Hi all. Casual GT fan from the old days. I've always been a smash and grab driver, but have recently really worked on tightening my game with some marginal inconsistent success. However, without looking for any advice or tips I seem to do alright in the time trials on sport. First show was a bronze on Sarthe and I'm 2 tenths from silver at WG currently. I know I've a long way to go to match up with most of you nerds (complimentary) but I'm here for it.

I actually am so old school and ham fisted that I was probably the longest D-pad holdout (just started with the analog stick last week) from the old days with the OG PS. I know, I know. Laugh please. It's fair.

Anyway, happy to be here and to hopefully learn a few things to help bump my lap times a couple seconds. You guys seem to really have it dialed.

I've always browsed on gt planet but only made an account now😅
I'm from south africa
I've been playing racing games since underground 2 and shifted towards forza as my main series
I've used steering wheels like logistics but not anymore because during a rage it was in the way and never see another day😶😪
Love other games like cod, gta, and like fifa not for the gameplay but because its the only football game

Hello GT corner of the internet!

Can't remember how I found this place, but have been trolling the website for about 10 years now and just decided to join the forums.

I'm from New Zealand, started playing racing games since og GT, Ridge Racer and Wipeout on PS1.
Currently playing with the Moza R5 DD setup, before that the trusty G29, before that dual shock controllers and an ancient Mad Catz wheel in between.

I enjoy fps games (though don't really play much anymore), chess, and the occasional NBA2K. Now I primarily play racing games, mostly GT7 and ACC, and sometimes AC. May give iRacing a go in the future.

Nothing really to look forward to here, just seeing like minded peoples opinions on the game, how they play it, what they share, may add my 2c. Normal forum stuff.

Cheers.

1.Looking up tuning advice and or setups for GT3 & 4 for PS2.
2.York, Pennsylvania
3. Honestly right away, like as soon as I picked up a set of sticks. The game was Gran Turismo 3 V Spec
4. I use to have a logitech for PS2 back in the day, but as of currently I have a T80 but unfortunately I need a stand or something to clamp it onto.
5. I enjoy the Mortal Kombat fighting games, went to a local Comic-Con with my older brother one time and it had a Mortal Kombat 9 Tournament sponsored by EB Games/GameSpot, and I made it to the finals and got chees'd. Dude kept low blocking then uppercutting me, couldn't get around it. But anyhow, COD every now and then is fun, mainly racing.
6. I plan to make friendships and bonds with individuals that love cars in anyway shape or form of the word. I don't care if your a grip racer, hillclimb, rally, drifting, drag racing, nascar, dirt oval, motocross WSBK, F1, Monster Trucks even, if it's got a motor and wheels I'm down for it lol. Anyhow I also hope that I can make and or help more of the community come together and work together for things that we ALL would like to see ACTUALLY happen in GT7, like more tracks, drivetrain swaps, engine swaps, etc.
Thank you for letting me be a part of this badass forum.🤙🙏

Just found I could contact GT7 here so I signed up.

Live in USA

I've always played a racing game occasionally, but got hooked with "Nascar 06: Total Team Control" (I'd argue the first and last true-ish Nascar team game)

No driving wheel as I'd need a legit realistic setup to not get motion sickness (it's vertigo related)

I like creation games or exploration games aside from racing games

Bonus: My favorite vehicle is the Vector W8. I just saw a real one a month ago by chance at a car museum! That's also what brought me here!

I came here to ask if it's possible the Vector W8 can be brought to GT7

Hi everyone,

i am from germany and live close to our famous "Nordschleife" :-)
over 3k laps i did on it in motorbikes and cars. i had 8x full-year tourist tickets...
my cars in that time: Subaru SVX and an Alpina B10
Bikes: Honda Fireblade SC33, SC50 and SC57, BMW S1000RR

My 1st GT was GT3 on my 1st Playstation (PS2)
I love racing in sims as well as IRL

Now finally i got an PS5 early this year, surely with GT7 ^^
I also have an almost new Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel with ClubSport Pedals, from the GT5 times, which i like now to connect to my PS5, and thats the main reason for now why i am here... i often found this famous website during my searchings, but (i think) i never registered here before, or yes? i dont know..hehe 🙃

ok, keep racing and maybe we meet sometimes for a race :-)

cheers^^

Welcome. Maybe you can post some picture of your car collection. I'm interested in your philosophy of it. So you live in the UK. Cool, I'm Chris. I'm glad that you found GT planet, I found it 2 years ago. I wish I had known back in 2005 when it was around cause I had trouble in gt3.

Hello, I found GTPlanet while trying to find a tuner for GT7.
U an firom KY, but reside in CA.

I started playing racing game when I was a teen.
I use a joy stick, but hope to get a steering wheel.

At the current time I am stuck playing GT7. I can't seem to put it down. I am also having trouble learning how to tune. If someone could give me a few pointers, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank upi.

I'm so sorry, I didn't see this topic last week, so.....here I am!

I found GTPlanet while searching on the web for tips and suggestions about switching from the controller to a wheel, I really liked how the new dual sense felt with the PS5 but it seemed a little bit "narrow"...you know, it didn't feel right to drive with it, I needed something more, so I decided to move to a budget wheel to get started and googled, GtPlanet was the top notch forum for this.
I'm from Italy, but aside from the big love for the italian cars that just everyone adore, I use every great car that GT has, I'm not country focused, I'm a big Porsche and Audi lover btw.
But in my heart there's a big Alfa Romeo logo, I've got to be honest.
I've been playing videogames for the better part of the last 30years and racing games since che first GT on PS1, but I still sucks, so....
I'm using a G923 wheel, I love it, a good budget choice that I found used in near new condition from a guy next to where I live, it's great.

Hello, my real Name is Thorsten, but all my friends call me ACHI
Im a German and living in Austria
I found GTPlanet in Google search coz i need an answer for my question.
I started playing the PS4 GTSport in 2019 and now there is no support, so i changed to GT7

Howdy! This is my first foray into Gran Turismo with a sim-racing setup and first time competing online. I began playing GT5 back in the PS3 days but it was the PSVR2 which convinced me to get serious and begin racing online. I’m looking forward to discovering more about this thrilling world of GT7 racing online - Cheers!

Hi everybody,

I found this site via Google ... what a surprise ... while searching for help to get my favourite car in GT7 ...
I come from Germany and
I startet playing racing games long long ago when the first real hardware PC Gaming graphics card was born, the 3DFX-Voodoo-Card, a add-on-card for the normal Grafik-cards which were at this time far away from being able to manage 3D-Graphics calculation in real time ...
I sadly never owned a steering wheel ... :-(
3D-Adventures I like too ...
Getting and giving help ... if I can ...

greetings,

baldanders

Welcome, what part of Germany do you live in? I only owned one steering wheel back in 2002 when I had my ps2. It was specifically for the NFS and Gran Turismo games to help me be a better driver. It broke after 2 years of using it. I'm Chris, would you be my friend?

Hello

Found GTP after purchase of PS5 and GT7 on launch day.

UK

Last race game was GT3

Wheel user DD Pro, V2 pedals, McClaren GT3.

Not enough hours in the day for other games.
