I feel you guys get way too excited every time an update happens. I hardly have any disappointment when it turns out nothing is in it, especially when an exact date is not given for said content.

PD promised us something this month and it's not over yet. Just don't put all your money on maintenance. Also, doesn't new GT content always get announced on the official PS Blog a few days in advance of its arrival? Ideally, they inform us today or tomorrow and give us something before March arrives. If not, then I will be disappointed.

It's been four weeks since the last update. If it was done, they'd have pushed it live by now.

Don't get your hopes up for them doing in three days what they couldn't manage in four weeks.

You're clearly happy with the base game. Some people are not.

Are some people seriously never going to buy another GT game again just because an update wasn't released on time? Are we just going to forget the years of support GT5 got and the free content being given out for GT6? Sure I agree that this is annoying and communication is a serious issue, other than online only games, I can't think of any other game that got as much support as GT5 did. (Especially on consoles)

I just find it strange that some people are never going to play a GT game again just because a February update isn't here yet despite still being in February?

PD have made a lemon, let's be honest, a real turd of a game. I paid £60 for the top version and have had literally about 5 minutes of enjoyment, compare that to GTA V which I paid the same amount for and have enjoyed far more, apart from when the hackers were ruining it.

If I were PD, I would call it quits on the GT series. First impressions count for a lot, most people's first impressions of this game are not good and those people will certainly not bother with GT7. As @atiger said, nothing lasts forever.

If you were hoping for anything other than another round of pointless super laps, prepare for the inevitable.

I remember a time when GT5 DLC was promised to be released on a consistent basis, it never was and when there was new content added it was pretty lame. Their support for the game amounted to rehashing old seasonal events, with PD it's always when they feel like it and never when it is needed.

It's probably the same people that were saying the same things after GT5 released.

I'm just not all that bothered so when an update comes along, I don't find myself scrambling to see if this is it or not. Whats wrong with that? I'm not saying they shouldn't be able to voice their displeasure, its the compulsive need to jump at every single little thing and somehow expecting something big only to be disappointed (even if nothing was ever promised, like these server maintanence periods, which do not necessarily mean an update everytime). Just seems like the very definition of madness.

It makes me so sad to hear everyone talk about their terrible experiences while waiting for the updates, and leaving the GT series. Personally I have had fun online every night since I first purchased GT5P.

GT6 online still needs a lot of work, but GT5's online wasn't much better at launch.

PSN friends are the key to a good online experience. If you have lots of friends that like to race the way you do, it will always be easy to start the game and join a room with a friend.

Hopefully shuffle races and better lobby information will return soon, but in the mean time I will continue having fun with the GT6 I have.

Nope. I'm not going to buy a GT game at retail again until they can make a finished product. I'm quite happy to continue to buy their product used for cheap.

They don't seem interested in my money, so they won't get it. I'll keep playing their games, but I'll be 6-12 months behind the release schedule, and I'll be advertising anything but GT to my friends who like racing games.

You know what they say about customer service. Give good service and the customer will tell one friend. Give bad service and they'll tell ten. Service, especially following through after delivering a self-admitted incomplete product, is important.

What's unfinished about Gran Turismo 6?

Yeah. I know my game has all of the promised features listed on the official website. O_0

No. Wait. No it doesn't.

(But since that post smells of bait of some kind.........<runs screaming out of thread in an overly hysterical fashion like the really annoying kid from "Home Alone".>)

Surely you cant be serious ?

GT5 I can see as an incomplete game, but why GT6?

Sounds like quite a lot of game releases then where promised content isn't in the full game, but not living up to releasing specific promises doesn't make a game any less complete.

Except you're in a warm home with TV, internet and some food to occupy you and not camping outside an apple store (or a Best buy) in wet & cold weather so I think you are far from being those people ;)

lol I was referring to myself as the bewildered passerby not one of the crazy ones in line

Can you list all the other racing games that have more content than GT6?

Forza's career mode and online mode content wise is a lot more fleshed out that GT6.

You can call 1200 cars and 35 odd tracks content if you like, but it goes a little further than that.

Would you swap 20 tracks and 500 cars for a livery editor and a few more races?

Very true.

but not living up to releasing specific promises doesn't make a game less complete.

Except for the part where you can't use advertised features.

But yeah, matter of perspective. You have yours, and I have mine. Neither one of us are likely to change the other's mind, (something I rarely attempt to do anyway on this forum), so excuse me while I go back to watching the show for now. ;)

But shouldn't we judge how complete a game is on it's own merit as apposed to what was promised? Otherwise lots of games would fit under the incomplete category.

It's more than just that, you'd swap it for good engine sounds, a better implementation of features in general and better offline/online racing too.

And FM isn't the only racing game that does a better job than GT regarding all those gameplay aspects.
