I don't mind if standards are in GT7 as long as they're updated to PS4 quality and the duplicates are removed. This is never going to happen unfortunately.

Ohhhh nooo whatever will I do without my 53 MX5 variants, this country's going down the tubes and it's all because of those pesky people wanting 21st century models in a 2014 game
I think you know what I mean:rolleyes:

There are plenty of standard cars that I don't want removed.

Would i be right in saying that The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the best car show in the world?
  • [–]KazunoriAMA[S] 2 points 4 minutes ago

Shiro: This is one of the best mixes of a car show and a driving event. It's interactive -- this mix is very special. It's one of a kind.

Rather than being a motor show, Goodwood Festival of Speed is like a huge party that's hosted by a single man and I think that everyone has an experience of hosting a small party at a home for a few guests. But when you think about it from the point of view of a single person hosting a party this big, it's very interesting.

It's also a very fun learning experience. I think every time I visit, the incredible passion and fun comes directly from Lord March, who makes this possible.

While on the subject of asking useless questions on what inspired him to make games, ask him if he still has a passion for robots and if we can expect an Omega Boost 2 and/or a GT7 and Omega Boost collab experience.

How is it not?

They have a straight up choice, include the PS2 assets or don't. If they don't, the quantity goes down but the quality is balanced and up to date. If they do, they're sacrificing overall quality for quantity.
I think you don't understand the concept of sunk cost. Here is a link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunk_costs.

You are also taking averages as the valid indicator to your claim when it isn't very well applicable. For adding not removing standards you won't damage the quality of the premium ones. It is the same old problem of averages: If I eat two cakes and you zero in average we ate 1 each, but you are still hungry. Please understand the problems that this indicator has.

This year we saw more of the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge styling exercise at Goodwood . Hopefully there will be a production model, but, even if there isn't be a production model, can you please bring it to GT ? 6 or 7 , doesn't matter :)

Shiro: Sure. Why not? We like the design and we like the performance. We'll start working with Yamauchi-san immediately.

This is a classic example of fans asking for something, us listening, and we're both here together, and we'll make it happen.

I'll add it to the huge chopping list of Gran Turismo cars.
"classic example of fans asking for something and we'll make it happen"

i'm not even going to start the rage train after that comment
what bout improved sound in GT6? finish you god damn game before you start another one, jeez.

Sure, I'm with you - in fact most of my favourite cars are standard!

However, I still think it's better to let them go - after all many of the cars will likely be remade as premiums if they just let go of this bizarre idea that it's somehow acceptable to re-use assets for 10 years.

The vote with your wallet argument is a really bad one. It basically says that unless a game is perfect, you shouldn't buy it.

It's a load of bullcrap.

Criticism is not a bad thing, and if you can't handle it then use the ignore function or get off the boards.
There will be no less than 5 very good options ranging from console arcade to pc sim racers very soon. Voting with your wallet is THE way.

Partly?

Even if it's not him at the keyboard I'm sure whoever it is that is answering the questions is going to be answering them as directed by Kaz...so what does it matter?
If it isnt Kaz, yet they say it is. Doesnt it mean they dont give a damn when it comes to lying to their fans? I think its the guy that writes the pitstop blog typing a storm at the keyboard.

Is there a way to show all of the answers up top? It's quite tiresome to keep having to scan through the whole thread for new answers.

These Reddit people need to stop asking pointless questions and start asking questions that has something to do with the game. :P
It's called "ask me anything" - what do you expect? If you want to see someone only answering related questions, look at the backlash that is Woody Harrelson's IAmA. ;)

Okay, I know I'm really honing in on something here but.. I really, REALLY hope a lawsuit comes out of Kaz suddenly trying to say he never promised monthly DLC.

It's blatant false advertising and it was one of the very, VERY few reasons I gave GT6 a chance.

It seems that you hate almost everything about Kaz, PD or GranTurismo ... I have to ask ... why are you still here ? You can always start paying for Forza, Asseto or P.Cars ... please choose one of them if you hate this game so much !

Kaz and Shiro: Thank you everyone for all of your interesting and inspiring questions. As we saw we were able to get not only great questions but great ideas from all of you as well!

I wish we could have answered all of your questions, but we have to get back to Goodwood to enjoy the amazing Festival of Speed.

That's all folks.

Tell me: do you pretend not to see the problem with standards cars or do you REALLY not see it ?

I mean someone smart enough to understand the consept of sunk cost can probably understand the concepts of coherence, visual quality, visual immersion, etc...

I get that you disagree with Samus and all... but don't talk as if keeping standards was the most logical and clever thing to do....and getting rid of it would be stupid. Don't talk like people who don't want standard cars in their game for understandable - though debattable- reasons are just stupid or ignorant.

Doesn't make you sympathetic, and hurts my little heart. :(

None of that has anything to do with quality over quantity. I don't care whether it costs or makes PD money to put the standards into a PS4 game, them doing so is taking quantity of cars over quality. It's a rather simple concept, if you include something of a lower quality purely to increase numbers, it's quantity over quality.

Here, have a box of 10 cakes. 5 are a bit dry, bit of mold perhaps on one, but 10 are better than 5, right!? I've already made the 5 dodgy ones so you might as well have them!

You sir are a saint.

Oh, and looks like they're done answering questions. Nothing mind blowing, but we know not to expect the sound update for GT6 and that they GPS track maker is still being worked on.

There was a DLC monthly.

"Well they're starting to realise that we've got nothing interesting to say and they're starting to ask really good questions - BETTER BAIL"

What an utter waste of time, I almost preferred it when they didn't say squat to us at least then I had my respect for PD

There was a DLC monthly.

Updates aren't DLC, they're updates.

DLC is content being added, they outright promised at least 1 track per month.

It's now June, how many tracks have we gotten?

All I can say is this.

Kaz, your ability to pick relevant and informative questions to the GT Community is 🤬. You have only answered one relevant question, about GT7 getting improved sound. There was a total of three-hundred-and-seventy questions to choose from. Why?
Why waste our time with absolutely pointless answers to questions written by 5 year olds.

Respect for you and your product is going away.
