The new settings sheet is very useful. You can save up to 3 setups (and name them), so I have every setup for this series saved for my FGT, apart from Laguna Seca, which just needs the transmission to be adjusted from my road course setup.

EDIT: Yep, I hope you're all ready to do some more testing. "you can now change slipstream strength in the lounge" and "Adjusted the driving speed of Formula cars in banks, and auto-drive when coming onto straights".

Potential good news for me too: "fixed an issue where there was a server connection problem in certain network environments"

The old slipstream setting is "strong", with "weak" apparently being much more realistic.

Anyone up for slipstream testing at Daytona and Indy tomorrow? (I'll probably be free from about 8:30pm, though I may be earlier or later.)

EDIT: Hey Knelly, if you also plan on getting the DLC, shall we change our outfit+helmet so that we're both the Stig? :sly:

My Opinion, now we have Spec II, we will need to retest the transmissions due to realistic drafting etc.

Yep, however disappointed I am with DLC, I will be getting it all, so We are Stig.

'Some say, that although they look like brothers the relationship is only on Track, and .... although Stig 1's favourite food is Cheese, Stig 2 prefers to eat Rotten Fruit' .... Sorry, random I know. :ouch:

I am pretty disappointed with the DLC too, the cars are pretty average but they have redeemed themselves by putting Spa in the pack :D Lets hope there's more to come. I was running around 1:23/4 at R246 Reverse, gonna do my setups now 👍

EDIT: For me this alone warrants the purchase of the Race Car Pack

I have a Tony Kanaan look alike suit! :sly:

And and Joe, can you see the steering wheel for the FGT?

Slightly late reply, but yes.

To me, cornering now seems a little bit easier. e.g I could take a corner at Tokyo faster than before, and it's easier to not make a mistake coming out of the pits at Indy speedway (without lifting off).

As for setups, I'll still be using the same ones.

Anyone up for slipstream testing tonight? (The post where I said tomorrow was done at 5am after I'd downloaded and checked out spec 2.0, I actually meant today).

It's personal taste I suppose :P But there's no doubt that it looks amazing! The front splitter/bumper makes it look a bit like a NASCAR.

I am Joe, about to do some NASCAR to see what it's like in my new 2011 #18 then will be around. Need to get food though at some point.

Just send me a message when you're ready and I'll jump in my lounge. I've not bought any of the new NASCAR stock cars yet, only the Schulze Nissan. If I'd known that prizes would return to normal with this update, I would've done some more credit grinding last night. I only grinded enough to buy the rest of the OCD .

Going to order and eat pizza whilst watching some more bathurst (just about to start raining) then will holla. Your place or mine ;)

Btw. NASCAR at Daytona with weak slipstream ...... 👍

Somebody will have to learn a new place to back off, but will only work against one car. Doubt you slingshot two pushing. ;)

Joe open a public lobby? Or maybe our incompatibility is fixed. :P

Public lobbies won't be any better than private ones for incompatability. :indiff: Try joining my lounge when it's up though. Shall I open it now you two?

Sorry mate but had to leave as bedtime, sorry I didn't get to run with you but I'm sure we will.

Good test with Joe though on the two speedways. We will definately use Weak Slipstream, using exactly the same transmissions, which seams to be perfect. Especially on Indy, even in the draft, it's so hard to put a complete pass in. These are both going to be fun and strategic races for sure.

Yeah, if weak slipstream was even weaker (maybe about half what it currently is), we wouldn't have to have the speed restrictions.

The new standard in car cockpit has just brought this car alive for me. Has been so much fun doing the seasonal. Good luck with the series fellas!

Can't you join mate?

Liked the cockpit view more at Daytona than Indy after trying it out last night.
