for that brand.

I must admit I don't fancy the no rules concept much, as I think it has by nature a short lifespan and I'm not certain it can hold on racers' interest for 6 races.
Yet, out of :
1) friendship
2) solidarity (you'll be my team mate for ARC Classic after all)
3) curiosity (the concept is pretty weird and unusual)
...
Just count me in.
