Good morning everyone! I've been aware of GTPlanet for a number of years, either through news articles I'd seen posted around the web or from word of mouth from old associates, but I never got around to creating a profile in here.
I'm from the United States on the East Coast.
My father used to the original Gran Turismo 1-3 on the PlayStation 1 and 2, so he often would let me have a go at it (Barely understood how to drive in those games, so I wouldn't count them). My first racing game I really got involved with was Gran Turismo 5 in 2010. I've been involved in the GT series ever since.
I used to play with a steering wheel briefly on Gran Turismo Sport using a Thrustmaster T150. It wasn't a very good setup though, since I bolted it to a lunch tray and wedged it into my couch while the pedals were held in place by being pinned against a wooden chest. That said, I have found that the DualSense controllers on PS5 are well-suited for the game, so I don't see myself using the T150 or upgrading.
Outside of Gran Turismo, I'm also a fan of Ace Combat, Battlefield, Grand Theft Auto, and PlanetSide 2.
In terms of this community, I'm looking forward to trying to find like-minded drivers who want to race online in Gran Turismo 7. While I am active in Sport Mode events, I find that those races are limited in the types of cars that you can choose/people tend to focus on the strongest cars. I have a particular fondness for historic races and I've also done online endurance races of up to 4 hours.

I began to play racing games when i had Outrun for my Sega GameGear, but i seriously begin when Gran turismo and Ridge Racer type 4 went out to playstation!
I play with steering wheel and with pad… for endurance races i prefer pad, but the steering wheel is another level of sensations!
I love every kind of games, but i prefer to stay with racing games… i love drive cars!
Here in the forum i’m looking for everything, mainly photoscapes, livery design and car settings!

I found GTPlanet trying to remember what were the daily races 3 weeks ago.
I currently race on a PS4, mostly GT7, but will move to a PS5 in a few weeks.
From this forum, I am seeking yo get more insight into the Sim world and just improve generally.
I use a Fanatec DD Pro,but don't race that often, maybe 3 - 4 hours a week. I just got into sim in April, so really haven't been putting in the driving practice as would be best to improve.
I currently have a B for my DR and S for my SR

HI, I'm carlos from brazil joined the forum because I'm having trouble submitting some decals to gt7 and want someone to help me out making then (that's what I get for trying to make obscure racing schemes on the game right?) I play racing games since 92 I guess and I'm a avid racing fan, great to be here with you guys

I found gtplanet while googling what track would be a good substitute to tune a '17 Ford GT for La Mans. Forza MS 7 is the only racing game I play at the moment. I play on XboX One with a controller. I used to play "Flat Out" on the PS2. Great game. I am from Fort Worth, Texas.

*I knew about gtplanet by someone recomendation in Facebook.
*I'm from Mexico and I'm 48 years old.
*I started playig racing games several years ago, but simracing one year ago.
*I started using a Logitech G29, and now a Thrustmaster t300 rs gt since 3 months ago.
*Mainly I like racing, GT7, ACC, F1, WRC.
*What I most look for, is a place to race with clean racers.
What I would like to know is, as I just said, find a place to race in GT7, ACC, F1 for PS5 with clean racers.

I am from Portugal, 30y old, and live in the UK.
Been playing racing games since I was a kid (my first all-time game was TOCA2) but never too seriously.
Have tried a steering wheel and considering buying one but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I also enjoy strategy games (think CoH, Hearts of Iron, etc).

Currently DR B \ S - looking to try and get up to A.
Also keen to get to know more members from NZ, and get involved in any local leagues, or alternatively look to setting one up for us Kiwis on the other side of the earth (and clock for that matter!)

Helo, im wes, a.k.a. deathwhitezombi on ps5, discovered this when searching some place to discus gt7 problems! I play on the ps5 with the playseat and the fanatec DD desinged for gt7

This helped me. Go into Ghost settings and set offset time to 0.2 sec, this puts your ghost ahead of you and all you have to do is get closer to the ghost. Hope it works for you

Yeah the best thing you can do in the online time trial is to download one of the top 10 players ghost and try to keep up with it while you drive. If you're close to it you will set a good lap time, if not, just keep trying. It's all about trial and error.
