I mention the K20 because the K20 will bolt up to the S2000 transmission. So find someone who has F2x swapped an RSX-S. Preferably not a 2006+ Civic Si because of the drive by wire throttle. K20 aftermarket is considerably cheaper.

The hell with that... might as well get a S2K.

I generally don't like how 4 cylinders sound. There are some that sound nice but that usually involves ITBs and straight pipes.

Ported 13B or any sort of American V8 > that in terms of sound. And that's why one of the two would get the nod from me.

K20s don't have a sound that pleases my ears, and I guess not Rotary Junkie's either. Also, it's a ridiculous swap to being with. The rotary is a perfectly good engine, I don't see why people hate on them so much. It's the turbo models, and especially the sequential turbo system on the FDs that give rotaries a bad rap.

I like this thing. The engine sounds weird, but I like it. Plus, I took the door panel off earlier to look at the god awful stock speakers, and I have to say the interior is much more solidly built than I expected from a 1991 car. Much better quality than my Civic, which itself was pretty satisfying. For example, the climate control/vent/radio surround thing isn't a fragile piece of plastic, it's a damn solid chunk of rubber, or at least it looks and feels like it. The knobby things on the side of the gauge pod have rubber finger grips, not the stupid slippery plastic texturing you see on so many cars these days, like my mom's new Corolla. There is cheap flimsy plastic, don't get me wrong, but it seems to be where it should be for the most part.

I actually gain efficiency. Remember, rotaries' compression ratio increases with rpm.

ELABORATE.

The faster the rotor spins, the more it bends the time-space continuum.
Pretty much.

The faster the rotor spins, centrifugal force expands the rotor itself and makes the apex seals seal tighter, increasing the compression ratio and making the fuel actually burn halfway decent. It's not a drastic change, but it does change.

Thanks, Mr. Lipinski. The last time my highschool physics teacher reminded me that it was 4 years ago.

I worked my ass off through University Physics last Spring, so I think I have the right to correct every person who ever mentions that myth!

I have been waiting so long to use that picture. Anyway, wow. Rotaries horrify me. I want one.

Do they make kit to put 13B into Miata? If so, I now have a dream.

That was actually a very active member who's username was Miata13b. It was apparantly a well known car, even when it met rear end of a truck in a rathe runfortunate incident.

Where is he now...

Not much gets past you, swift.👍 Happy New Year to you Keef. Keep this one from getting too messed up.

Cheers,

I learned two things tonight.

First of all, the front end of my car is about a foot longer than I thought it was. Secondly, the more parking lot light poles you snow drift around the higher the likelyhood of you hitting one of them. Thankfully I was going slow, and Mazda makes a great flexible front bumper cover. Saved me the hassle of knocking the ice off the front.

You forgot to mention you learned how incredibaly fun rwd is in the snow, whether you hit poles or not. Well, perhaps you already knew this. :)

So how did you hit it? Ugh you're making me wanna go slide right now!

 Already hit a pole?

You need to just give it up. Sell the RX-7, buy a Geo, and leave these bouts of spirited driving to your Gran Turismo sessions.

 Sod off mate. At least he has the balls to admit to having screwed up.

Hey I wacked a guard rail when I still had my 30 day tags  then less than a month after getting the body work fixed and respraying the car championship white my left fender had a taste of the same thing. Not to mention numerous mishaps here and there. But look at me now, I turned out just fine
