More about the difficulty level:

Kaz_Yamauchi: イチから学べるように8週間かけて徐々に難易度が上がっていきます。RT @ngsmikiindy: @Kaz_Yamauchi 難易度は上級者にも楽しめる難易度ですか?

Kaz_Yamauchi: The difficulty is going to gradually increase over 8 weeks of time in order to make it possible to learn from scratch RT @ngsmikiindy: @Kaz_Yamauchi will the difficulty be such that [advanced drivers] can enjoy it as well?

So GT Academy appears to have a better structure now.

Must be due to the exploiting of track boundaries that was occurring in the 2010/11 contest.

I wonder if it also has some updated physics that PD could possibly implement in the future.

What's frustrating for me about this is I will be on vacation for 3 weeks in June which sounds like will prevent me from completing all of round 1. I wish all of the round 1 content was released at once and I could just log my best times and see where I match. Guess not.:grumpy:

So it's like a "school" type of format (?), easy to hard, sorta like the license test's but it seems interesting and I am looking forward to that.

:dopey:

I'm really looking forward to this challenge.

Advance physics engine, licence test like progress and a leveling system that changes as you progress?

Count me in! :dopey:

Advanced physics engine? Whaa?

Yep, that's what the tweet from Kaz to the other person about the GT Academy Challenge. It seems that they are taking GTA 2012 to a whole new level.

I think he's talking about the 8 different stages. They get more difficult as they go on in terms of technicality. I hope I'm wrong.

There not going to get easier.

There not going to get easier.

I think he understands that. By "I hope I'm wrong" he meant he hopes the tweet meant the physics engine is improved. But anyone who got that out of what KY wrote is misreading the translation.

Their hadn't been a tweet about advanced physics engine at all.

No matter, as soon as the demo hits folks will no doubt say its advanced.

Yup, no doubt. ^^

Like the standards were never improved and people were saying it's all in our heads.

Thank you.

Thanks for the correction about the advanced physics. I was just wondering if GT Academy 2012 Challenge gonna have some updated engine that increases with either the annual challenges or by difficulty.

Who knows how it will be, so we will have to wait until May 1st to see.

Looking at the latest news article about GT academy, i'm starting to think they needed to do quite a lot of programming setting this 2012 version up. Minigame in itself with new analytic features per country etcetera...

Guess this is the reason why PD seemed dead the last months, as they were setting this thing up, and it's more complex than before.

So to make a long story short, when the online part of the academy is over and they can actually focus on the game again, i think the last batches of DLC will be released. Let's say first one in June then.

@ stormbringer: Change the name of your thread from "Next DLC (April/May) whats it gonna be?" to "Next DLC (June) whats it gonna be?" :dopey:

This this this

新コースの噂が出てます・・・。http://ow.ly/aLwQ4 RT @tagyan_mark2: @Kaz_Yamauchi GTアカデミーで新車種とか新コースが出たりしますか?まだ秘密?

Four Tweets (so far) this morning, all answering questions about GT Academy - mostly ones we already know the answer to.

The most recent one seems to be someone Tweeting him about this GTPlanet news article and I can't, for the life of me, understand either the question or the answer. It looks like someone asking if it's true and Yamauchi saying he's not going to confirm it.

There's also a Tweet which seems to say that after GT Academy's qualifier has finished, the rewards (so far the Leaf and Silvia GTA versions) will be "sent together" - possibly hinting at a free DLC pack.

Hah, I have been trying to understand it also, very confusing.

Sounds about right however it seems odd that Kaz would even reply at all if he won't confirm it, unless he is bound (PR in full swing) and is hinting by replying.

He's Tweeted all of that again in English... except for the GTPlanet-linked one about Motegi
