I see there is some concern over the Wednesday at 9pm start time.
Is it the date or the time that's causing concern? I will change it to Thurs at 9 if Wed causes problems for our regulars.

I'm good either day, hopefully I'll actually be able to race this time instead of not being able to get home and in until the last race then having it go to black screen just to mock me. Looks like the racing was fun last night and those are 2 of my favorite tracks to drive right now.

Hiya Guys just got confirmation on joining the league.

Look forward to racing you guys Wed. (Thurs works as well). I don't currently have a mic but will get one asap.

This looks like a fun group.

If I may speak for the others, I think it is the day more than the time for most people since I thought it was decided that we would race on Mondays and Thursdays. And I also thought it was decided to move the time up to 8pm CST rather than 9pm CST.

I am with scuudz on this one. I was under the impression of Monday and Thursdays at 8pm cst. Hoping we can keep it there but I will work with the majority.

I don't think I care about Wednesday or Thursday. Monday will always be a no-go.
As for the time: If it was up to me we would start at Midnight EST (The wife is already in bed and I don't need more than 4-4.5 of sleep) as it stands not much of a difference between 8-9 CST, just as long as it's not earlier.

For those of you that may not frequent the social group page of this series, please follow the link to the social group from the original post in this thread, and give your input to driver etiquette from last night. Also, please let me know what you guys think about the 'Top 3 Fair Drivers Award' idea (details in 'Jan 31 Etiquette Review' thread on social page).

I know what you mean there. Last night, the gf was talking to me through all the races, and it is incredible how difficult it is to hold a conversation and the optimal racing line at the same time. I made SO many silly mistakes (especially on Laguna Seca) simply because I was trying to pay attention to her, and the track at the same time.

I remember one incident where I was having a great battle with slammedc (we seem to have a lot of those) in the Class B race on Seca, and at the final corner I took the inside line and braked WAY too late. Blew past him into the sand. My gf was talking and I could hear slammedc in my head set laugh and say, "Wooo scuudz is just crazy with that Audi." Hahaha good times.

Yeah Thursday would be better for me also. Along with the later start time at 9cst.

Another thing, what causes the ghosting to occur on the track? Was it from the light penalties setting that we were racing with last night or was it from the offroading and bumping that would occur? I never recalled seeing that in our previous races and thought it may be from the penalty settings. Just didn't really think it was realistic driving through invisible cars and even for long stretches at a time, hahaha.

Everyone wants something different on the time / day.
I honestly don't know what to do.

Personally, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7PM CST (before my wife gets home from the gym) would be my perfect time. The schedule I'm setting at the moment is a compromise between all of the different time / date requests I get. (Example, 8pm is too early for the west coast).

I will switch back to Thursday, but I'm keeping the time at 9PM this round.

I saw that happen right in front of me, and after watching your driving line in previous races I had wondered what the hell happened there. Funny!

I got few quick questions:

Can you get to the XMB while the game is on, or do you have to quit the game?
Or, can you receive and send messages while the game is on?

And completely unrelated: How do we feel about RUFs? are they considered production or tuned?
Don't care either way, btw!

Yes, you can get to the XMB while the game is on by hitting the PS button in the centre of your controller. Once there, you can send messages as you would from the XMB normally. You can receive messages while the game is on too. You will see a pop-up on the top right corner of your screen informing you that you have received a message, who it is from and the subject of the message (if the sender specified a subject).

I would think since Callaways are allowed, RUFs would/should be too? It is Akira's call.

Thanks, for some reason all I remember seeing after hitting the PS button is options to quit game, turn off system and turn off controller.
Will look again tonight.

The options you are talking about show up if you hold down the PS button for a few seconds. If you just tap it, it takes you to the XMB.

RUF Cars:

At 522HP / 1380kg The RUF CTR2 '96 fits Class A and is the only one that fits. The others dont even come close.

Round 2 of races will feature 3 or 4 new classes with new cars, let me know if you have ideas for the new classes. A 'Ultra Lite" class and sub-308HP race car class are already in testing.

I think you should set a min weight limit to keep the fireblade from dominating the ultralight class. Haven't investigated tune class yet. I would suggest a drivetrain specific class

I like the drivetrain specific class idea ff and fr classes maybe. Not really saying those are preferences of mine but just suggestions. I was hoping I would have soemthing to do with my fireblades but I don't care I'm easy.

Hi, everyone! I'm quite interested in joining this league. My evening and weekend gaming schedule is extremely sporadic (I can consistently be online in the mornings of EST, but I assume everyone else has a normal day job :) ), but I would like to be able to join a race here and there as I happen to find time. My PSN ID is "TakahashiRyos-ke".

A few thoughts and comments on the discussions that I've read through in this thread:

I think members should strive towards the GTP rules ( https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=111241 ). Agreed, we may all be rookies, and maybe not take racing that seriously, but it gives us something to strive towards. Towards that end, I also think it would be a good idea to strive towards relying on as few aids as possible -- the aim there being personal improvement. So, with respect to SRF, I would suggest having it off. I've been in online races that have stayed relatively clean with it off.

Anyway, I hope to meet up with some of you soon! Any clean, mature driver can feel free to send a friend request to me on PSN.

As we add more classes for more series, I hope we rotate classes in that we already have run. Spent alot of time and money on these 4 cars. And will gladly spend more with each class we add.
