I just dont get it GT is a very historic game with great prestige, why are these manufactors so hard for GT to get? The forza series has been out for 2 years and got porsche, and lambo. I even heard EA got a porsche licens for their newest game. Im sorry but both Forza and NFS have nothing on GT when it comes to pure driving, and simulating cars. How do they get them so fast? Can someone explain this to me? Thank you.

I'll say what I said for Porsche.

I don't expect them to be in GT5.

I really hope they are in GT5.

I would rather they aren't in GT5 than be implemented wrong. I don't want to hear a press release with Kaz stroking himself, proudly exclaiming that Lamborghini is in GT5, only to find out that a) there's only a token Gallardo or Murcielago, and/or b) the scream of the engines is not implemented correctly. I will be pissed off beyond belief if I buy GT5 to find that half the Italian exotics sound like electric shavers. Do it right, or don't do it at all.

I bet PD has more money then LAMBO.. so why not PD buys LAMBO and then we can have it in the game?

Not even close. Lamborghini has had a lot of cash given to it by Audi to help further try & develop the Audi parts in their cars.

Since when have America ever build a good hypercar ?

Ever heard of this?

American pride!

Anyway, back on topic... I think that PD will not let Lambos slip away this time... they will probably have the newer ones like the Gallardo, Murcie, etc. Think about it... Audi owns Lambo. Audis are in ght GT series... what's to stop Lambo? But that still doesn't explain why they weren't in GT4... hmm...

Did you know that thing gets its headlights from a Ford Focus :embarrassed:

Maybe thought the Lamborghini, would go faster with the Focus headlights!:sly: All i hope is that Lamborghini is in the game!!👍

That same theory was used during GT4 about Fiat & Ferrari.

When it comes to licensing, the head manufacturer does not have any say. Fiat, Ford, GM, Volkswagen, etc. They all may own (or did own) Ferrari, Aston, Pontiac, & Lamborghini, but that does not mean they controlled everything under them. These manufacturers have the right to say who can & can't use their image, cars, etc. VAG & Fiat do not have any say, & more than likely, do not care to begin with.

The only time you'll see the owners stepping in is when the company owned starts building something the head manufacturer does not like. As an example, with Porsche now controlling Bugatti, it has been rumored that Porsche is limiting Bugatti's development of a faster car because Porsche is supposedly building something just as fast. But, lately, Bugatti doesn't seem to care.

It takes something big for Fiat & VAG to step in and say no. Licensing is not one of those things they have interest in. They leave that & nearly everything else up the manufacturers. In short, finances, scandals, & similar-products are really the only things that catch the owners' attentions.

Ummm... that's not a Lambo. That's an SSC Ultimate Aero TT... made in America, the fastest car in the world...

Yep i think we need lamborghini in GT5 because it is one of my favourite cars to drive in a race game and it will be something good to see in GT5 world.

Why are you all so excited about Porshe? They've already been in the game for some years in the form of RUF, a real world German company that tunes Porsche cars. An actual Porsche, while possibly more alluring, would in all likelyhood be inferior to drive compared to its tuned counterpart.

RUF is not Porsche and Porsche is not RUF.
I am not a big Porsche fan, but they have some classic cars i would like to drive (917, 550, 928 and so on).

Surely now with Ferrari in the game, Lamborghini will not want to get left behind of their rival?

before, with Ferrari out as well, it was like their stance was their brands were too good to be put alongside other manufacturers in this game.
now, hopefully lambo will feel pressure to join in.

My fear is they wait until GT6 to join so they can not be overshadowed by Ferrari joining (although Prologue has taken some of the gloss off this)

LAMBO was introduced in a GT in real life video.

So it was just a sneak peak that LAMBOS will be in Gran Turismo 5
The reason is why there is no info, is that PD wants to suprise us with awesome pictures and videos few weeks before release.

I really hope and think there will be lambos.

Ferrari was all over real life videos for GT4, GT4P even shipped with a making of Gran Turismo DVD that was full of Ferrari's, it never happened though. Not saying GT5 wont have Lamborghini because I really hope they do but a real life video of a Lamborghini in a GT video means nothing as we have learn't from previous GT versions.

Maybe they knew PD would get license in 2007 lets say, but Ferrari told em they could get data but in game Ferrari wont make it till their current license with other developer ended?

Possible.

Yes thats probably right NoxNoctus, but I also think Ferrari had 'issues' regarding damage modelling. I hope now that GT4 has proven to be such a massive hit all over the world, that Manufacturer's start to realize that Gran Turismo is actually an effective marketing tool and free publicity.

This is actually my theory... after Shift is released I think Porsche's contract with EA is over and since both MNC and NFS have recently released new games so their deals with Lambo are likely over... until they resign... if they have not already. Personally I feel like Porsche has a higher chance of making it into GT5 than Lambo but you never know. I just do not get why you would only Ferrari to get free advertising in the highest selling racing franchise of all time? Just makes no sense. I also feel like if they do make it in they will be DLC.

Yeah exacly, Porsches and LAMBOS should be in GT5.. FREE advertaising.. or they have to pay, or how ever this works. But yeah, Advertising, GT fans are one of the most and biggest fans of any racing game.. as well GT games are one of the few games that take CAR modeling to have to be 100% accurate, so its dumb for Porsche and Lambo to say no for a GT game even with damage. .. same goes for Ferrari.

I just realised, we talk about the cars that aren't in GT4 more than ones that are, because we wonder if they might be in future releases. Intrigue makes better advertising than honesty...
