You have to save it as a .tga in the paint folder of the iRacing directory. It also has to be saved as your iRacing member number.

Thanks man, it helped me a lot. I've just finished my first iRacing skin. Its a livery based on the Youtube Channel I have with my friends and it's a very simple skin. It took about 2 hours to finish.

Edit: Just finished this, I could use a better quality Raybrig logo and I wish we could get the chrome effect in iRacing...

Ya sure let me see what hpd skins you willing to share if u dont mind. One day I planned to make my own but it will be a few weeks. In the meanwhile I can sport yours 👍
 
thank you sir! But I'm not satisfied with the Takata HPD... Maybe I need something to blend the Green and white better...
 
Hmm. For the takata hpd, I think it could benefit from a lighter shade of green or some kind of teal? It's not quite the takata nsx color(a greener teal almost) but looks good nonetheless. Rebellion hpd is so sweet.

Hey do you think you could try your hand How about this. I will make the crown royal hpd! I have to see this lol! I imagine it's earlier in the thread but I don't know how to search on iPhone, where is the hpd template?
 
I don't think you'll ever get the proper color. The main problem with the custom paint on iRacing is that everything is glossy. No matter what you do, you will not be able to get metallic, chrome, or matte colors. I've tried to get Matte colors correct for a few years now and it just never does.
 
This is the first paint i've done. How do i know which layer to paint on? Ive managed to tur everything purple in the "mask" layer. Also whats wit all the exotic coloring that has about 10 layers of differnt skins. Is that what a car might look like?
 
Lol!! I knew it would turn your brain upside down! Just get rid of all the Green/red/blue layers and use the base layer.
 
Oooh. It all becomes clear. So all those funny colored layers are really just templates for a specific type of design. Tipped off when i saw the one with the funny flames lol. The the "wire" is sort of just the guide. Still have to make out what piece is what piece lol.

i made a mess lol. The nose area needs work. I wasnt sure what to put there and photoshop was being annoying, or i dont know how to use it... And i couldnt find any Honda or Acura logos that did not have giant white borders....

Please get rid of the gray. Make it white or something. Black stripe with black logo's and then a dark gray is not very good. Not enough contrast in my opinion.
