Ladies and Gentlemens, the ugliest car not currently on sale right now.

The FXX isn't a new car, just a track only evolution of the Enzo. Pretty much, Ferrari has just done Koenig's job for them.

I must admit, I do like the FXX more than the Enzo from a styling standpoint. The added height and length to the tail and the smoother air dam give the car a bit more balance. It's still a little bit of a fright pig, but then, it's still not a carbon clone of past glory (GT) and that's good enough for me.

Why does Ferrari feel they need to turn all their cars into race cars?
The 512bbi, F355, F360, 550, 575, hell, I doubt it won't be long till' the 612 gets some kind of race makeover.

Ferrari has a tendency to turn their supercar models into race cars. They did ok with the F40, and didn't do so well with the F50, but the Enzo's body style is just not one to make into a race car.

Ferrari, here's a better idea. Create an entirely brand new race car instead of turing the Enzo into a bad looking one. OR, just let the 575 GTCs keep racing.
They're doing extremely well in the FIA GT.

This car starts racing, and $50 says it'll be in the FIA GT. :scared:

To be honest, I never liked the Enzo's styling. If I wanted a supercar out of Ferrari that looks awesome, I'd go to Ferrari of Houston (cheap plug) and look for a Ferrari F50. The car looks a bit like a tuner car than a totally awesome Ferrari. If I want a Ferrari I can somewhat afford, I'd get a 360 Modena, or that F430 when it comes out. Both of these are little beauties if you ask me. Forza Ferrari!

But as I said, never really been a fan of the Enzo. Give me the McLaren F1. Show me the Porsche GT, Porsche's elegant princess. It looks like this princess is in need of a brave knight. Then again, if you don't like the Enzo, you may not like the FXX. But like I say, it's not rice unless you can back it up.

That's one ugly car!. I can't see the point in it - has Ferrari forgoten about their Maserati MC-12? - a track biased Enzo - sound familiar?

It looks like a door wedge!!! i hate all the vents and i agree with johnBM01 i dont like the enzo styling either i hate the two big gaping vents at the front, and why does alot of ferarri's have those wheels - they are stunning but dont put them on every model!!!

Judging by the replies in this thread this is basically a Marmite car, you either like it or you hate it. I think it looks good, the rear aero package is certainly unique, but I guess I like it cause I liked the Enzo.

It would certainly look better with some nice understated matt black LM style racing wheels instead of those fussy polished standard Enzo versions and without the FXX logos

It's smart way for Ferrari to develope Enzo "mules" and test them at the expense of customers. All of the data will be recorded by engineers throughout the different races these cars will be in. I wouldn't be surprised if that data is then taken and put into use for building another super/hyper car (possible F70?).
As far as looks... cars tend to look very different in photos than they do in person. I never liked the Enzo myself after seeing it only in pictures. But when I got the chance to see one in person at a dealership (used Enzo for sale), it just blew me away. You don't get a sense of just how massive of a car the thing is untill you see it in person. The brake disks are the size of dinner plates! And for the first time ever, I noticed that the Enzo has different sized sideview mirrors.

Soul, just so that we're clear. The 2007 Ferrari supercar would be the F60.

Remember, the Enzo is not an "F" car. It wasn't built and produced on an anniversary year. F40 - 1987 (Ferrari's 40th). F50 - 1997 (Ferrari's 50th).

Ergo, 2007 - F60.

"Did the Enzo ever look good? - Vladimir

I just hope that for many of us, that the "F60" has to look as sweet as the Ferrari F50 without any Enzo cues. I don't expect to see a beautiful car made ugly. In terms of styling, I think the F40 is pretty cool. I slightly like the F50 more. So to answer the original question I posted above, it's love it or hate it. I like the Enzo's performance numbers, but lookswise, I'll probably take a Mercedes SLR McLaren or a McLaren F1, in terms of the "sell your soul to the devil to own" cars.

Hiya! :D :embarrassed:  Meow! (='.'=)

I find that new Ferrari just insanely CRAZY! Only 20 to be made with a 1.8 million dollar price tag on them. I too find this car quite unnecessary for such a large price and plus you have to earn the right from Ferrari just to even get this car. :odd:

Still, I would like to see how this car can compete with the world! :embarrassed: 👍

A member on another board that I am on is on the list for this car. I'm not sure he'll make it, but he sure wants to. Like mentioned (and the truth with Ferraris), if you have lots, you'll get noticed. This guy is pretty serious about his cars though. He owned a Mclaren F1 for a couple months in 1997. Constantly changing his collection of cars. He has the newest car until the next model comes out to replace it. Oh god, to live like that...

And to think, you could buy a BRAND NEW C5R for about $475k. I'm not sure if you can buy a C6R yet. But that does kinda put it in perspective. At $1.8 million, you're obviously paying for a lot more than stellar track performance.

This would be well above the C5R or C6R in terms of track performance, it'd be more akin to the older GT1 races from the mid-late 90's like the CLK-LM and the Porsche 911 GT1 ect, and they cost a lot of money, a lot more that $475k. The question is, will this be able to get categorized for any major motorsport event?

Get rid of the white stripe and stick a set of these on it and you have yourself a customer ... can I pay for it over 3 million years? Not a patch on the Enzo though. Beauty and the beast.

Here are some details from the guy that wants to get one.

"The FXX has it's desirability, but the pricing is ridiculous. Awaiting the full package to be Fed Ex'd, but basically there is a Forced Right Of Refusal to the Dealer. Meaning if the owner decides to sell he can't sell to anyone without giving the dealer the first right to purchase at MSRP. So that blows any increase in value right out the window and the extra $600K to $1M for the add on features dont seem worth the expense. More than likely it will be a no go for me. I don't mind spending for the "value" but I am not a fool when it comes to violating the laws of " wealth accumulation, preservation and protection"."

So there you have it. Ferrari violates their customers, like usual, and people still love them. Go figure.
