Yeah, 350Z is medalist.. I wish I had a vid of the battle, but in short, he hit the guardrail, then I passed him, and I boxed him out for the rest of the race. Hakone, you only need stage 2.. which is what you have; to do 2:24..

I unlocked FD when I beat Rokko. Maybe it was Zao.. one of those two.

Yeah, Some of them have an icon(left of the subject).. when you open that BBS and press circle, it opens a menu
Finally sat down and got serious with this game last night after restarting Conquest mode several times to get the feel of different cars.
Decided to stick with an AE85. Let me tell you, beating that FTO with an 85 was not easy, but I did it. Kept hoping an 86 would show up in the used cars, but I guess I was wrong.
I'm not real positive about this, but I think for the FTO to show up, you have to have completed the 2 levels of daytime events, and beaten a certain number of nighttime opponents. All I know is, I got a BBS post with an [!] beside it, replied to it, and the FTO was waiting for me that night.
After the FTO, I beat the two sponsor challenges to get a level 3 engine, then swapped all my parts over from my 85 to an S13. Drifting is sooooooo much easier with that extra power under the hood.
Another tip, once you get a sponsor, plaster your car with their stickers. The more you have the more bonus you get when completing an event. For example, one on the windshield nets you 25,000 X the level of the event. A sticker on the side window will get you 8,000 X the level of the event. I put a sticker on the front bumper, windshield, rear window, rear bumper, doors, and side window and my bonus was 45,000 X level of event.
Also, apparently, unless you're using a sponsor's part, they won't pay you a bonus. The "Blowoff" Level 3 engine would not fit in my S13, but the "AutoReinoff" would. I got no bonus for Blowoff stickers, even though I won their event.
For the record, this game is a pain in the you-know-what until you beat that FTO, after that it gets a lot more fun.

Hi everyone, a long time reader, this is my first post though. I have been looking at this game for a while now, and it just looks amazing. I was just wondering if it is worth getting this game if you can't understand japanese at all. And if you can even play without know japanese, is it enjoyable to play without knowing the story? thanks in advance.

I liked it more with the '85.. now you just beat them in like 15 seconds.. no fun.

Similar question.
I'm using a Levin 86 and am currently on Day 43. I've beaten everyone at Hakone except for the 350; in the category races I've completed level 2, but not the Normal Car Cup. There's just no one showing on the pass at night (besides conquests). No word on BBS or Mail. Anyone else having this problem?

hey i finally beat the 350 z....i started a new game beat pretty much every car except the 350 because i knew i would lose..never saw the s2k this time..... then on day 6 i got an bbs post from the FTO (VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU SAY YES!) raced him..blew his doors off...now i have a s13 and seems pretty ez just one question....
how do you put stickers on your car? and how do you equip the lvl 3 engine from sponsor?
i say for anyone whose on like day 40 something check the bbs or just start over again..you can beat slasher in 6 days w/o racing the 350 or s2k

go to your garage go to parts choose sponsor parts
if u have it then equip it ...
