If any more of you plan on writing an essay to Kaz, don't. It buries the other questions and he doesn't seem to respond to them.

at least we get some false hope from that article with sounds in gt6
and course maker
and b-spec
"coming imminently"

You guys are pissed cause they're just gonna keep cars.

Really?

You want them to take the Forza approach?

Actually, yes. And I say that as a huge fan of GT's eclectic car list.

It's rediculous to have ps2 era assets in a ps4 game.

Edit: I suppose it doesn't matter for me though, as I won't be getting GT7.

We're "pissed" because they're taking quantity over quality, again. They already have 400+ PS4 quality models and years to work on more. That is more than enough, they don't need 700 PS2 cars as well.

Okay, so if they remodeled all of them into Premium, you'd all bitch that they took time away from other cars.

All they're doing is porting them over, I really don't see how that's a problem.

And by Forza approach, I mean take out half the cars, then charge you 10$ a time to get them back, when they're the same model from before.

Depends which cars the spent time modeling as premium. There are maybe 150-200 cars that need redoing as premium, the rest are either easy 'dupes' or insignificant models that a tiny fraction of the userbase used.

Where did I say I wanted a Forza approach? That isn't necessary with PD having a large library of PS4 quality cars already.

Oh and if you don't see a problem with PS2 assets in a PS4 game I don't know what more I can tell you.

They're just porting the cars over, what the hell is everyone's problem. If they cut the standards, you'd all still complain cause one of your favorites got cut.

And is GT7 here yet? Has anyone seen it? Do you know the standards are still gonna look horrible?

No.

So calm the hell down.

There's a reason why GT2 models weren't added to GT3. There has to be a quality over quantity approach. PD has about 450 premium cars, and they'll have more then 500 by the time GT7 releases. Standards are already obsolete, to keep them for PS4 would be insane.

I have nothing against it. More cars is better in my opinion.

Also, the modeling team will be making new Premium cars and Standard cars will stay for all of us who don't want to lose 800 cars in the process.

It's about consistency, would it be acceptable to have PS2 assets for any PS4 game?. GT6 was bashed in reviews because of it.

It's absolutely ok to dislike inconsistent quality.

They wouldn't be standards if they were up to PS4 quality, would they?

The problem here is that they find the standards (at least those not considered as "semi-premiums") "out of place" for a next-gen game. ;)

Agreed.

Regarding photomode:
"
Gran Turismo actually really reflects my personal interests -- cars, photography, and video/film. So photo mode is something that's very important to me. So obviously I'm not pleased with the current rendition.

And I know how good it was in GT4, but it just so happened that the architecture of the PS3 wasn't really suited for this feature. But in PS4, I'm going to try to make sure that there's a photo mode that can satisfy any connoisseur of photography and you can really look forward to that -- because as a photographer, I'm really not satisfied with what we have yet.
