yea it is, stars of tomorrow or FKS goes to Genk and sends a few drivers over to you for a few races each year. been to genk once, nice track but to big for cadets. 1:06/7 lap times and its boring. flat out nearly the whole way round

They send drivers here? For SKUSA?

is that stars of karting (along those lines). my teammate got a trip out there cos he won our nationals over here. he got taken out by a load of them cos he went round the outside of a few at the first corner

george russell......i found out why he's running an intrepid as well! his brother (benjy) is the UK importer for intrepid :D

haha, i think one of them won the first round of stars the other day , so the intrepid is looking mighty fast!

I've did lots of arrive and drive karting in Yas Marina. I improved my time a lot (considering it's the same track) but never considered entering any sort of series. I've really wanted to do some karting ever since I moved to India but I can't seem to find any tracks in Pune. There's some in Mumbai, but that's a 2-ish hour drive from here.

Yeah. India probably doesn't have many many tracks. Force India has really been the main purpose of kart tracks being built there. It's kind of like Canada. There are only 15-20 tracks there, and a lot of the kids I know live at least an hours drive away from the closest track. I met these kids that drive
Three and a half hours to their track.

There's a short track being built in Pune, but it's almost a year away from completion. The Force India competition was actually a pretty interesting concept, I wonder if the winners will do good in Europe.

I couldn't enter the competition unfortunately considering I wasn't living in India at the time. If by area you mean where the first stages of the competition were held, then yes, they're okay. The karts were provided by Force India, from what I saw they looked like KnK karts with a Force India paint job. You really get what you paid for, it's about 150 rupees, which is about £1.8 for a 10 minute go in a kart.

Also, it seems I was mistaken, it's actually 250 for 10 laps.

Edit: Picture now working

No, the Indian Rotax max Karting championship is held at tracks down south, I'm talking about places like Coimbatore and Chennai. To be truthful the south of India has a much better motorsport record than the north/west, both of our Indian F1 drivers came from there.

Here's the track used for the championship (also holds touring car events and the such)

I guess so, on their website they say that out of the 2.3 km track they use 1.1 km for the go-kart track. I think it's the first part of the track. Formula Rolon and Touring cars would obviously use the whole track.

First race of the US Northeast Rotax Max Challenge is this weekend!
Gonna be our main focus for this year.
Hoping for a top-5ish finish. If I can finish top five in every race this season, I'll win the series easily.
Will report how it goes assuming the hotel has WiFi...

i want to go to america to race, see what it's like. My friend (very rich) said it's very clean and hardly any contact...very different to here

Yeah. It is quite different here. Come race my club. The biggest Rotax club in the US (it's still small). We have some of the best Jr Max drivers in the country because we race all year around.

where is it? i am hoping to head over to you in summer, maybe go racing or something. or maybe go in winter, then head to the Rockies for some skiing :D
