I found GT Planet researching set-ups in GT Sport. I live 45 miles N of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I'm in my 60s and very vaguely remember Sir Jack Brabham changing the game forever in the Cooper. Bought my 1st PS 1 in 95 and still have it tucked away. My pop drove midgets and sprints until mom made him quit when I came along. His pic is my avatar. I played with Indycars and Prototypes for 15 years then got out at 47. Lived in China and Vietnam for a decade then came back to the USA. There was one constant everywhere I went in Asia, Gran Turismo !!

Hi I’ve played racing games all my life. I recently left a Forza Horizon 5 club because people weren’t really playing and their times were too slow for rivals. I’m hoping to find more competition here. I played GT sport quite a bit, but lost interest after 2 years. I’m in the fence about GT7, I will wait for a sale. FH5 is my main racer atm.
I’ve joined the GTP club and my handle in game is IcySlivers

i am Mike from Austria.

started with Gran Turismo 1 on PS.

Had all Games beside Sport. I don´t play online.

Only Controller with directional pad and square and X

Lastet for Gold in all Licences and Missions :-)

I love the God of War / Uncharted Series.

Ghost of Tsushima is also Great!

  • Found the website googling tips on how to beat the touring 600.. brutal championship without the right guidance (found it here and nailed it with the GT-R Nismo and custom build from a friendly forum member)
  • From USA
  • First started racing games with a Nintendo 8 bit racing game forget its name but GT6 was king for most of Covid shutdown in 2020
-No steering wheel since maybe late 90s early 00s
-Resident evil, animal crossing, doom, cod
-hoping to learn more about cars and how to customize the cars in GT to maximize my times

I started with Gran Turismo 1 and 2 as a kid, but never really got good at them and took a hiatus until GT Sport on PS4.

What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?

Learning more about cars and racing from people, and sharing hot takes based on 0 knowledge or experience.

Amazing pic! Sim-Racing still seems to be huge here in Hong Kong. I guess because it’s as close as most of us can get to a fast car and an open road :)

I found GTPlanet by searching for a suitable GT7 Nissan GT-R Nismo ‘17 tune
I’m from the US (Chicago)
I’ve been playing racing games since Sega Genesis Road Rage 😂. Been a fan of GT since PS2 version (2000 or so)
Yes, I play with a wheel. I mainly use the Fanatec McLaren GT3 V2 wheel, but I’ll swap on the Fanatec DD Pro wheel when I‘m dirt racing.
I enjoy Forza, Assetto Corsa Competizione (I’m new to that game), F1 Series (started with F1 2019), FPS (Call of Duty, APEX Legends), and sports (FIFA, Madden)
I look forward to learning from the top gamers and sharing any little knowledge I have regarding GT

I started i heard more and more about it.
I'm from Italy but moved to Scotland in 2016 so i know both English and Italian.
When i was young my uncle gave me a PS2 whit GT4 and since then i'm a big fan of the series.
I play whit a Logitech G29 and a Logitech shifter that i got in 2020.
I really got into TrackMania lately and I'm seeking to improve.
I hope to meet new people that are willing to help me improve in Gran Turismo.

This is the 1st time I own a drive sim rig. Hoping to learn how to expand my drive sim rig from here.

I'm Martin from Malaysia. I've been lurking on GTPlanet since the days of GT6.
My first racing game was GT1. I use a logitech G29 wheel.
I mostly play racing games (GT7, Dirt Rally 2.0, Project Cars 2), but also like most other game genres.
I hope to learn more about GT7's car tuning from the community and to share my experiences in sim racing.

Found the site just googling forums to discuss sim racing. GT7 in particular.

I'm from Louisiana.

I'm 46 and have enjoyed racing gAmes since the days of Pole Position in the arcade. Was a long time Forza guy but haven't touched it or done any sim racing for a good 4 or 5 years. Got back into it with the release of GT7.

I was pad user up until my last couple years with Forza when I finally picked up a wheel. Forza just never felt right on the wheel for me. With GT7 I'm currently using a Thrustmaster T150 and just recently upgraded my old T3PA pedals to the T-LCM load cell pedals. All attached to a Next Level Racing F-GT rig.

Don't play many other games except MLB The Show and looking forward to the next God of War.

Looking forward to discussing the game and getting to know some fellow sim racers.

Stumbled across this forum when looking for tips on certain Gr. cars and thought why not sign up?

I’m loving the online race setup on GT7, I’m on PS5 and using a controller, but I’m honest enough to admit that I can’t keep up with any of you monsters that are grades A & S. That’s just another league to me.

I’m looking for any online racing leagues, hopefully categorised by our racing level on the game (I’m currently C&B). I enjoy racing the Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars mostly but open to change.

Hello. I found gtplanet looking up questions on gt7. I'm from Minnesota. Been playing racing games most of my life. I have a wheel setup just don't have space for the rig currently. Mostly play gt7, dirt rally, carx, and bf4. I make liveries on gt7 (mostly drift liveries) so if you have any requests just let me know.
 
hi everybody, i'm from Italy and i stumbled upon this site some time ago, while looking for info about gran turismo. Been lurking the forums for a long time so today i decided to take the plunge and (finally) properly join the community. I play on a controller.
 
I've been visiting this site for years and have really enjoyed the content that you all have provided. I personally enjoy playing racing sims on consoles such as Assetto Corsa, Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport, and Project Cars! I enjoy the content...keep up the good work!
 
Hello all. I'm from the U.S.A. I found GTplanet a couple of years ago when I started playing Gran Turismo 4. I've been playing racing games my whole life but never got into Gran Turismo since I never had PlayStations. Racing games are just one genre out of many I enjoy playing. I use a Logitech Driving Force Pro!

Atari Pole Position, yes that dates me as being a bit older..

My Logitech OG Gt Force, but I have the new Logitech G923 on order... it arrives this Sunday. Cant wait to pair it with my NextLevel chair.

I play EA NHL series rather religiously, I also race iRacing on ovals every Saturday. I give AAA titles like Uncharted, Tomb Raider, and Assasins Creed a play through when they go on sale.

  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?
Gran Turismo is an excellent game, however it has many nooks and crannies and knowing where the best places to grind fun credits is a bit off putting. I like collecting all the cars, that requires credits that seem almost hidden like off beat path God of War chest.
