We should at least try to fill up the teams first, instead of having 4 Lotus and 1 Target Chip Ganassi. :scared:

Indeed. Of course, that is the aim. However, the current scenario is there will be 1 Lotus in the UK series.

As I said, don't worry. If someone else with a Lotus wants to sign up for the UK, that's absolutely fine 👍

I have to admit this was my initial reaction. It is nice to have a mixed grid. We'll just see how things pan out with people signing up :)

EDIT: And is the White/Green FGT super rare or is it just that nobody wants to team up with me? *Sobs dramatically*

Haha lol. I seriously was thinking about the White/Green FGT because that was the only one I had when I posted my entry but that car was a gift from a friend so I wanted to own one and the cry from Lotus was too great and fortunately found a minted one in the OCD. Don't worry Tom, in time...

Secondly, I also feel that I miss a race or two due to workload in Sixth Form for me but this case is highly unlikely. I'm off to do some work now lol.

Oh, ok, and I have my Tony Kanaan look-alike suit! :D and because of Spec 2.0 we will be able to save multiple setups for our cars, so switching to different track specs shouldn't be much of a problem :D

Such a blessing this new update for our set-ups. I hope we can name these set-ups and easily scan through them.

I now have both the Red (although the colour in the lobby looks more like yellow) and Green/Yellow. Which one can i use?

Either mate, I'm sure Chqr would love a team mate though

EDIT: And sorry for telling you to buy the Red one too, LV came up with the idea this afternoon.

It ok i was going to buy it for a one off, once in a life-time, one of a kind, race event of the century that i am planning. One car to get and i can post the race to the forum.....OOOh the suspense...

IndyCar Press Release GTP_J_Turner has signed with Lotus Racing as the team mate to fellow Brit and 'Prospective IndyCar legend' Chqr. Team HVM Racing has already complained about the fairness of the constructors championship this season, at present Lotus has 4 drivers and HVM only one.....which will be a slight advantage in the points standings ;)

EDIT: Can't wait to see what you're planning haha :P

Woo. Loving the Press Release. PS: My signature is all talk, don't think I'll be winning races annny time soon

Oh I see you've changed it already, that title could easily be applied to myself :P

EDIT: And me too, I might make it a regular thing. It's surprisingly fun to write haha.

Wont be "loving the press release" when you discover your team has just signed a lemon.

Haha. I guess you're Takuma then :) I'm trying to big myself up to get the real FGT dons to start to pee their pants and any driver will do.

Tomorrow night for me is going to consist of sorting out my setups sheets for each track, this stuff is gonna tide me over to the DLC 👍

Indeed though im not looking forward to the setup work I need to do.
I had already finished 2 tracks(4 hours) before the spec 2 announcement.
Fingers crossed they don't change the physics a ton

Still haven't sorted them yet, will have to ask Joe to get on it when he has some time.

Right now I'm planning to do a load of laps in the seasonal event that gives the most credits (504k credits for 1 lap at Le Mans in a Ferrari) so I can finish up the OCD in case it refreshes with the update and then have some credits to buy the cars coming in the update. It should only take me about 5 minutes to work out the transmission settings once I get on there though, I might do it in a minute.

EDIT: Assuming you only want transmission settings and nothing else.

I would've thought it'd be simple enough for someone else to do, but whatever, I'm loading up GT5 right now to do it.

Yep good idea, took me a few hours to grind for the OCD cars, worth it though. Just post them up when you can mate, they won't be on the OP till tomorrow night though as i'm on android till then and it's too fiddly :tup

While I'm in my lounge, are there any other US series tracks that need their transmission settings worked out?

EDIT: Since you're still viewing this thread, GTP_J_Turner, hang around for about 5-10 minutes and I'll have the settings posted here.

EDIT2: Are the US road course specs the same as the UK ones (BHP and KG)? Will need to know before I do this.

Yes they are, they were the only specs LV specified, same BHP and Weight. I think all the US tracks that aren't on the UK schedule need doing, so that's Madrid and Suzuka.

For Madrid, the fastest I can get with a full tank is 184mph (without outbraking myself in the 2 heavy braking zones), and I'm guessing 185-186mph on a near empty tank. This should limit the top speed to 189-190mph: reset to default, set max speed at the bottom right to 193mph, then put final gear at 4.295, 7th should be at 1.655 .

Suzuka: Reset to default, set max speed at the bottom right to 199mph, put final gear at 4.270, and 7th should be at 1.603 . If I was able to take 130r flat out without running wide off the track (which I'm pretty sure can be done with a different setup to mine), I'd change the drafting limit. If you hit more than 191mph at all (without going off) at Suzuka running solo, let me know and I'll adjust the settings.

Nice one Joe, they'll be added to the OP ASAP. Great work mate with all of the setups 👍

Tokyo Practice Time: Comfort Hards - 1:30.039
Probably need to get down to about 1:20.xxx i think. But hey, time to practice. I like what the de-tune has done to the handling of the FGT. Much more manageable and R246 flows really well.

I was getting 1:22's on r246 reverse but i was murdering my tyres at the first braking zone and they were basically quali laps

Just to be clear about Tokyo, it's reverse in the UK series and forward in the US series. (unless it changed)
