My real car - 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1
GT5 - the two closest are the 1970 Mustang TransCammer and the 1971 Mach 1

My car is actually closer to the 71 in terms of running gear because it has the same engine but I have an upgraded automatic from a 5.0 instead of the four speed manual (Top Loader).

I don't know what my time exactly because on the "free ride" days you can't complete the whole lap. You have to get off before and there is often a little traffic jam near the exit so you have to slow down early.

If I could complete a whole round I think my lap time will be around 10 minutes or over.
There are two problems for me getting better times. The car is totally stock because I kinda like it the way it is but the brakes are not sufficient enough for the ring (maybe I need to engine break a bit more? The downhill sections are more steep then they seem in the game). And the other problem is fear. There are a lot of crashes on the ring and I don't want to be one of them so I’m driving a little bit careful.
 
My exact model and spec was in one of the early games (1 or 2, I can't remember which), but I don't think there'd be much call for a '99 Ford Mondeo 2.5 V6 24v GhiaX (you could even have it in the same silver mine is in) in the modern games. I found it slightly weird it was in the game in the first place: it's not exactly sporty, despite the big engine (by UK standrads, at least), and the GhiaX is weighed down by climate, cruise control, full leather, faux-wood dash etc.

Weirdly, my dad's Jaguar is in there, as is my mum's VW Polo.

Cant help but to notice your putting "Evo's" under FWD cars?.. Evolutions are all wheel drive turbo's, far from front wheel drive.. (I'm an Evo owner)..

Oops..I apologize. The cobalt was faster around the ring..That was my main point. (Evo's are considered fast cars!)
 
Amazing pics guys. The guy w/the white Suby...WOW how excellent at finding pics that were so similar!!

Also, I'm 45 yrs old and have to stop and say a huge THANKS to the developers for bringing this one out. I've been doing racing 'sims' since my 1st PC was able to play them...

It's a good day when you have to do a DOUBLETAKE to figure out which pic is REAL and which is the GAME!? AWESOME!

Lovely car at the top! I drive a RS Twingo 133 in Glacier White and am getting my GW 200 Cup soon! Still LOVE the 197! (edit: is that a Clio GT or a 197? I could have sworn it's a 197 on first glance)

Yep, one of 'em is: Fiat Coupé 20v Turbo. Held the record for quickest accelerating production FWD for quite some time. Fast enough to hold off a Range Rover Sport Supercharged on the highway, as I've come to experience (hehe, 500 bhp ain't got nothing on a sleek and light-ish 220 bhp coupe above 100 mph when you're shaped like a brick, apparently). I have a red one and absolutely adore it!

Too bad about Saab as I also have a 900NG Turbo. And a Honda Concerto with a sohc ZC D16 on twin carbs. But none of them work at the moment. :(

Closest I suppose is the C63 AMG, althought it's not as pretty :P

Clearly you're doing well for yourself financially...nice car.

I've got a 2004 4-door Infiniti G35 and I've seen it in the game but cannot buy it yet. As soon as it pops up in the used car lot, I'm buying it and wasting a fortune tuning it.
 
Ha! I found a picture of my old car, a 2001 Acura ITR, and then found it in the used car dealership in GT5. Same color!

I wish I could put wheels on it, and see the interior! This car later saw heavy modification to the head, Hondata ECU, all the bolt-on goodies...was making just over 200 at the wheels, all motor. What a blast it was. *sigh*...those were the days!
 
Close... I have a 2002 Audi A4, supposedly there's a 2003 S4, so it's pretty similar. Although I've been searching daily since the game was released, and still no S4. :(
