Kenny's Muscle Car Competition Week 2

spykerdriver, I *really* like that GT350! Clear and grainy at the same time haha

olskoolkid, that's essentially what I am looking for in the color photos, just like that :) Great shot.

Ill work on, some shots tonight.....If worse comes to worse, Ill do what "Div is back" did and desaturate color pics 💡

Im not sure how to "add age" to photos , so Im not going to try to wing it by adding a bunch of filters on a pic :indiff: So they will be pretty clean instead of aged.

That's alright. I don't know how to do it either, so I'm leaving these comps open to if even I was participating in them as an entrant. Plain old black and white works as long as you make it a quality shot. 👍

suzq's last shot of the Superbee and the Cuda is pretty badass. 👍 Man, if I had an x-port. :irked:

Thanks I will put my finals in this post
Final Entrys

Great subtle work there!

Is the semi-circle on the right supposed to be a coffee stain of some sort? Not that it matters, just wondering. :)

That's a great first try.

The only thing I don't like about the picture is that the SS badge looks like it is split in 1/2. I know, it's the way the light fell on it that made it different brightness, but it looks odd to me.

are these ok? im not real great with photoshop.

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do with the first picture. I see vertical blur lines streaking across the photo and random colored dots in various places. lol I'm very confused on this one.

The second picture is much better, there may be too much color though if you know what I mean - seems a tad 'rich' in color, but it could just be me.

Your third pic is superb. VERY good, no other comments needed. The fourth one is good too. 👍

Here are a few :dopey:

Daddy shows up the musclecars in what was otherwise a peaceful Trans Am event :P

Who let that guy onto the track anyway? :sly: Nice pics.

@Supercar_Killer - your picture is ineligible. If it is to be done in color, it must be done with a vintage feel. Check out the other color entries.

its raining on the camera in the first one, and the second one was taken with a crappy camera. thats all i could find in the attic.

Sorry bout the first one, posted the wrong url. Is this pic okay? Best one I could find at the moment.

Yes this picture is fine. Although it seems like I've seen variations of it.

I went to bed last night, and remembered I put the S4 in the comp.. :dunce: ...Ill change it later, and add a couple more

do I cleaned the photos too much? :scared:
Sorry but I do not have Photoshop.

I don't care if you clean up the photos, they look good :)

However...

Ok, so the challenge is give me a muscle car photo in which it looks old and real. Photoshop may be used. There are various ways to achieve this. You can simply do black and white, which will specify to me that this picture was taken by a professional photographer. The framing and quality better match this, then. Keep in mind a pro photographer is not gonna bother taking nice pictures of a crappy car in a crappy setting.

If you insist on doing color, the color MUST be in technicolor style, so it looks like it's from the 60s or 70s.

Considering how you do not have photoshop, I would advise you just to make them black and white, any photo program should do that :)

Hey, what's with giving tips to entrants? 👎 With this competition being so popular and the entry standard so high, I don't think the (single) judge should be giving tips to people. Gotta try and keep it fair?... :indiff:

I hope your kidding....he was just helping the guy out. Its not a "tip" on making them "better". Hes just helping someones pics become black and white to "qualify" for the pic comp requirements. Its no big deal :)

In case you haven't noticed, I've been giving out tips freely since last week.

Since I AM the only judge, I think it is only fair for people to know what I like. It's beneficial to enter early, so if I find something wrong, I'll let you know.

And like vr6 said, in this case I was just trying to alert the guy that he needs to convert them so they will be eligible :)

IMO I don't think you should be telling people how to win, how to place, or what the judge is after. It should be up to them to submit what they think is their best picture, then wait for the results. That's all part of entering a competition - you do your best, then wait to see if you're good enough.

But then, that's just MY opinion. It's your competition and you are free to run it whatever way you want. If I don't like it I should just start my own competition. (I won't actually do that, I'm just making a point.) I never should have said anything in the first place. Sorry. :guilty:

This competition has really taken off, so you must be doing something right.

Enough of this, better get back on topic. Somebody post some pictures please... :)
