This is strange, completely out of nowhere.

I'm a moderator on reddit.com/r/granturismo as well and even we were totally taken by surprise by it.

I'm looking in to who put it together. But if it's in /r/iAmA's sidebar, it's totally legit, the mods over there do not mess around.

I'm getting my questions ready! If anyone has any questions about how IAmA's or reddit in general works (btw, the "r" in reddit is not meant to be capitalized) just ask me!

lmao, you really have no idea man. There's a good chance it's going to be a brutal IAmA. Most of reddit are Forza fans and GT has a bad reputation.

But redditors are respectful for people taking the time to IAmA's, so while there will probably be a LOT of bad comments, the beauty of the reddit comment system is that you won't have to see most of any of them since they'll be downvoted to hell.

According to /u/rwert, a guy from Jalopnik which did the follow up, the AMA is actually at 9 am EDT (1 pm GMT/UTC). I will edit the post. :)

btw, let's come up with some good questions! (or we could just copy over the top voted questions from the Kaz Q & A section :D)

I'll throw out a couple I'm interested in:

How did the partnership with the FIA come about, what inspired it and what is its potential for the future of GT and race sims in general.

Are we still going to receive community "Club" features this year or will they come with the FIA racing championship next year?
 
Wardez-> I don't think we should ask for "potentiel" to Kaz... What we need is what, concretly, this will mean for players. New content? New modes? New championships (F1, Nascar, WRC)? Kaz is a master of vague and "visionnesque" answers... let's ask some true, concrete answers don't you think?

I d love to ask if we can expect 60fps for GT6 anytime soon... and why they changed their minds between 1.07 and 1.08 about framerate (it was way better in 1.07...but the smoke effects was sacrificed... and then they changed it back in 1.08).... Framerate is a HUGE issue and disappointment in GT5 and GT6 !

Would you be able to ask this for me please?

The thing is, I'm not expecting anything at all but the FIA championship. That's all I'm looking forward to because that's all that's been announced. To me, that's the be-all and end-all to the partnership between PD and the FIA. If something else comes of it, cool, but I highly doubt it. That's why I'm not putting that twist on the question.

And I already know what the answer to your second question will be: hardward limitations of a console from 2006.

And sorry, but I actually won't be asking any questions in the AMA, I'll be asleep. I'm just trying to get people to think up questions for others to post in the IAmA once it's live.

Tx for answering me. I ll try to ask it myself then. So baffled that framerate is sacrificed for eye candy... that just killed GT for me.
And they upresed the game between GT5 and 6 when GT5 already struggled with its framerate... infuriating choices...
I will ask it to Kaz and, eventually, become the hero of the GTplanet community. :gtpflag:

Seriously, just head over to Q&A section here at GTP, sort questions by votes and copy/paste them one by one.

It will be the most sane and transparent thing to do - with best results in the interest of the overall GT community.

Looking forward reading it, Reddit is a visual and logical mess for my perception (:)), but it is one great resource 👍

Also, Pikes Peak is this weekend, ask him about having Pikes Peak finally included ;)

I just visited the Reddit site for the first time. Goodness, it looks like someone barfed on a computer screen and called it a web page. There's like a thousand things on the homepage alone. It would be neat to see Kaz's responses.

Take off your strawman glasses and you'll see the Kaz Q and A forum is the most positive and constructive thing on GTP. It's actually shocking how well behaved most people are given how long some of the issues with the game have been around. reddit is a free for all...we have no idea how it will turn out but I'd put my money on crapshoot.
 
Well this was unexpected. At least he's communicating to the fans. It will probably be best to copy and paste some questions from the Kaz Q&A forum, and paste them there.
