So peaceful.
What do you mean by infield? Any Non Muslims? If so then BS. Do people realise that Jihad also applies to those who study and work hard like science? Those who pray and help other people. People who being patient and not willing to give up their lifes. You don't need to fight in the army at war to consider it jihad. The only people that are deserved to be murdered/
executed
based on Islam are murderers who are too dangerous to the community (in other words, terrorists and any mass killers) or enemies invading your region (*Cough* pretty much every single war since humanity began?). Also note how I said those who are invading and threating us and not simply an atheist who don't believe in God.

Isn't it just your perception? If there is some topic, looks like islamic terrorism is popular lately, I can go on a tirade about how perfect my country is (because we have little to no muslim population), but that doesn't mean we don't have other problems, it's just topic is different.

And I would be very surprised if someone on the GTPlanet behaves like you have described. But I don't track every thread here so I may be wrong and you may have a valid reason to be upset.
In both real life and the internet, I always hear that Arabs or Muslims countries are the worst kind of places with such aggressive people, slavery, terrorism, that they stuck in 14th century and pretry much hell. They often make it worse than it is and wish they wipe the entire part of the region for being different. They will praises themselves as civilised people and they will go on how us should become modern (or in our perspective, westernize everything in our culture and believes).

Now look, we all for democracy and having a voice. We all against terrorism. We all discrimination against religions and races. The problem is that some people don't understand that people around the world grown up with different environments and people. For example, people here are far more private and tend to value generosity and family relations differently. It reached to the point that plenty of women herw are happy with how their lifes right now are. They grew up and simply accepted how lifes work here. You couldn't tell them what is right and wrong without hearing some disagreement.

In the same way people look at us and think how oppressed and poorly treated they are, conservatives over here will look at the west and think "Oh they treat women like some whores, casual sex with strangers and not giving a **** about their morality...etc. glad that i'm proud to be an Arab who wouldn't cheat on anyone." You see how stupid we think that way? Exactly, everyone saying the same to each other because they don't understand the different culture. They will always prefer themselves.

Tell me, if people in other parts of the world are civilised and have high human rights standards then why discrimination against minorities still exists? You just said that your country is better without Muslims. There you go, "Islamphobic" or anti muslim. There are still stigma against Arabs or blacks. There are plenty of hate between different nationalities with bad relations. There are still plenty of homophobics in places where it's acceptable.

And there we go back to my original post...if people really care about Women and gay rights in Arab countries then why people still hates gay and female arabs for being...well Arabs or muslims? Shouldn't people be more welcoming them and supporting their problems? Isn't it why people hate arab government because they give unfair treatments towards several people?

Except for the part about killing the infidels in both the Old Testament and Koran.

Not disagreeing with most of that, but I will say that there is a big difference between some individual citizens being racist or otherwise bigoted and the government enforcing discriminatory policies. The first one can be dismissed, and the latter has the rule of force. For that reason, you'll find that most people respond differently to bigoted individuals as compared to oppressive laws.

Agai, what do you mean by that?

I asked scholars, imams and sheikhs (as in old islamic teachers, not some billionaire royal family) and they said you shall not kill anyone who isn't harming you. What you mean by killing "infield" is by getting killed from the enemy while fighting for your country.
Killing people who didn't do harm to you at all is sinful. Again, look at wars...soldiers who died defending their country are honored for their loyalty and willing to protect their country. Same thing goes to Jihad.

And I said it before, why do you think women are oppressed?

Ops made a mistake on the infidels word.

Koran

Old Testament Deuteronomy

17
If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant; 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 17:4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

6
If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, 7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. 9 You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. 10 Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 11 Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and no one among you will do such an evil thing again.

12
If you hear it said about one of the towns the Lord your God is giving you to live in 13 that troublemakers have arisen among you and have led the people of their town astray, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods you have not known), 14 then you must inquire, probe and investigate it thoroughly. And if it is true and it has been proved that this detestable thing has been done among you, 15 you must certainly put to the sword all who live in that town. You must destroy it completely, both its people and its livestock. 16 You are to gather all the plunder of the town into the middle of the public square and completely burn the town and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God. That town is to remain a ruin forever, never to be rebuilt.

...and of course Numbers 31 is all over the God thread.

oh, whole internet so nothing surprising, lots of BS everywhere, I wouldn't pay attention to that.

and btw. do you actually live in Qatar? Would be surprising to hear that kind of thing in an Arab country.

You just said that your country is better without Muslims. There you go, "Islamphobic" or anti muslim.

I said that we don't have problems with islamic terrorism.

Discrimination in the law is non-existent, if you talk about bias some people have then yes, there will always be some.

...except the part in the 10 commandments which says thou shalt not kill. So confusing. Yahweh needs to get it straight, do we kill the infidels or not? He says yes and no (across books). He certainly makes no bones about his followers needing to be willing to kill their own children on command.

...but it's all super consistent because God.
Nope.

Thou shall not Murder is how it appears originally.

Leave's plenty of room for killing if God says you can.

Is there a part where it's not murder if Yahweh says kill? Do we have a clear definition of murder? I'm still going with inconsistent.

It honestly wouldn't matter either way, as idiots will always find a way of making it fit what they want it to fit.

However don't murder is still a much looser limit than don't kill.

Time I would guess, that and a desire to 'rewrite' the word of God to suit specific needs.

Quite a bit was in the Torah around exactly when you are and are not allowed to kill people.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thou_shalt_not_kill

You're right, there's an exemption in there that says killing the infidels is not murder (regardless of whether it was in response to a specific instruction from God). So the Christians need the Torah to clear this up.

Same as Christianity of course, but that's hardly surprising. Killing on God's command is quite lawful for christers.
Why does this keep getting brought up? I haven't seen anyone blow themselves up in the name of Jesus lately...

Does it need to be a sucide attack to make it any different from any other form of bombings?

If so why?

If not then I have a very, very long list of Christians blowing people up for you.

That's a surprisingly odd and little bit on the darker side than usual ad for that ISP to do, considering usually at ramadan, they do commercials with families of all age groups celebrating and spending time together happily with a girl "singing" or "chanting" in the background.

I'm more surprised on how it ended up here tho.

@Danoff and @novcze I'm sorry if I haven't replied yet but I lost interest in talking about this whole topic. I lost and you won.

No. Can you name any attacks/bombings in the name of Jesus or Christianity in the last year?

I just found this one in another thread.
The only vague connection happens to be the name. No where in the article I skimmed mentions Christianity being the answer.
They are flat out racists.

It does, but it's still has a firm element of Christian sectarianism.

Ireland's not the only place with it either. Sectarian violence is still not uncommon between football firms in Scotland.
Yes, alot of which is northern ireland disputes spilling into scotland.

Sorry but no it's not.

Scotland was predominantly Catholic, it's had a Catholic Queen. The English made sure she was the last one.

The history of English and Scotland has some rather deep seated sectarian roots. As does the whole English Reformation, which lead in large part to the English civil war and the persecution of Catholics on a massive scale.

It happened to be on the front page of reddit and it seemed remarkably relevant given the semi-regular claims that Muslims need to stand up to extremism.
Now i'm wondering how did it end up there since this ad made for the middle eastern market.

Some what related but for the last 2 years, there was some local comedy show on a channel that parodies several problems around the region and some of them featured about Daesh, Sunni vs. Shia "War", Saudi Authority...etc.

Interesting to see some controversial topics being there.

Will 52 do?

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp....rror-threat-ira-northern-ireland-bomb-attacks

And please don't try the no true Scotsman falacy with what is Christian sectarian violence.
Not all bombings are created equal apparently. The broader truth - 1 bombing, 22 deaths, 52 bombings 1 death. Looks like one is out to kill lots of people and the other is not, not quite apples and apples. Of course I have to add the caveat that I don't condone bombing or killing people or terrorism even though some will ignore it.
