This article had me laughing, because obviously anyone assumes and wants a Toyota Crown before an E63 AMG...

Please tell us more about this "Toyoya Crown" DLC, as if PD would spend 6-9 months each on modelling and rendering said car over what is quite obviously an E63...

I am with you on this...

My knee jerk reaction upon seeing the tweet is the pair of Mercs...

I don't see how these are Crowns ... But then again, I don't know how the Toy Crowns look like...

Seems like a very promising update, maybe a little cop theme, a city track like Tokyo r246 would be very suited for this update.
i know the guesses is already out there,
1 ford gt 2017 man that sick every update we have got one super or high sports car since september.
2 It is as easy to see golf gti mk1 like most people think as well
3 like people say It the toyota crown or a Mercedes sedan c or e class, with lights
4 Renault megane i think its a pace car version,
5 as people already pointed out its a charger police car, but i think its the older 392 rather than hellcat.
6 porsche 911 gt2 It looks like one to me,
7 same as Number 3 just without the lights,
A lot of people already saying its going to be toyota crown, but i really hope its not, i hope its the Mercedes c or e class,

Can’t Wait to take the new ford gt for a spin

cop cars ands various situations reminds me SSR7 (from my point of view SSR7 is way better and usefull compared to SSRX)

After the Kaz's preview, I'm struggling to understand the Polyphony Digital philosophy behind the cars addition.. but they are free so they are good :) ..

I would hope for a 392 instead of a hellcat but are there 392 police chargers with the hoodscoop and the rearwing?

With the new ford gt i hope we can put it all the way up to n900, i did not like the fact that the ruf could not get pass n700

The corner of the grille nearest the headlight is curved on the E-Class, but pointed here. There should also be a central Mercedes badge above the grille (missing) but below the bonnet shutline (missing). The Mercedes E-Class bonnet style line maintains an even gap to the side swage line before heading down to meet it at the nose, whereas this car's side swage line starts close and descends away from it as you move forward. An E-Class bonnet also has a pair of ridges further inboard (missing).

Matching each of those features perfectly is... the Toyota Crown.

I'm hoping it's a 993 RSR and not the GT2. Those bolt on arches absolutely ruimnthe 993 shape.
I am hoping it's a 993 Carrera RS Clubsport and not a GT2. I don't mind the bolt on arches, but the GT2 has been featured in many games before and the RS would be new to games entirely.

Let the whiners whine, even if they had what they wanted they'd still whine. That's how I think. Also to the haters... You mad?

I think it will be funny with police cars. I don't need them, but I welcome them. I am happy because of the Ford GT and the Golf.
The Golf was missing, it is a legend!

Oh i would love to see the reaction of the police department when a bunch of devs asked them to scan their car for a game.

Not sure about Europe, but in the US police cars come from the manufacturers.

It varies wildly in the UK.

Some forces modify their own cars, and some brands (like BMW) supply them with "police spec" cars, which are essentially base models with further equipment deletion (they're going to strip it out anyway). Other brands (like Mitsubishi) supply their own cars modified to the required specification.

However, the one constant there would be that the forces own the modified car and would not be greatly amenable to having it scanned in detail. In fact when I visited Mitsubishi's secret facility for building fleet cars (it does emergency services, but also specialised equipment for other purposes; lots of mobile phone mast stuff) we had to stage photographs to make sure that there was nothing in shot that compromised security...

Local police cars here arrive with the police electronics, and lights, but the bodies are plain. I have an uncle that worked for a sign shop, and they would apply all the decals for our county, and city police, fire, and ambulance vehicles.

I plan to make use of that Charger, and recreate my local cop cars. I already have SC State Trooper decals that I used on the GTR a while back.

Definetly easier for PD to get the data directly from Dodge but the small chance they went directly to the police force and ask permition for scanning their cars gives me a good laugh.
