Agreed! We will definitely get a new layout of one of the original circuits. Whether we get an additional circuit i'm not sure - If we do I'm hoping for some classic GT circuits though! (I'm not massively fussed about real world circuits, although I wouldn't say no to some of them - Tsukuba, Laguna Seca, motegi)

Nothing is certain of course but I believe there are signs of a 'new' track coming given one came in January and it might be a legend from previous GT's......

Wrong.

This is called DEMOCRACY.

I'll teach you something: learn to live with the contradictory and the opinion of the people.

If you do not like reading things that do not please your passion, go to bed and cry on the pillow.

People have the right to express their desires and opinions.

Do not harass people with mockery and derision, for the purpose of censuring them.
Now I'm trying to censor your democracy on some internet forum.

This is definitely a new one, I'll make sure to tell my pillow about it after praying to Kazunori tonight.

Tuner cars in general, Amuse, Mines, Spoon, made the GT experience for me in the early games. GT2 was my first real experience of JDM car culture and I found it hilarious at the time that a yellow Civic with a cutlery sticker on the back window could rev to 11,000rpm how little I knew back in '99!

I miss when the general priority of GT was bringing exposure to the small workshops of Japan. Household names now like Mine's, Spoon, Mugen, etc. would have never reached the heights of popularity that they do now without mainstream exposure through GT.

The problem probably is that most of these demo cars don‘t exist anymore so PD can‘t make a super ultra hyper premium model from it.
I‘d love to have the Amuse R1 and all the other tuner cars again tho :dopey:

It's sort of still a thing but with american custom shops through the SEMA winners that are coming back slowly, wish it wasn't just the winners but I guess resources can't be directed so much at those.

Not really true. Most are, and if not, the parts they used are still easy to find. Reps have to be made some way or another :dopey:

Mine's, Spoon and Mugen aren't really what I'd call household names :D (Though I guess Mugen will at least be familiar to a bigger crowd from the F1 days)

I agree though, these tuner cars are one of the nuances I like about GT's of old... I'd happily take a couple of Mine's cars over handful of SEMA winners.

Rumor has it PD had 20 tracks ready to drop on us last month, but after seeing the complaints on GT Planet about the trees popping, they decided to hold them back and not release them :sly:

^ Fake News ^
I've only noticed that at Monza.
If we are truly getting the Red Bull cars, can one think the Red Bull Ring in Austria is coming as the track of this pack?!
One of my favourite tracks in AC, so I'd definitely welcome its addition to GTS.

Don't forget
I honestly figured they would continue adding new cars and courses afterwards. I mean, if Polyphony is still willing to try adding cars until they reach 500 premiums; then there would be no way they would stop. The same with tracks, they added new courses to GT6 within 2 years after its initial release.

Though with that said, I honestly doubt they will make their "add up to 500 cars in a year" goal. Even if they kept up the pace they have now with adding cars, they would only be able to add another 100-150 by the time a year has passed since GTS's release.

I can't wait to get at those SGT cars. I stayed away from the LMP cars because I thought they'd be too fast for me. Having completed a couple of the Mission challenges, the 919 is an awesome vehicle. If a GT500 is just about as quick, should make for some tasty racing.

I don’t think that was ever a priority for GT, it was more of a workaround to increase the car count as those tuners surely were happy to license their cars to PD, and PD had the easiest access to them in Japan.

And it did work out for them, as today everyone knows their brands.

For PD today, surely the focus is on the main brand’s models, as it apparently takes a lot of development time to finish a super premium model. Their backlog must be quite long, and they have to be picky about which cars to add.

This isn’t censorship, or harassment.

The point is that it gets incredibly annoying to see you (and others) complain about tracks every single time Kaz tweets about an update. We’ve had a track every months with an update. We’re clearly getting tracks.

Also, it’s pretty funny that you’re talking about harassment when you literally state that people should “go to bed and cry on their pillow” if they don’t agree with what you’re saying.
The guy mocks the user because he thinks about more tracks. Is not this a harassment?

Is it annoying people to say? Why? Have you stopped to reflect that those who think unfavorably about the GTS, some get angry? Why bother? Is not it better to respect the opposite view?

I was rude, because I reacted to rudeness. That simple.

Who started the mockery was not me. I exercised my right to comment. And the GT fan was bothered with a message disliked and mocked. This is censorship.
It's not cordial.

Now, we have to comment only on what pleases fans. Otherwise, they have the right to mock. OK.

Man, do not make a selective and biased interpretation.

I wonder why it is so painful to read opinions that displease. I do not understand this. Unless some users are shareholders of PD.

Anyway, I will not prolong this useless discussion. I close this way. I do not want to divert the topic.

With the March update we reach 217 cars. 50 cars within 5 months are 10 cars per month. In the end of December 2018 we would reach 307 cars. Another 12 months of cars and it would be 407. Kaz Yamauchi mentioned 400-500 cars. Maybe it will end with around 400 cars. I think that this is more realistic than 500.

I like this "cars" thing, but until now, of those 50 cars there were maybe not even 5 i was really interested in.
I hope at some point they will stop mostly refreshing their older car models from GT6 and start also bring batches of current cars released in 2016-2018. And really, even more important than new cars at this point are more tracks.
I am not complaining about free updates (i actually think its the least they can do as the base game was really sparse). But it feels a tiny bit like stalling.

Well if Super GT is the introduction of a Gr. 2 then these cars actually wouldn't be useless.
I'd bet that if a Gr. 2 were to be implemented then we would also get a share of Gran Turismo-created machines like the other classes did. Nissan 2020 and Infiniti VGTs might make fine candidates.

VGT cars on the other hand, are complete garbage in any mode.
Biggest travesty about Gr. X is that since they're all just lumped into one featureless category, its very difficult to organize a decent race with them.

2 red bull cars == red bull ring track in this update (I HOPE :D)

I love the RedBull Ring but I can't see why, just because it shares a name, anyone would think it will come along with the car.
No, if I was to hazard a guess then it will most likely be Fuji or Motegi due to the Super GT500s being released.
