Is the entire forum gonna go into rage mode every Tuesday? It would be less troublesome to switch to another racing franchise like Forza than to do this.

Forza can go sulk in the corner no one cares about Forza here this is about GT6 update I ain't playing Forza because pd screwed up my favourite game franchise ... That's like go support man utd because my home town cardiff ain't doing so well and are bottom of the league .... Take your Forza comments to Forza forum

You're welcome.

This were my two comments:

@yosp Shu, please help the GT fans. We need a more open and communicate position from PD. Kaz needs to step up the game and his promises.

@yosp We are pretty active on #GTPlanet, we might be one of the most hardcore users you could have, please listen to us. GT needs to improve.

Oh yeah, that'll work. No matter how emotional you are, try to keep it classy, eh? "Kaz needs to step up" is not going to get you the response you want.

It's not about "sucking up", it's about respecting what you're up against; you've basically just told them to do things your way.

You should have just said that you were concerned about a lack of updates, and the uncertainty (good word, makes him think "investors!") from a lack of communication is giving you a sad. :sly:

I am really frustrated with this generation (PS3 and now the new generation (PS4). The attitude is release it and fix it later. I mean it is the same with almost every bit of tech that comes with software. We are all Alpha and Beta testers and have been for the past 7 years. Even my Sony W6 series TV is the same, buggy, with the YouTube app working only 10% of the time despite numerous firmware updates.

We got a Beta GT5 and now the same with GT6. It is great that we will get more features and the game will improve, but this business model that all game/software devs have is not sustainable, consumers are growing tired.

Anyway, as a sucker that I am I will wait patiently and take any updates that come.

I sure like testing Assetto Corsa!

I am a die hard Granturismo fan but this is just unacceptable, we have had ZERO communication from PD as to what is going on. The way they are handling this seems very unprofessional. I could care less if the update came in march but why don't they at least tell us that it has been delayed so we are not left wondering what is going on. I'm to the point of leaving the franchise if project cars ends up being better.

I don't understand why that's such a profound thing to do. These aren't football teams, they're games. If you find something better (for your tastes), damn well take advantage of it!

Gran Turismo and Forza are video games, not sports teams, and if the Gran Turismo games aren't doing the job and are lacking, then what's wrong with switching to another racing series that will satisfy you? I didn't even imply in my last post that Forza is better than Gran Turismo. My point was that people have other options besides complaining about no updates every Tuesday.

?

Griffith, I'm one of your "supporters" you can say, I've always loved how you give your thoughts on different subjects (primarily sounds), but just to let you know, I'm not trying to "suck" anything to anyone, that was me, my posture, my way to say things, like or not.

I've been a follower of the guy for years, and I've had responses from many different sectors from Sony (music, electronics, professional photography).
I'm not saying that I'll get an answer and I'm not saying that I know more things than anyone, but almost everytime I've asked about any little thing, I've had an answer, so yeah, I gave it a try.
Calm down man, the sarcasm isn't helping you.

I geause it is more simple when you put it that way.

I tell you what's wrong with your comparison ... I paid for this and I want value for money I am not buying a new console and another game because I can't get the bugs fixed in the software I bought, fact is pd has a duty to fix a 3 month old product.. Period

The hype is not generated by the community. It's on their own OFICIAL website. Three months since the release (give or take) and half the features are still not delivered. This is called false advertising.
Their website says a update will be released monday night/tuesday morning?

File a lawsuit or something if it truly bothers you.

This we were advertised to get many features that are currently missing on day 1.Even with the update that we are supposed to get in February, they delay it to the very end of the month or most likely march. My point is that they haven't delivered on so many promises but the act like it is no big deal. When I purchased this game I was fine with all of the missing features, but after 3 months and still no course maker or community features it just seems like I got lied to by a big cooperation.

Why should people switch to one game to the next just because of what happened? If you want to do that, go ahead, but don't tell others to.

You're welcome.

Good comments, hope he reads them. 👍

I have a feeling this @Shirrako kid is messing with us.

Actually they never promised any of that for Day 1, it was in the "future updates" section of their website before release of the game.

1 Man, makes GT games for 15 years, while 15 million fans are left wondering and bickering and waiting and asking and complaining and playing and venting and and and...

15 million fans can't get together where we have the infrastructure in place with a global connected world to recreate a game that 1 man made.

OH when will the internet be ever put to good use, whehehenn?!?

when I retire, I am thinking of creating my own sim dev studio in Montreal, and will have support from many branches to realize it. all I need are people with passion and drive-(pun intended) to realize it, but, big but,

; the problem is this, and its the same problem PD and Sony are facing:

the licensing to get things done right in this type of game, are well, 'priceless',

when GT7 comes out, and the car sounds are still those of glorified Dyson Ball Devils, will YOU (and me) finally realize that it's not Kaz' fault?

good things come to those who wait, (though you don't have to wait for that one same thing for the good thing to happen)

I can assure you that Kaz did not make any of the GT games by himself.

This would make a good movie.

I always wondered though why PD has no official forums to discuss things with the community?! Or a PD employee on GTPlanet since they even took Jordan to the KAZ documentary.
Most developers have forums to communicate with their fanbase, wether it's Fifa, Battlefield, Forza, Test Drive back in the days, and many more. But one of the biggest franchises fails to have any communication with their audience. I just would like to know WHY?!

It's more than just that, you'd swap it for good engine sounds, a better implementation of features in general and better offline/online racing too.

And FM isn't the only racing game that does a better job than GT regarding all those gameplay aspects.

Yep in the case of FM5 it is more than that, You would have to give up more than 500 cars [closer to 1000] and more than 20 tracks and buy a new wheel while you are at it not to mention a new $500 console.

Yes you get better engine sounds, more online features including a full leaderboard. Offline racing? GT is already better there IMO. There are no hard races in Forza even for a beginer. You can set the AI to easy, enable auto brake and use rewind as often as you like as well as turn off damage, fuel usage and tire wire in any/all the races. I actually enjoyed GT mode in GT6 where as in FM 3 and 4 I did not find it even a tiny bit enjoyable.

What other games? There really is not any other game that compares to GT and FM right now. Shift and Grid are not even close.

This is so true and if we did we smash everything out into space , thing is this is for a console and what your suggesting is a home brew game , that would need a modified console and that opens up a dark area to talk about.. Now if we got a dev account and license to publish to ps3/4 then it is very doable .. I think granturismo fans are some of the most intelligent ambitious gamers out there. There are simple things we spot that are easy to do and would expand gt6 to a more usable game. Example the tune sheets why do they default to a default setting when you pick another tune sheet.

But yeah we as a community could build a excellent game and pass gran turismo easily and within a year but we do not have the funding to make it a reality sad but true.

Kick starter anyone?

Because since about 2008, I'd say give or take a couple of years, the videogame industry has been seized, hijacked, by the corporate capitalistic sharks. The innocent audience have since been left in the cold, on a need to know basis, and even that 'need to know' has been replaced by monetization in the form of microtransactions.

The videogame industry this decade is worth more than (ALL forms of entertainment combined), then multiplied by 10. Trillions. it is being dictated from the top, and all voices are now silenced. There is also no profit in making functional long lasting games any longer. The sequels to all AAA property games have all been blatantly dumbed down, on purpose. newborn gamers may not necessarily see this, but it is a diehard beotchslap in the face to anyone who gamed since the classic coinops of yesteryear.

Welcome to today. What will YOU do do make things different?

No we are not beta testers fact..... Look at post 246

I checked post 246?

Software in the 90's weren't free from bugs and glitches. And I bet software in the 80's weren't either.

I lived in the 80s and 90s and used many of the tech/software of that day. Yes all to a degree had bugs but games were literally finished and released/sold. They were complete products. Testing had to be vigorous as devs never had the luxury of patches like they do now.

The prospect of being able to update and add content to a game after release is fantastic, but developers are using it in many cases for the wrong reasons. It works well for them of course, but the consumer is left to often with frustration after frustration. I mean this is how the industry is. If we say no it will change, much like DRM for the Xbone, we kicked up and they backtracked. If consumers accept this as the norm then it will always be like this.

In 2 years time GT6 in the eye of the fans will likely be in a finished state. Then GT7 will release on PS4, probably with less cars, less tracks, features and content then both GT6 and GT5. And we will start the process all over again :-)

Oh, okay. Misunderstood. :P Although they may go to crazy pCARS instead.

Also. @Shirrako, you need to explain yourself. ;)
An inside source from PD told me the update would come out the 25th.

Still a long way to go before it's the 26th.
PD trolled or they are having trouble adding a new track or something.

I'll update everyone once i have new information.
