Sorry if this is winded, but I have just a few questions to get things straight:

Who is actually hosting the race tonight, akira2501?
Will we have a Room # in the open lobby, or do we meet in the host's lounge?
G4geisha, are you hosting some of the actual races too, or just these practices?
And g4geisha if you're hosting these practices in your lounge, would you add my PSN ID: Automator3030 so I can possibly get in on some of those if I'm on, or if it's in the open lobby can you post a room#?

And I was also wondering, so do we race all 4 classes (A,B,C,D) at each track (Tsukuba & Laguna Seca)? So 8 races total?
And do we have a set # of laps per race or does it vary by track?

Looking foward to tonight!

Any more news on the petition to run Class A cars on RACING tires?

My 458 Italia would like that, test driving on Tsukuba last night it was like ice skating but I did get down to basically 58.00 flat. But i know on race tires I've had my Super GT cars down in the 55's

Akira will be hosting the races in his lounge. So you dont need a room number. Just add Akira and meet in his lounge at 8pm CST.

I think G4 is just hosting some practices in his lounge. So he will add you, or you will have to add him.

I think we will be doing 8 races like you said, but I'm not sure. The number of laps will vary by the length of the track although there was definite talk of increasing the number of laps from 3, especially if we have a grid of close to 16 cars.

P.S. Just make sure you 'favourite' all the cars you plan to run so you can access them online rather than have to quit the lounge to change cars.

Hope that helps. :)

I was planning to run the Italia too, but that might have to change considering the amount of oversteer it suffers from on sports soft tires.

Thanks Scuudz, that answered them all.

So has everyone really nailed down their tunes for each class? I'm not really building any cars up for these events (yet). I'm basically just going to bring whatever I already have that fits in class. It's going to be interesting!
See you all at 8.

Like I mentioned somewhere earlier, Monday nights are almost always a no-go for me.
You guys have fun, I might be able to join you at the end of the night, although I doubt that.
Will see most of you Thursday or before.
Good luck.

Sure, racing tires would help with any of the classes to go faster, but I worry about falling in to that trap. Running on sports make it harder to do good laps, so when we do get to that point, we are all the better on racing tires. As much as my Italia would be faster with them too, it's not the tires that can cause it to be unpredictible, it's the me asking it to do too much too fast.

Don't worry overmuch about spending time on your cars. Sure, it helps, but better to be there then to not!

Last Thursday the second set of races took place a good hour later then 8 central. Pop on when you get home and see if there's space. Some people had to leave between the first a second tracks.

Just make sure you have sport soft tires available and if you have new cars have a variety of parts available to drop HP if they break in on you. Other than that drive whatever you like though 4wd is pretty dominant right now. And yes my races will only be to warm up/ fine tune

There could be a few of us fashionably late sorts since I am in training for an hour and a half after work and won't be home until probably 6:45pst

just remember that 8:45 CST 2 hours behind!

Yup I know which is why it sucks. I am normally home at 5:30 pst so have about 1/2 hour to get up and running but for 6 weeks I am the lucky recipient of after hours training on Monday nights.

And I am down with less tires it is fun and makes me think just reminded me of how twitchy that Italia can be, it only took me like 4 laps to remember to roll through the corners and wait until I was straight to get on the throttle but those 1st 4 laps were brutal

Heh, I was like that too last night. Now, who wants to bet I forget again tonight!

Another great race; thanks guys!

Next Race: Wednesday 2nd at 9PM CST
RACE 1: Deep Forest Raceway
RACE 2: Mazda Raceway : Rome

I thought it might be a typo, but it says Wednesday 9pm CST on the OP too. I suggest you all do a lot of schmoozing with the missus/gf/partner tonight so you can be on the track tomorrow. :)

I will be able to make either day since the gf is taking night classes starting this week.
