Come on people do we really need the speculation on 20 tracks to STILL go on?!

SP is shipping with 35 tracks. The flagship game on a 50GB blu-Ray is not going to be outdone by a handheld. Not going to happen.
If you don't understand that and think it's just 20 tracks I suggest you read again and if you still don't get it - don't post.
We don't need, quite frankly, ridiculous speculation and apocalyptic heralds of the tragic shape GT5 will be in upon release.

People, Ive been thinking, GT4 had 3 variations for Suzuka, but they counted as 3 different tracks... Same goes for Sarthe, it had 2 variations, but it counted as 2 tracks... Anyway off to play GT4 wanna see if im right.
EDIT: Ok so Ive been counting, and GT4 had 37 tracks, excluding variation. So maybe 53 tracks in GT4 meant including variations.
Maybe over 60 variations in GT5 isn't as bad as we think. It says over 20 tracks. could be anything, most likely 20-25. DLC will push that number up.

The information on the GT5 website that was leaked a couple of weeks ago after GamesCom said that there was 60 tracks confirmed, and 20 unconfirmed..

Well atleast we know GT5 will have atleast, 60 different playable tracks, whether they are variations or not. But what is a variation to polyphony digital? Lets look at suzuka in GT4, there were 3 variations, but were 3 different tracks. On GT5p when you look at suzuka, it has suzuka as one track and when you press down you get another variation. So essentially they've compressed the variations in GT5.
BASICALLY
In GT5 Suzuka + its variation & Fuji + its variation, equals 2 tracks.
In GT4 it would eqaul 4 tracks.

That is the most interesting point of the interview for me. I hope its not too similiar to the PSP version, based on what I have read about that version(challenge based races). I certainly hope Career Mode doesn't change too much.

Assuming that the leaked info wasn't pulled because:
a) It was worded incorrectly and gave a wrong meaning
b) Is supposed to go with an announcement that explains something we don't know that will make it make sense
c) It wasn't just marketing tactics to get people hyped and crazed and then go "Look we have 80 tracks, not 20 like you thought!" and everyone goes
and buys their game.

he will speak about new brands car not now but further, i suppose tgs...

I REALLY don't like this bit - seeing as I recall GTM doesn't have Gran Turismo mode

NASCARs, let's face it, don't have the detail that other cars have. And what detail they do have is painted on (think textured on).
They COULD lower the poly count for the nascar models, which would enable more car in a race...

Don't facepalm me dude - I'm not one of those people who dramatises everything to make out that GT5 is going to be a million times worse than any other GT - I'm going by what has been said in the interview.
I am optomistic that GT5 will be the awesomness - and note the use of the word "like". I didn't go "waaaa - GT5 isn't going to be the same without GT mode waaa".
Incorrect and uncalled for facepalmage 👎.

And I do understand your question anyway. It's just annoying to try and read it in caps.
I doubt anybody knows what happened to IGN's second part of their article considering.... IGN isn't talking about it and hasn't released it.
So unless you happen across an IGN staff member on GTP you probably won't get an answer to your question. And it's completely off-topic anyway.
