Did 1.05 come out yet?
If it did there'd be a gif and 5 pages of people typing in allcaps so no, not yet.
This is probably the most accurate post on this entire thread.
There's half a page of chat crap, right there. I'm going to start handing out warnings for breathing too loud soon.4 pages of crap. 3/4 of a page complaining about the crap. 1/4 of a page moderators telling everyone to cut the crap.

I really do not feel like skimming 55 pages of posts, so Where did we get promised a February update? I guess I'd like to read it myself before I make to much of a comment.
Couple of quick things I would hope to be included in the next update:
1) More Events, not TT's, proper events to race against other cars.
2) Add the Performance Difference Adjustment Bonus to the A-Spec mode, would make it so much more interesting.
Not going to complain today, those couple of things would make the game much more playable to me. I'm fed up with grinding the Red Bull event as it doesn't count your stats right, plus am really bored of that anyway.
Just skim the news page instead - you'll find the answer much quicker there.
thats why there is 2. , by having the Performance Difference Adjustment you'll get more credits + its more challenging & fun so that bad AI would be competitive thanks to their better carsJ
I agree with you on both these points, but most people will still complain about 1 because the bad excuse for AI.

But I guess people will still complain.
That being the case, there is nothing stopping them from communicating this to their fan-base. They don't communicate, however. Our reward for allegiance is silence, which is interpreted, rightly or wrongly, as a form of contempt.Thx.
I'm going to give PD the benefit of the doubt here. maybe there is something that is keeping us from getting the update, like a major bug that would cause your PS3 to blow up. I'm going to wait and see what they are bringing to the party before I bring out the hammer and the nails.

No it wasn't vague, it was bright and loud and quite specific in its bold statements about monthly updates and feature rich temptations. If they had been specific about its developmental state, I would've waited. I have a small amount of faith left at this point that they will redress the balance but that faith is based on past endeavours and I can't help but worry that this current impasse could indicate bigger problems. You bought the game as it was sold, not on some vague promise.
True, but even with the AI problem GT5 managed to have some pretty great Seasonal Event races in it's time, not often but some.

I don't see it as such gloom, from what I can tell Kaz did a 'molyneux' and promised a bunch of stuff for his game before it was even close to finished, which was compounded by the fact that Sony wanted it out really quickly (for a GT game). No it wasn't vaque, it was bright and loud and quite specific in its bold statements about monthly updates and feature rich temptations. 1st January for RB events wasn't a mistake imho. Now the February track wasn't released in February. Also Kaz said course creator was almost ready. Everything seems to be slipping - maybe some programming walls ? Does that even happen ?
I'm not gloom-mongering, I'm concerned. Justifiable concern given the time-frame and the low sales of GT6 thus far.I don't see it as such gloom, from what I can tell Kaz did a 'molyneux' and promised a bunch of stuff for his game before it was even close to finished, which was compounded by the fact that Sony wanted it out really quickly (for a GT game).
In all honesty, yes. Aside from that being my general expectation when it comes to GT release dates , GT5 was also 'in a good place' and all the GT6 release did was create false hope and thus damaged the series' reputation more than the GT5 release did. I fear for how strong that reputation will be in the coming months as they hopefully develop GT6 to its full potential and even more so for what will happen when we switch to the PS4.Would you rather have been forced to wait until the game was finished instead of being released as it was?
Yeah tbh I have a feeling that gt6 only exists because of Sony mandating they put out another game using the gt5 engine they paid for on the ps3.Yeah there's no doubt that if Kaz got his way we'd be playing GT6 in 2015. I have no doubt in my mind that Sony were the ones who pushed for the Dec '13 release.
Time is not the problem, they had 5 years to get gt5 right and still couldn't.Yeah there's no doubt that if Kaz got his way we'd be playing GT6 in 2015. I have no doubt in my mind that Sony were the ones who pushed for the Dec '13 release.

I don't know about that, I think that if Sony marketing got behind a proper next gen GT game it would do just fine. That is my biggest fear. For a long time there was only GT at the forefront of the racing game genre, then Forza came along on the Xbox. Now that the PS4 is here with games like Project Cars on the horizon which I heard will be dual platform, Gran Turismo will struggle to compete on their own console. If it means we see both T10 and PD stepping up with FM5 (6) and GT7 then that can only be a good thing for all gamers.
Let´s put everything in context, a game sold for 60 whatever currency at launch day.
One can argue if the game on its current form worths 60, once said this I have driven more than 10.000 km so far (I wish I had more time to play though). That means quite a lot of hours, so is it 60 well spent? so far yes, for example I paid 15 for Last of us DLC, a very short DLC which in contrast adds to the story and is great value. So money alone the game could pass the exam.
BUT and there are a big number of "buts", the game was announced whith a lot of features still not present today, too many bugs for online racing, huge and frustrating connection issues which could well be a game breaker for many and moreover the absolutely lack of any sort of communication from Poliphony Digital or Sony about future updates or bug fixes makes the customer to feel very upset as I am right now.
Problem is that the game is sold right now for almost half price from launch day, so what happened for those like me who paid full price and still are waiting for that complete game?
This is I think where the problem is, the lack of confidence I have right now for Gran Turismo franchise and it makes me really sad. Apart from that it is just a game so I will not make any drama out of this.
Just sharing my thoughts.
