Ran my qually but as I am a race steward didn't put too much time into it, had to admin some other stuff for this comp.

Time
1'36.784 using a Mercedes Mclaren SLR '03 in GT Mode.
Track was Amalfi Forward

Results to be posted at 7PM GMT tonight.
Don't be late!

thanks to bro and sis for their qually times.

final day for the qualification round

you have today till 19.00 pm central european time to post your qually times. after that, co-steward ben will announce the winner and communicate at what of the published 6 tracks the first race will be held.

recap on car choice for the first race: pick ANY car from your brand of choice. you are free to post your car choice but that might affect what other participants might do themselves.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE

Sorry guys....I've been very busy of late and will only be able to submit this below par time...
M5 1'51''855
Hopefully I'll be able to free up some more time for the season...

1 hour and another 43 minutes and I would of been too late, well to my pc clock anyway - I'm still deciding whether to choose Merc or BMW... Though, Casio has a Merc so it it prove more a better race if I chose an opposing team. Even though AMG have a large advantage over every other German manufacturer in this racing series (AMG V12 engines running from 400 bhp-700bhp with unique cornering abilities), I'd say driving an M-series BMW would prove more enjoyable.

luke, you are free to change your brand choice until the submission of your first race time which is only due next week. please post your choices when you can. it could well be that you and brad will be fighting for golds, so you might also consider picking the same brand to make the chances even. well, that's entirely up to you.
about that pc clock of your - not too accurate is it? when i write this you have 9 1/2 hours for submitting your best laptime, stay below casio and be the qually winner of no rules.

I dont really believe that merc has an advantage with road cars, its all going to come down to car/track combo choices, I know that the bmw m3csl and gtr can really go head to head against cars like the rs6, sl65 and e55, but again it all comes down to the car/track combo choices. All that worries me is mercs clk gtr and sauber c9.

But all that is just my personal preference.

if you add up the tuned ptw's of the 6 best cars of audi, bmw and merc, then the latter has a big advantage. imraan, remember you can use race cars and touring cars as well in no rules, only not in this qually!

I know Bigracer, I was just talking about road cars.

I cant wait for the first race, and even the next country, hope it japan.

Finally - Sl65AMG @ Amalfie, 1'53.673

Didn't have the money for an SLR... Ran dirty, to save time - it's only a qually

Any news on the first race yet Ben/Steven?

Darren.

EDIT: V 👍 V

great turnout friends - 18 out of 22 have submitted a qually time.
now we need luke to come forward and collect his prize: to pick the first race track of the tournament. but sadly enough he's not online to do so. if he remains silent i will have to make a choice for him, because i bet you all want to start racing as soon as you can.
we'll just wait a bit and see what happens.

Sorry for the delay, but I'm here now and I've decided to choose Fuji Speedway 90's as the first track to start this series off.

Regards and good luck, GT Pro.

Mercedes all the way for me. Now how many of the racers are going to use there race cars first? Only time well tell.:mischievous:
Besides my break down for deleting my picture file(with over 2000 pictures:() I'd did good, I'm not going to say what my time is until the end.:mischievous:
