Ouch! You nailed that wall man. There's still a lot of parts to sell from that civic though, so cash recooperation should be relatively easy

You suck Keef, way to wreck another good Honda!

Glad to hear you're alright, and especially glad to hear you bought an RX-7. Atleast it won't be too big of a loss if you wrap it around a tree.

Or a light pole in Walmart's parking lot. Time for some dorifto action!

Speaking of that, I brought it home. I toyed with it a bit and I don't think it has an LSD. It does have the sport package with 4-piston front calipers though. Doesn't that mean it has an LSD too? Iono.

All I can say about it so far is it's obnoxiously loud on the highway. Not the engine, but the circa-1991 sound deadening and wind noise. The ride is awful too. It's old-car mushy but a clunker over bumps at the same time. The steering wheel is off center a bit. The engine bay is super dirty. One of the storage compartments behind the seats has broken hinges. The paint has spots of peeling here and there like I mentioned before.

But the flip-ups work, and that is awesome.

I'll post pictures of it later when I get home from work. For now I have to go to the store and buy oil.

Glubags
So the RX-7 is indeed your first RWD car, eh?
Yup. Should have some fun.
I'm sorry to say but your current record with FWD cars isn't encouraging. PLEASE be careful with the RX-7. I know it's not powerful, but neither were the Del Sol and Civic. Take it slow with the RX-7 and really learn how to drive it. If you expect to be thrashing around corners with the same driving technique as the Civic, you're in for a rude awakening. Just as an example, mid-corner understeer in the Civic can be corrected with a quick lift of the throttle. Doing that in the RX-7 could snap the rear end around faster than you might think. All I'm saying is be careful! 👍

1) Glad to see you weren't hurt.

2) If I were the kind of person to take wild guess --I'm not, but IF I were -- I'd take a wild guess that it looks like someone tried to pass on the shoulder and encountered some Dirty Jersey debris. ;)

So, basically, it has better "feel" than your Civic then? :P

:D for some reason i just could not stop laughing at that.

Sorry about your car, looked unmolested before the wreck

You realize at least the Del Slow wasn't wrecked while screwing around right?

Besides, I'm pretty much positive Keef has enough seat time in something RWD to know how to drive one.

Eesh, looks like a nasty bit of work done to that Civic. I'm not happy, first PB's, now yours :( We're running out of nice 96-01 Civics on GTP...

Sounds like mine.

The ride is awful too.

Sounds like mine.

It's old-car mushy

Doesn't sound like mine...

but a clunker over bumps at the same time.

...sounds like mine.

The steering wheel is off center a bit.

Sounds like mine. When I got it. What you need is a full alignment and half of it's ills will all be miraculously cleared up.

But the flip-ups work, and that is awesome.

...sounds like mine.

At least it's allowed you to transfer over from the dark side, fail wheel drive is fail.

There's always one...

The Del Sol was totaled when a lady in a PT Cruiser didn't check for traffic and pulled out in front of him. Not his fault. The SI was due to a tire blowout at highway speeds on Falken Azenis in cold weather. They're pretty much plastic in the winter, I've driven on them.

He's not a bad driver, I know first hand.

Sad to hear about the Civic. It was a pretty sweet car.

I'll post pictures of it later when I get home from work. For now I have to go to the store and buy oil.

Get used to it. You'll quickly learn your way to all the car stores in the area, and know every corner along the way like the back of your hand. I'm sure I'll never forget how to get from my house to Shucks...

Ohhh, no, no, no. I'm not that crazy.

So, basically, it has better "feel" than your Civic then? :P
All the wrong kind. I've discovered a new one: something inside the gauge cluster sounds like it's flapping in the wind at highway speed. I'll chalk it up to "feel".

If I can figure out how to drive a go kart at 60mph, and inch off the ground, my eyesight blurry from vibration, and holding my head up against 3 g corners, I can figure this one out too. I'm slow, and careful though. At the moment I'm not comfortable driving the thing fast at all. I'm still trying to get over the weird feeling of sitting 5 feet behind the front wheels. The car turns before I do...

Lack of air bags make me scared for Keef. :scared:

Its in pretty good shape for its age though, hows the under side and engine bay look?

Great find! Get some black wheels and call it a day.

Very clean looking everywhere, do you mind me asking how much you paid?

speaking of rx7, it's funny because i was bound and determined to get a miata. I was looking for the perfect one, and looking hard. So stressed. I just started searching random daily postings looking for funny stuff and i saw "1991 mazda rx7 $2900", and i went uhwhaaaaaa...? I looked at all my buddies and got a resounding awesome, and so sunday josh and i went down to look at it. And i bought it. I asked him as we left "josh, why did you let me do that? What a terrible idea!"

$2900.

OwO

Um...wow. at first I thought he'd actually bought a replica Takashi FC. Then I realized it came that way. X3

Great buy, man. top off that oil. ;3

That is rediculously clean!! Like, disgustingly clean for a '91. I wish you better luck with her. 👍

Cheers,
Jetboy
