La Sarthe and Spa ,weather report and other " stuff "

I understand the reluctance to put "permanent" upgrades on the LaFerrari since it isn't the easiest car to acquire with it being an invitation-only car and costing 1.6 million credits. I find in most cases that anyone here who has shared 100+ tunings of different cars has great recommendations to truly upgrade the driving experience for these cars. Some of them make such a massive difference that I am beyond grateful to have found GT Planet.

Let's say you did Titanium and Racing Crankshaft upgrades like that tune in the video and regretted it later. It is not permanent and would cost 800,000 to buy a new engine and remove them. No invite is necessary once you have the vehicle already and it would just require you to race and win this event one time with a clean race bonus to afford that. So just thought I would throw that out there.
This is not a problem I have with cars like the laferrari.

But I still wouldn't take the laferrari to le man cause it sucks..

It has horrible fuel economy.
Its has horrible top end speed.
And the hybrid system runs out just as fast as the fxxk does leaving you with a dead weight car.
With so many better cars for le man its a waste of 30Minutes.

Just my take.

Maybe copy tune - lsd, suspension, downforce etc using easy replaceable parts, but leave out the perm ones? Probably wont make much difference, may just need to tweak lsd slightly to allow for different bhp from perm parts you haven't installed?
Yeah, I do this of course. For most of my favorite cars I have 3 sheets, "Stock" (everything stock except tires), "Tuned/Street" (where I just use upgrades that would keep the car street legal) and "Tuned/Racing" (all non permanent upgrades allowed).

Hm, I guess it depends what you expect from the race. Even with the most basic detune to 700PP the LaFerrari is absolutely capable to win on any difficulty. If you are looking for especially fast laps it's probably not the best choice.
For me it's about variety. I just need to drive different cars to not get bored here.

Same here. I tend to race new races on hard, then go back to others, particularly the 'grind' big payers using variety of cars... don't care if not optimum for race or not, or beating quickest times each race. Lower difficulty to easy to open up very wide array of cars to use.

As someone that's driven pretty much every car in this race variety is something I know about this race.👍

Personally the fxxk and the enzo are better for this race then the laferrari (imho).

Maybe a bit off topic, hope you guys don't mind.

As I said before, I like to drive cars here that I haven't driven before. One of those is the Mitsubishi Evo III. It was in the UCD today so I bought one and did a full racing upgrade with a mid rev turbo. Ended up at ~696PP and ~520HP IIRC.
Another very nice car, quick, easy to drive, good fuel economy. Easy win.
But what really blew me away was the sound! That has to be one of the best sounding cars in the game!
If you like good sounding cars (and who doesn't?) and you haven't checked the Evo III out yet, then go and buy it, you won't regret it!

Funny story that just happen to me.

So here I was doing the race when heavy rain makes it a 6 lapper, so on lap 6 I stop just right before the start/finish line to wait out the over 4 minutes left and a 1 lap lead when a restroom break hits I think about pausing the game but no I said I should be fast.

Well long story short when I came back I was in 14th place with 0 time left.

Worst way to lose this race.

Did anyone try the Lancia Stratos? I bought it, did a full upgrade (without weight reduction) and it's pretty much unusable. No grip at all on RMs, either goes straight when trying to steer into a corner or it goes in the corner but immediately spins out.
Do I need a tune for this to make it drivable or is it just an awful car that I should put back into my garage and forget about it?

Back in gt6 that car was a nightmare, never try it there .

Today i lost about 700k trying to set a swapped Subaru brz 18 under praiano tune .
Needed to buy another 2 🤐 in order to achieve it .
Might be the most glitch tune of the game , moving power and ecu from 100 to 70 ( even both of them ) nothing changed 🤣🤣 .

Yesterday i spend about 700k or more for nothing.
I was trying to copy praiano settings at a BRZ 18 .
First i use the one i had putting everything on it , i realise that wasn't achievable ( praiano note this but didn't notice my delf 🤐 ) due to engine upgrades.
I bought a second but i bought a racing crankshaft that spoil everything again .
So i bought and a third one starting all over again , swap, wide , aero upgrades etc.

The car has crazy power ,can do 3 laps short shifting but the tyres ( RS ) can't.
I put medium this morning, was more slippery but with TC at 2 or 3 things went better.
At the end i did the last race in a row the 3 laps one with the hyper cars just to see how fast can it go without FM and tyre wear stuff.
I achieve a 3.40 ( RM tyres ) but definitely can do lower than that.
Must be one of the fastest road cars in the game and the most broken tune sheet ever.
With zero ballast have almost the same pp with 200kg ballast at whatever position 🤣
You put ECU and power together from 100 to 70 both and you gain only a dozen of pp but not under 700 etc.etc.
If you have spare a couple of hundreds you can try it .

Happy new year to all La Sarthe lovers and friends.
Just did another BRZ swapped run today ,took daily crap and leave home for couple days.
See you all next year .

I had acquired a ItalDesign Road Car in the Holiday festivities of GT7 and not wanting to waste a car (and changed mind in respect to VGT cars, I will keep cars given but still will not pay for one)
That being said I gave this car a decent try at le Mans...would you believe 8+ laps at FM6! and tyre wear was almost nonexistant as I had by lucky stars a relative dry race, no measurable reason or rain to have to change my RH tyres. I accomplished 7 laps easy as the handling of this car was surprisingly well for a VGT.
I will have to wait for the off-road version to be given to me for a comparable test.
P.s. there is very little tuning needed or available for this car, just back it down to 70% on the restrictors and a little ballast will still have plenty of power to run it.

Happy new year to all.🎄

Saw the Renault Clio V6 24v 2000 as a special pick and took it to le man.

(Fully tune)

Handling is decent but super loose almost feels like you don't have control of this car.
Braking is decent.
fuel efficiency 4 laps on FM6.

Weather - Super clear not a green spot on the radar the whole race.

Mr. P has a good tune for it.

Question what were your top 3 cars you raced at le man this year?

My list would go like this.

1. Mazda 787B - Amazing car super fast and with great fuel efficiency.

2. Pagani Zonda R - Its not the fastest or the most fuel efficiency but still can get 4 laps but what makes this car my 2nd best of the year for le man is the SOUND (imho) the best sounding car in the game.:bowdown:

3. Honda Project 2&4 - Super fun car not the best handling but its fast and good on feul and plus it feels like you driving a bike in le man.

Question what were your top 3 cars you raced at le man this year?
Hmm, hard to decide, but these 3 are the ones that stood out to me.

1. Honda RA272 - Good on its own, but this is probably one of the best cars in VR.

2. Alpine A220 - Just surprised me how easily this car handled the race. VR cockpit was a little cramped though.

3. Alfa Romeo 155 - Again, another surprise. Best Gr.4 car I drove here.

Not hard to answer this one .
My top cars are R92CP , 787 and Mazda LM55 gr1.

As about road cars the one that i like lately was Ferrari testarossa.

Completely dry race just then. Been a minute since finishing exactly on the 30-minute mark.

The F40 is in the LCD, I got one and did a total weight reduction on the car and not much else, will post settings and results soon....

I run also an F40 yesterday, i swapped the one i had and bought two more.
Didn't do any permanent modifications yet .
Still need proper settings for it , i had a small problem with the brakes .
Ill try it again but not today, ill grab the weekly races credits for today.
