nice to see you & erik team up in iRacing hurley!, me & immortal are teaming up also probably in mid august you guys will see us more active in this thread too.. :)

Now I made the suits to match the car Jav, pretty sweet.

I don't have a picture of it as every time I try do a screenshot I only get a black screen. But it was a nice way to find my pit slot when I see the H&R logo on the guy waving with the stop sign ;)

My rig is getting more and more complete as well. All home made btw.

Qualify to the Grand Am Showdown 1.21.8, not very good compared to the best, but I'm happy with it. I just started a month ago ;)

It's because you have it in full screen, either take it out of full screen in the graphics menu or download Fraps for free and use it to take a screenshot in full screen

It's so much work... Fraps was genius, but still I wished I could do a single screen, screen shot without turning it down from 3 screens first, change the fov as 150 is a bit tunnel sight on a single monitor and then turn everything back after a picture or two!!

I guess I will be using a lot of cropping tool in Photoshop ;)

I think all these paints are awesome, but I get bored with seeing race cars that look like race cars (if that makes any sense). There some amazingly realistic replicas and original works out there, but they always feel the same to me, just with different sponsors.

I tried my first paint and wanted something unique that really stood out.

I'm a Japanese anime fan, and while High School of The Dead isn't my favorite, it's a got great theme (blood, zombies, and girls). So I came up with this for my truck:

Not exactly "racecar" but I love it, and it was easy to do.

^ That's pretty cool actually, probably the only one that looks like that. Nice work 👍

@ErikAndre71, that rig looks sweet. Did you post more pics someplace?

No, I'm waiting for the Derek Spear Design Button box and I also have a fetish for clean wiring. For now it looks more like black spaghetti than clean wiring.. But I will make something about it when it start to look more "cleaned up"

I even plan to paint the wall and the roof in this corner of fun black for better picture focus.

But I have to say it's hard to go out of the seat to do other things than driving, so yes it's sweet, a bit to sweet ;)

superbike81 nice one!!

Yeah nice rig erik, I wish i had room for something like that. I am a bit jelous :P

How do you "connect" three screens anyway? Is it just plug in extra HDMI cables from your PC? Never thought about it sorry.

All depends on your equipment. Me for example, I've got three screens with display port inputs and a video card with 6 display port outputs, so I just connect them directly and it works great. My old setup I had to use 1 display port to DVI adapter, one DVI, and one HDMI connection. It just all depends on which video card you have and what type of connections you have available on your monitors.

Lol! Did you ever figure out the number location thing on the DP? I'm still scratching my head about it...

Yeah - here it is. Answer was from Alex Fournelle over on the iRacing forums.

The car pattern you chose in the website's paint room (which you should keep using for all poor souls who don't use tradingpaints) will dictate the number placement. -- Most cars have only one spot but some have a few patterns that move it around. (I think it's the Riley that has a 'star' pattern which puts the number on the front?). So choose the pattern that puts the number where you want it (if one is offered).

edit - Just having a flick through the Riley patterns on iRacing and they all keep the number on the front wing :ouch:

These are not as cool as the majority paints here. but really enjoy painting it .

Just so i understand, only people who have Trading Paints can use and view other templates on iracing? I use custom paint, but i hardly ever see anyone else using them. Maybe its just a lower level thing? I keep my lists up to date in hopes to see some cool designs on the track.

You don't have to use Trading paint to use a custom paint, but you will be alone to see it. If you use it and upload it everyone else using Trading paints will see it (if they subscribed to that particular car in the program itself)

So to the guys not yet running it: http://www.tradingpaints.com/ (if you want to see some of the fantastic work done to the cars)

I use trading paints also, and I see quite a few custom paint jobs out there. In the Grand Am Showdown I think 50% of the field I was in had custom paint jobs done. But many of the custom paint jobs aren't as fancy as are shown here so it's hard to spot them ;)

Yeah, in the Lotus series pretty much everyone uses custom skins, resembling classic F1 cars. Makes the grid look great.

It's very rare to see custom skins on Rookie series, once you get to Grand Touring Cup you'll start seeing a few of them, on the DP they are more common but to be honest I wish more people would use TP! There's a lot of great painters on the iRacing forums like Fredrik Follestad, Danny Browes and Sergio Plata who share their work for free so there's no real excuse not to run it! I think is just people not knowing about it.

It'd be great if iRacing could include trading paints with the service as an optional extra.

That would be great, but I'm sure the reason they decide to do it this way is to shield themselves legaly. Legaly they can't even provide us with the FW31 template to avoid copyright issues with FOM and all the legal crap, I'm pretty sure it's the same with many other teams and series.

A few recent liveries I had painted for my team. Mostly they turned out well.

True, stupid licensing laws!

It'll be interesting to see if they change anything though when the 'Teams' feature is released, as if I remember correctly, there will be an option to set a team paint scheme.
