Ask him what ...

C'mon guys, you not so naive, are you? You really think he personally reads this. Companies have special departments for that called "Community Support". And the CEO is most likely not part of that department. Everybody can create a twitter account with such names.

There are some called "Santa Claus" or "God" .. hm, well who knows 💡

let me see if i understand what you are saying , that im writin to santa claus for 10 years now , and isnt him??
you rocked my world.

I posted a tweet at kaz-san, not sure if he'll read it though:

This is what I posted:

TRANSLATED
"Here's a question from the GTPlanet community: Will it be possible to create point to point courses in the course maker in the future? It would be awesome to do touge races on a constant downhill course."

Could you post:

"Will Spa Franchorchamps and other historic circuits be implemented later on?"

If people are going to send tweets to Kaz can they please consider concentrating on the immediate needs as clearly PD are in a 'patch' mode, ie sorting things out. Unprotected saves and some of the online is really excellent news to hear so can I add for starters;

- an option to save during Championship series
- an option to save mutiple tuning options per car
- a ghost on any License test style test eg AMG Challnge, Grand Tour etc
He speaks the truth. For all the long term wish lists like Standard car replacements and new tracks, we should stick them in the improvement thread.

My several bits:

  • Can the economy of GT5 be improved, such as increasing prizes and having prize cars sold each time a race or series is won, such as in the previous GTs? And prize money for online racing?
  • Will Performance points be returning?
  • Can the used car lot be reworked? It's way too small, and cars we need for certain races - and trucks, HINT! - show up too infrequently.
  • Is there a chance that the more sim-like Time Trial physics, tweaked a bit, could be patched in as a separate mode we can select?

I'd like to know if they plan on implementing a rewind/forward function in the replays so i dont have to spend an hr tryin to get that perfect shot, the ability to move forward a frame a time would solve completely this problem for me.

Whatever, but the online improvements and especially removal of copy protection from saves must have come from customer feedback. I would suggest that GTPlanet and Twitter would have been key sources of that feedback.

Can anybody ask KY if there is a possibility for some of the standard cars to be "transformed" into premiums with help of future DLC packs? Or if are they planning to release new cars/new tracks?

+1 👍

As we've said before Sony/PD will make a lot of $$$ if they go down the DLC. Surely is a no-brainer in the business model.

That was extremely encouraging to see. That's very quick turnaround on strong feedback. Bravo PD/Sony/Kaz/whoever is listening.

I think a combination of fan feedback (petition on this forum and on PSN) helped. The input of one of the mods on the PSN forums probably helped alot as well. As no sooner had the mod posted about the results of a gt5 feedback meeting, kaz then did a twitter update.

They certainly will collect feedback one way or the other. But this is the job of the publisher (Sony) not the job of the developer (PD). The CEO of the developer has better things to do than reading kiddies twitter messages.

The developer (PD) gets paid for shipping a product, like it or not, they shipped it, Sony published it, you bought it, deals done.

If they care for feedback, then mostly to validate their Public-Relation-Campaigns. This is a multimillion dollar business, not a kindergarden.

All you can do is hoping for gifts from their side. But expecting them to compile a new feature list from an internet-site is purely naive and ridiculous.

I think you have that totally wrong. All the games that I have, where there is any post-initial shipment changes or patches, have been done at the behest of the developer.

I agree it is nothing to do with CEO, but it is the game developer NOT Sony who makes the decisions. Sony only too easily wash their hands of anything to do with the game by saying stuff like 'well it is the decision of the developer (/game producer).

Its a shame other games dont have the psn save link, there's a lot of games that its essential to back up saves. Demons soul's, assassins creed 2 etc... Are games you put a lot of time and effort in to, losing your save would really suck. Its fair that we at least have the option. Psn id save link is a fantastic way to do it, hopefully that will stop the save hacking and sharing. I dont get why you'd wanna do that anyway? Spend all that money just to cheat, you've not really earned anything.

I never said there are no patches, I said the decision is not up to the developer. Fixing game blocker bugs (like the lobby bugs recently) is part of the contract with the publisher, nothing to decide here for the developer.

Patches with new features are a bit different. A developer in the AAA world doesn't make anything because he decides to. He has to pay 100+ people a month (in a small studio), you have an idea how much money that is?

Even if the developer wants to, he needs to convince a publisher to pay him for every little piece. If the publisher doesn't want it, the feature is being cut, otherwise the developer is broke after one month.

It's a shame that Sony didn't implement the backup/restore functionality correctly so that game developers have to implement a locking mechanim themselves (to prevent sharing of game saves).

They (Sony) should've looked to Apple, you can connect all (max five I think) your iDevices (iPhone, iPod etc) to your iTunes account, allowing to install all apps, songs etc.

What does a game save linked to a PSN ID that people are hoping for mean exactly?

I'm sure if someone download a game save in December that if say it's PSN ID locked they'll have all the content from that save. Only thing that won't happen is trophies transfered or possibly not even able to gain more from that point.

Think Ferrari challenge was like that. If you transfered over your save you couldn't gain further trophies.

So the people hoping it'll be a PSN linked save just care about other people not getting trophies? I doubt anyone downloading a save could give a crap about trophies and just want the cars.

I just don't understand how people are praying/holding out for a linked save.

My understanding would be that if it is linked to a PSN Profile, unless you have the details of that persons PSN online account then you can't use that save.

So GT5 fires up, matches the psn profile details stored in the save game file with the currently logged in user on PSN. If this is done in offline mode then either it won't load the save game or trophies will be turned off.

Until they release the update..we will all be guessing.

Could someone than speaks japanese ask him about implementing day/night cycle and/or dynamic Weather in the others tracks ( Trial Mountain, Depp forest, etc) via DLC or patch?
