IRS | Toyota 86 Racing Series | Mondays 9p EST | BIG FINALE TONIGHT: Dragon Trail - Seaside II

Dude... Chill.

First off I'm not running heavy damage. The risk isn't worth it in my eyes. Secondly, I'm only emulating the real world in so many ways and were barely doing that in the first place. Third, there's never enough people on for a good practice night. Thats why I suggested the first race.

If we can get a large grid for practice then great but if not maybe I'll just shelve the whole idea until after this season. We can use the week after this season to test things and then start the next season after that. Sounds good?

Only thing nick is doing is stating everything u say to do he is doing and it's not being dealt with I've personally listened to him scream it for two weeks as far as the rest of it goes I don't care u want opinions you have them use them don't that's up to you man

If considering any damage, I recommend light damage because we don't need to pit for fuel/tires. If I wreck (my fault or not) on turn one and get heavy damage that requires a pit, Im backing out if the race.

I'm trying my best with everything. If more people send me Incident Reports with more details it will help to sort out what's what. Going forward I may need to hire a steward...

And with people of lesser skill levels racing with us combined with reverse grids, that's exactly why I won't use heavy damage. This is to help the series work on all skill levels and keep the fun factor up.

I'm going to dinner now so I can't give full lengthy responses to anything for a little while. Maybe try to organize a practice room for tonight?

Dp I agree we should have more than one steward and issue a time penalty for said incident not points or lose of position

I'd like to have someone else to look at things and work with, it should actually be an odd number of people though. The only requirement really is that you can respond in a timely manner so we can sort things out right away.

Going to dinner, be back in an hour.

This has since been removed :boggled:
Nick and I discussed it in private and came to the conclusion that it doesn't belong if I'm going to make final decisions on things. Of course this series is still something that is evolving all the time through suggestions and and testing. I still highly encourage everyone to continue chiming in on anything that matters to them so we can work together for the greater good.

On a more important note, what are you doing here?

There will be a test session tomorrow night at 8pm EST. We will be trying out the rolling starts and heavy damage. My original concern about where people are when it goes green is mooted by the fact that we only have 221HP to work with. Even with a good start the gap will still be only so big. I hate saying that people should know better but heavy damage should deter the more daring drivers from trying the riskier maneuvers. As far as clean driving in general goes, the GTP OLR is linked in the first post so everyone can freshen up whenever they need to.

I'd also like two people to volunteer to join me to steward the races. It needs to be an odd number so we remain democratic. Send me a private message if you are interested.

I don't think we're gonna get a lot of people tonight. I'm toying with the idea of just skipping next week and using next Wednesday to test some things. I already know you guys are available on Wednesday nights and there's nothing wrong with delaying the next season for one week just to tweak some things, right? I'll still be on a bit tonight but we should get a proper test session with a large grid and so we can get more info out of it.

Everyone okay with testing next Wednesday and delaying Season 4 by one week?

Also, how about doing this between every season from now on? It's nice to get a week off from all the rush of the season championship and we can use it to test things out.
