First you say your thread on the official Sony forums was closed, and then you somehow attribute this to PD's supposed yes-man culture, which presumably you made up. A Sony employee closed your thread, not PD, and they'll have done it because it contravenes whatever standards they have, not because you dare criticise a game.

Seeing that second thread of yours, it's not hard to see why it might be closed also. You come across as defiant, which isn't great as first impressions go. Then you don't even say what the issue is, aside from "lack of communication" (pretty ironic) and then direct traffic to some other website. So yeah, spam.

You say you're a human being, you should remember that the people you're wanting to communicate with are also human beings, despite the big bad corporate badge.
Weeeelllll..... Isn't PD owned by Sony? So, the ideas shared by Sony correspond with PD?

I see your point and my ironic technicalities... It was just an attempt to get it more widespread, however I don't intend to trash anyone by defiance or any other sort of ambiguities..

I'm going to point this out one more time... after that, you only have yourselves to blame...

Jordan said he has had confirmation from SCEA that the update is coming but there is no time-frame attached to that.

He has also been informed that the new VGT content will be available within 7 days.

These two events are not related.
Would it not make sense to release the new track alongside the vgt content though? Two new seasonals. One for the car. The other for the track with a random car.
It just seems like what they would want to do. Seeing as the update is needed badly.

If you say it wont happen like that i guess i have to just take your word for it. Until noted otherwise

Still, a missed 'deadline', "coming in February", is a missed deadline. PD's credibility will only keep going down the longer they remain silent.

Frankly, I don't care about the BMW VGT, all I want at the moment is Zahara (new content) & bug fixes (self-explanatory). A premium JZA80 would be nice, but we all know PD can't produce standard-to-premium conversions fast enough. GT5 only saw 1 worthy conversion in my memory, the Jaguar XJR-9, even though they 'claimed' to do more.

Just like they 'claimed' we'd see results in February. ;)

But hey, 4 hours and 11 minutes are left (as of this post), technically.

If PD delivers all expected content in a high-enough quality, I'll eat a hat or something :sly:

It's almost 11:00am Saturday morning in Japan right now. You think PD runs a weekend crew? Maybe a couple staffers sucking up that OT?

Pretty confident hope is lost for February.

It's OK, we can live without it. It's the shortest month after all. We will mourn its passing anyway, because we should be seen to be doing the right thing, and that.

Having poked around the threads a bit, no. That's not how it works. Your thread was probably actually closed by a volunteer, like the mods here are.

The forums have a community manager, but this person is based in the US (and I've said a million times SCEA are a law unto themselves, for better or worse). PD do not actively monitor those forums, they do it via proxies. Probably in part because of the language issue, also because English isn't the only other language in the world. The members there claim to work hard to maintain a channel of feedback, such as they can.

There is no guarantee that anything you say on those forums will reach PD directly. Sony on the other hand, well there is that community manager...

Oooohhhh..... Did not think about that it was a US specific thread... I just got so caught up about the GTP forum being all English..

There is a thread over there called "where's the love?" That is similar to this one but more consistent and toned down...

The posts are right on the mark...

It would make sense to release the February update in February.

I wouldn't use sense as a predictor for anything to do with this update. It will be done when it's done, and we have no idea when that might be. It might be in a week, it might be in a year.

I find something odd though.
Even with all this delayed content. And me gettig my hopes up all week long. I cant stop playing the game. I have other games i want to play but cant for some reason...

Anyone else?

Im watching V8 Supercars and I want to stop playing the game until we get the race cars. But, I can't leave the controller alone.

By the way, this thread needs to change title now.

I reckon get in early and change it to "It's almost April, where is our promised community update?"

Saves typing changing it again halfway through the month. :D

Quantum physics are used to describe motion of things on the smallest scale. Even assuming the length of a quantum leap is a billion times the Planck length, I'm surprised any of you are expecting any progress at all...
