You guys are hilarious on here. I been reading this thread ever since it open but just didn't comment on it until now.

Anyway my prediction for the patch is going to be:

A VGT car
That new track they showed a month ago.
Some bug fixes
And maybe B spec mode.

I don't think we are to get the community features until maybe in April. That's just my opinion.

But it sounds realistic right?

expected Update delay=pitchforks

I'm starting to see why people are fed up with "whiners" and why all the complaining parties are thrown into the "whiner" category.
Flippity floppity. No conviction.

I am content with the update from Jordan (thank you!!) but I am still not happy with PD's actions (specifically the lack thereof). The main thing I am looking for from PD is a little communication. If you're going to miss a deadline, tell us and maybe even give us a general reason for the delay. It's not a big deal - it is literally that simple. We shouldn't have to pull teeth to figure this stuff out.

I am expecting far more in the next update than just another VGT car. At first I was excited by the VGT thing, but now I realize it does nothing for me. I'll drive the car once in the seasonal, park it, and then go back to real cars that I actually care about.

My priorities are as follows:
1. Bug fixes. I want a game that works. It seems "kind of" important to me that the thing works before we start adding other things. For example, it is outrageous that the pit stop bug has not been fixed yet. And there are other glaring bugs still hanging around.

2. The features promised from before release. I don't expect these all at once but I thought we would start seeing them added perhaps once a month starting in January. At the very least I want an update once in a while specifically about what is going on with the features I paid for.

3. Tracks. I'm happy (enough) with the car list, but would love to see more real-world tracks (*cough* Watkins Glen and Road America). Enough said.

Fantasy cars are not a valid replacement for any of the above.

I think it was taken out completely. The cars that used to have mods, are actually purchasable now in the dealership. :)
It was supposed to be part of GT AUTO. They only recently edited the image to cover the words.

My guess/hope is for the BMW VGT (not because of what Jordan said, I just want it :D), and Zahara, the new track.

The thing with B-Spec, is they need to implement races for you to use it in, which logically will be full on endurance races - or an entirely new bunch of championshoips. I don't think PD will give us all that in one go. I also don't think they'll give us B-spec until the uptake on Micro-transactions tails of... it's too easy to grind with B-spec.

Those quotes are all mine, and they're all correct; they don't come from Kazunori, but from the SCEA and PD representatives I spoke with when I hosted the round-table discussion on PlayStation's Twitch channel. Of course, plans must have clearly changed since that time.

.

Can we just stay away from the marketing people, please? :banghead:

Like 100-meters minimum.

If Zahara is just a track derived from the Ronda coursemaker, not yet in the game, is it really a new track?

Here is one of Jordan's updates
Here is another

As you can see, there is nothing specific so don't be banking on anything.

You guys can stop raging about no update in February. @Jordan already said it'll come within 7 days with the BMW VGT
Do you have a link for that?

There was an update from Jordan?
I missed this could you repost please sir?

Thanks:bowdown:

We will be getting something within 7 days. Big car companies love Making the trip to snowy cities in Winter.

If it's any consolation, I have spoken with SCEA and the update is coming, but exactly when that will be remains a mystery.

So they are witholding an update that could possibly bring bug fixes and updates GT6 SERIOUSLY needs because they are waiting for Geneva, which presumably means that it's going to come with another (or a few) VGT cars...

We don't 🤬 need VGT cars. We need game updates, bug fixes, and online stability fixes. This is BS from PD IMO. Release the patches to fix the broken **** when it's ready. We paid full price for this BETA they call GT6, PD promised features that are yet to be seen 3 FULL MONTHS after release and they're holding off for VGT cars that can be released seperately?!

If the major things that need to be addressed are not taken care of and all we get is a few fake cars and a fake track, SCEA is going to be getting a phone call and I'm going to be getting my money back. Tired of the BS runaround from PD.

So true, and this is happening in a lot of games...A LOT. On PC this is an actual nightmare with all the "Early access" from Steam, Kickstarters going on, pre-alpha and beta games.
At least on PC you pay less for them and then get the whole product...though you need to wait of course.

Here on consoles they charge you a full price and then you never know if you are going to get the full package...or even what the "full package" actually is.

Horrible practice by a lot of developers and publishers. And WE pay for this...our fault too.

If GT6 already pushes PS3's to the limit, updates would only burden it further. It seems GT6 may be cooked.

New cars, tracks, play modes (B-Spec) or other standalone programs (Course Creator) will in no way affect the load upon the processor or RAM of the PS3... Disk space, maybe, but that's nowhere as limited on most people's system to be much of a concern.

I personally think that the biggest thing PD/Sony could do is to have one seasonal every 3.5 days-Tuesday evening and Saturday morning.

That would give EVERYONE something to do other than wait for waiting's sake.... ;)
