Just copy your old save data over to your new account and you be fine there on.

Not finding this event to be quite as enjoyable as the old Suzuka 600PP S2 events, but it's the best since we lost that. The speeds are much higher and as the corner speeds and braking distances vary so much by car it's much harder to follow a car closely and avoid contact. 5 laps are definitely better.... give you a chance to rejoin and get back up the pack when you get punted going in to turn 1.

My sentiments exactly. It's a fun event, but overall there is a lot more out-of-control driving than in 600PP. There wasn't a single race last night where I didn't get punted accidentally by someone at some point. Apologies to everyone for the occasional rear-ending that I dished out...

What drove me nuts last night, is that I got repeatedly knocked off by out-of-control cars: you know, cars that veer wildly across the road in front of you but, for some reason, DON"T ghost. There seems to be no way to anticipate when they're not going to ghost.

Wow, tonight we had the races at :00,:15,:30,:45 and each race that I was in had at least 7 or 8 GTP guys out of the 12. One race had 11 and the 12th was a guy in an Elise "ashtv" that whooped us all a couple times and he was clean. Great fun to see the whole screen full of GTP tags.

Apologies to Vaxen for a bit of sloppy driving towards the end of my stint. Was getting tired...tired of watching those darn GTLMs pass me in my red viper! I refuse to go to the dark side...yet!
I wasn't racing well with the GTLM last night. My old tune was slightly slower in free-run, but much more stable in traffic, so I'll have to switch back to it. I switched to the GTLM to have a run at ashdtv, but didn't have much success.
I refer you to my earlier post.

This guy is far from clean. I have witnessed first hand what this guy is like. I was used as a brake several times and shoved of the track. Then in another race I witnessed him shoving other people of track. What baffles me with him is that yes he is fantastic so why result to dirty tricks to win.

Agreed, I was punted off track at least twice by him. He is very fast, but pushing people out of the way instead of overtaking is not racing.

You had a clean race with doctorben??

I'd buy that for a dollar!

I've had plenty of clean races with ashdtv and doctorben. Both are on my friends list, and both will generally try to run a clean race from what I've seen. Even so, there are incidents from time to time, and these guys generally won't wait if they knock you off. I've raced both side to side on multiple occasions, and as long as I give them room, they'll respect my space.

If you feel you've been punted by these guys, send them a message.

yes doctorben is all time fast and fair. 👍 👍

btw, i pimped my EVO again, more is inpossible. (for me^^)

but know it is a little bit easyer to follow the GTLM.

In defense of ashtv and doctorben, I have had multiple races with each of them and had generally good experiences. Maybe previous private messaging exchanges with some of you has helped. Ashtv, last night for instance, gave me a bit of a bump at spoon in order to get passed and he apologized immediately after the race. On another occasion, we tangled while going side by side in the chicane and I got bumped off. It was fair racing in my opinion but he waited and allowed me to retake my position.

Public compliments are great, but is there really any benefit to publicly flaming individuals? Most of us are still learning and still make mistakes in all the excitement. Aside from trying to lap faster and more consistently, the toughest thing for me is having patience when behind somebody that is not as fast, which can lead to mistakes and bumping. Interestingly, when these things happen, the GTP tag makes us easy fodder for dispensing rage. I really wish I could share a PSN exchange I had with a guy the other night, but the censors would lock it down immediately. He had PS3-muscles and would deserve a beatdown for what he said!

Anyway, the races were great. I'll be traveling for a couple weeks so I'm going to miss all the fun!! Enjoy yourselves!

How about we change the thread title to International Event - Suzuka Expert 750 pp BI-TC-HF-ES-T?

Oh the irony of my long Clio rant just hit home, just had a race with random guys no tags, a Clio was amongst them but i managed to slip down the inside on T1 of the understeering Clio and other mayhem, so i was about 0.1 ahead of the Clio with me leading the race. Little else happened, I won by nearly 20 seconds because no-one could pass that Clio.

Anyway, remember not every tagged group has the same morales as us, they might be out purely to win because they think thats how skill is measured, or it could've been a simple misjudgement/misunderstanding.

Nice race guys.
I lost the pace at last lap.
too much pressure:sly:

xx:00 another great clean race. Congrats to the winner.

You should seriously consider jumping in the GT06. I've had some great races with clios in that. Problem is most of the vipers piss all over the top of me so I've started taking the the LM spec out for the odd spin to help with the ego thing. :sly:

I'm not a GT fan personally, not my kinda car.

Saw you in the LM a few races back but unfortunately for you one of the Viper drivers happened to be uhh, me :)

EDIT: Good race with stotty just now on the way to a GTP 1-2-3 and a Viper/T 1-2. Sorry if sticking in the middle of the road on the straight into 130 cause you a problem, i decided to make myself as wide as possible without swerving of course, because I wasn't prepared to lose because of the dodgy slipstream in GT5. Normally i wouldnt mind but i'd lead the entire race practically and it just didnt seem like a fitting way to end it.

it was a very good race... i'm using your unbelievably good tune, so no wonder we were so close!

Had some really incredible races tonight... the 3 that stick in my mind most alongside the one with dragonistic were with tuesday_green, gtp_zzali and gtrp_hugo... just bumper to bumper for 5 solid laps. Racing heaven.

I also have a few screen shots of some super quick races... one in which I ran a 10'05 and only finished 5th!

Haven't enjoyed myself on gt5p this much for ages... thanks to all who raced with me for making my night :D

This is bizarre, my game froze, i have no GUI, and im staring at T1 on suzuka, watching you all go past.

I've had the same happen in the past. Before the update, at least you could quit out when that happened.

Ha, good to know

I just finished one race - used my 600pp NSX by mistake - was never far behind really
Now i pumped it to 718

Just had the BEST RACE ever against this guy from japan, we were going head to head all the way to the finish and at the end I ended up getting my best lap time ever for suzuka 5laps I did it in 10.00.568!!:) in my GTLM I was so amazed I tried taking a pic but my stupid camera had no battery left I was so mad, BTW I came 2nd the guy beat my by .100 by far the best race Ive ever had no punts or anything!!

The unfortunate part was some of them weren't. Got punted within an inch of my life all last night. Then the one race I was doing okay I cooked the hairpin :banghead:

That's racing for ya, sometimes lucks on your side others it isn't. I was making awful mistakes when we first got Suzuka 750PP, particularly on Spoon snap oversteering into the gravel, but all is well now and I'm back on form :)

Great time!! 👍

I had a go, for the first time since the online update, at this event yesterday. I think this event is a nice one, but I would have rather saw a 600/650 pp event. That said, I was in a few races with zzAli, Stotty, Wanna_B and doctorben. The races were really fastpaced. I had my GTLM setup with R1's at first, but then switched to R3's which was much better round the corners but I was slower on the straights so overtaking got harder.
I was getting tired and I touched a few racers, all accidental, so sorry for that!:scared:
Hope to see you all later on the track today! :dopey:

had fun racing with some of you guys last night. i was trying out a few cars that i dont have much experience with, so i apologize for any points at which i was not holding a steady line. i havent settled on any cars i like for this track yet, but i am hoping to practice more with some of them and try to pick a winner or two.

i did have a lot of fun with a handful of gtp guys at the quarter events- thanks for the good racing!

I finally got my Amuse competitive, i just wish i could detune the engine more so i could have 85% weight, lowest that fits in the PP is 100% weight so a Viper can actually run lighter then the Amuse. First win for me in the Amuse though with my new gearing set up :)

I'm desperately trying to get the LM spec set up. I should be quick with it offline but I'm only beating my 06 time by half a sec. I'm gonna try R1's on it tonight and see if I can get a bit more straightline grunt 💡

Haven't been on in awhile. Been gearing up for Nationals.

Anyway, ran across a GREAT driver from Japan in an Elise, Drivethru-R. Guy was sick. I still don't get to see total time at the end of the race, but he was insanely fast and consistant. We were running almost identical times, but he would walk away up until the haripin, and I would reel him back in by the finish. Very, very good driver.

Enjoyed the one race I got to have with all you guys. I was slowly reeling Drama in, when Digital tagged me. LOL. Oh, well. All good. 👍

Will be out of town, racing all weekend, but hope to be on next week some. Will try and hit the listed times.

I tried this (again) last night with different cars, but T1 makes me feel like the ball in a pinball machine. Stuck between the slower cornering, almost parked AWD in the front and the coming to hot faster guys in the back I usually get bumped around and end up in the grass. Leaving me with very little or no interest in trying to catch up the leaders with a 12+sec gap and dirty tires through the hardest part of the first lap.

I guess (by what I've seen) that the most common solution is to use a Skyline and hold people off (well... sort of) in the first half of L1 and then pull away.

It's a bit like a previous Suzuka 600 event with the R8 where one could lead form start to finish. But this time the skylines really look to be parked on T1 which causes a bit of a pile up. That did not happen with the R8, which was faster from the line and cornered very fast.

I guess what I mean is, I really miss the old 600 Suzuka event... I can still remember some awesome races in it.

I just pull off to the side at the start. Let them get a small lead. Be on their tails as the exit T1. Most of the cars that are going to go off, already have. Now you just have to watch the cars going into the esses. I usually go from last to to 6 or so right there. Then its just a matter of working your way through traffic.
