If you're on day 45, something screwed up.. I say restart.

actually vicx i beat slasher in half an hour..i say just get a 85 leave the engine stock, race a few of those 120000 cp catagory races buy lvl 2 suspension and tranny and buy lvl 3 tires, ..they made all the difference in the world... and you can pretty much beat every person on hakone.. like touge runner said just be on the look out for a post on the bbs with an "!" in the box next to it..select "yes" and slasher should be in the parking lot that night.

btw anyone else have the kaido battle song track? i bought it and the game as a package deal.. i was REALLY dissappointed when i saw that there was only 4 tracks on it!

I beat the slasher before I beat the 350Z.
I dunno what's happened on your end Vicx. I started a game fresh, with an 85, raced all the events I could during the day, and all the opponents at night I felt I could beat. Read ALL the BBS and Email posts at the beginning of each day. The slasher showed up for me on like Day 8.
And it's not that the opponents after Hakone are easier, it's just I made quite an upgrade from an AE85 that had probably 135hp, to a Silvia S13 breaking 300hp. Against my 85, they'd be dead even races, but with the Silvia, I've just managed to get one leg up on the current opponents.
Now I race all the events I can, on all 3 areas open to me (Hakone, Haruna, and Akagi) during the day, then at night, I check all the parking lots for any rivals that aren't white, and when I'm done with them, I go back and pick on any white rivals I haven't beaten for extra cash.
I got a funny email the other day. You know how lovers will send you a picture of their car? I got an email with a picture of 4 cars attached to it. Maybe a whole team loves me?

Well.. I'm still at Aso.. beat the MCR in the intro. Level 9 at day competition..and I'm afraid that those are pretty tough. Cars: RX7, NSX, Pantera GTS.

i have all courses except for Aso available. im at level 7 in the day comps, about halfway through clearing rokko and just barely into zao(gonna have to retune the car for that course) i have a mazda roadster, fc rx7, MkIV supra, RX8, SARD mrs, and fumikobo(i think thats it)STI. my friends also have a couple cars in my game one has a r32 gtst and a crx and the other has a eunos roadster and an mrs. im still stuck on 2nd iroha though because there is one guy i cant beat its a yellow evo III or IV that is a time attack and im about 1/2 second off the time needed to win but i just cant seem to get through it any faster.

i got that one too. its from that one team u beat with the 300zx, rx-7 FC, s15, and some other car. i also got mail that had a pic of a blurry s2000. i've got no clue what that car has to do with anything tho...

once in conquest mode go to garage, then go to connect net or something (i think its the third from the top), then u can go to bbs, mail, and information, and all the new things are ones that appear in red. just read them all and if any options come up select yes, b/c that is to accept the races.

rwd>fwd keep the hachi go. then upgrade to something like a miata(what i did) or a silvia(what most people seem to be doing) when you get past the first level.

I think I am the only one who bought an 86 after the 85.. I love those light cars.

well the miata is still a very light car, almost as light as the 86 but more power and better suspension(well the suspension is better in real life anyways, i dont think it makes a whole lot of difference in the game).

btw, i just did the funniest thing in the game
i was doin the sponser thing where its 2 civics (your ek9 and i think the other one is ep3), and i was losing, so i floored it and hit the guy head on as he was goin into a hairpin. well, i hit him, and somehow my car went underneath his, and the next thing i know his car is on top of mine and i went passed him and won.
i watched the replay after b/c i oculdnt believe what happened, and i laughed my ass off, but im sad b/c u cant save replays.
man, it was the funniest thing ever

Then what does "Replay Save" in the menu mean?
And yeah, I've gotten pretty good at swinging the ass end of my car around and throwing the other guy into the wall... The ones that have the gumption to keep up with me anyway.

Yeah, short battles are funny... I raced a 130HP trueno with a wrx and beat it with a 5.26
(most of the time my battles have been between 15-30 seconds.. unless its a time attack)
