King of the Track: The Community vs C.J Wilson

So all i have to do to win the challange stradale is beat his lap time? easy enough. haha

... really? I don't know much about this fella, but Google tells me he's quite the amateur racer; he was even at Daytona this weekend prepping for the 24 hour race. Maybe he's still tired :P

I expected a sub 1:10 to be honest. Good thing I stopped at 1:10.032; there's a good 1.5 seconds of credit grinds to come! And a 360 CS! AND a Huarya!

Actually, is there anything stopping Wilson from bettering his time? Even though it's just a game, he surely won't be pleased when he sees well over half the entrants beating him?

Originally, I wasn't going to (the page could have been up last week) as I didn't see much worth in it. But now I should put it up on the news page.

To the newsroom I go!

Well im pretty sure his lap times in game doesnt change how good of a driver he is in real life.

I heard one of his team cars were taken out at that practice and he's having to look for a replacement vehicle for the event.
It could be they didn't want to make it too difficult for people to win a prize, hence the slow-ish time. Claiming the top prize will be tough though, not everybody in the top 10 is from the U.S but I'm sure position #6 is, and getting a sub 1:08 isn't going to be easy (... as this video makes out, don't you just hate talented people?)

I think i only did about 2-3 laps on it, so as of now im sitting at 1:11 haha. As long as its faster then 1:13 im fine with it.

I topped your score by a few thousands of a second. Guess you'll have to go again. ;)

Because of this, i will pass it by tonight. I wasnt planning on playing tonight either! haha

hahahaha, better take a few tenths off. After that, I doubt I could do better. I cannot get that car to stick.

Is this an America only thing?

I think only US residents are eligible for the grand prize. Your location probably won't matter much if it's just for car gifting.

Glad to read this, not only because the Stradale is my most-wanted unicorn (which means I'll probably be killing the paintjob it comes with), but this means I don't have to blow 1.8 million on the Huayra.

I'll give it a go. Seems fairly easy.

Update 1:12.8 in just a few laps. Can't stand that car or track.

Really? No offense to Mr. Wilson, but how did he get to be featured in this? I thought it would be a grueling hot lap, something to work at for a couple days. Not a couple laps :ouch:

Hey Turn10, can you feature one of us next? 💡

Jerome

I'm still pretty slow, I have gotten a 1:10.9. I need to try it on my wheel, I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

IMO, I don't think Mr. Wilson spent a lot of time setting that time. I think the intent of his time was to set something VERY reachable so most everyone could win the car. Now for the top prize that is another contest all together - how many here are in the 1:07:xx range

1:10.6

I think we need a little more of a challenge...

You have a challenge... the top prize :)

I race this challenge today but my time is something not worth of mention heheh

driving with the controller is tough, a good time, like you guys are doing, is difficult, but i'll try more :P
