Just ran a bunch of laps around the green hell. I would suggest we only do two laps, otherwise we will either need to pit or move to harder tires. My class b car finished 2 laps in about 15:30 on the normal course. So we are talking about at least a hour and a half racing the 24hr track. It's gonna be fun!

Do you post the tracks for upcoming races ahead of time (so we can practice)? Or is it just a surprise, so the most experienced (or fastest learners) get the advantage?

A couple of things:

- for the fireblade race can mods be performed to the car? I know there is not much you can do (maybe exhaust)
- I will not be able to make thursdays trial run as I will be in NC for most of the week. Which means tonights races are going to be a bit of a challenge for me to make as my wife may want some quality time but I think I can pull it off.
- Thanks! To everyone who has put a lot of effort into this league it is a ton of fun. Hopefuly the PSN network is good and stable tonight.
- One last question, can we attach an anchor to the back of Msand tonight?

Sorry, I was trying to find the tracks for the new classes; I guess it's too early. And I see now that the tracks are posted for the current classes -- I didn't put two and two together. That's what I get for being so tired, I guess. :) Thanks, g4geisha.

I was wondering this too and was going to ask today. You can actually do a fair amount to change it, because you can weight reduce it and you can put a supercharger on it which makes it super crazy gocart-tastic.

I bought a fresh one and have a modded one for either possibility. They are in the online lot right now, but will go away on Wednesday.

With regard to Msand, it would be neat if we could apply a weight penality like Super GT does, but alas, we can not. I like driving my NSX, but in the interest of time, we could maybe skip class D? It's just an idea, I am not sold on it myself.

Personally I like "d" classs actually. I think it is more fun with slower cars which teaches people to carry speed and not rely on horsepower to make up for bad cornering technique. The achor thing was a bit of a joke.

Tonight should be fun!

I am pretty sure i will have a self induced anchor tonight, after Cheering on the Packers to win the Super Bowl last night. I am struggling trying to make it through work today. We will see how i do tonight!

hello folks , new on the GT5 scene - only had the game a few days so not ready for online mode just yet but when i am this looks like a good group for me to join if you'll have any slots

i just turned 30 *eek , so i guess im now mature . i will be looking to race my tuned up FTO

Having some weird issue with my internet today... I can get on certain websites (like this one) but others won't load, and I can't connect to PSN. Hopefully I will be able to fix it before the races.

Kicked out 5 times. Message said due to heavy traffic. Major bummer, was really looking forward to the green hell.:grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

Stinks had those connection issues, I was having a real bad time with them last week so I know how that goes. Good racing.

Fireblade question - sorry if already asked.
I assume no tuning to weight or horsepower, just oil change? What about suspension, etc? Tires?

Were more than 16 racers trying to get in last night? Just wondering because I was in the lounge 5th or 6th at 25 till with no problems until after the first race started. At that time it seemed as though 3 or 4 guys piled in late or right at start time, that is when I started having trouble. Then it seemed like geisha and I took turns getting booted. After the 5th time, I gave up.

Good racing last night guys. Slammed had a good time chasing your Integra on the green hell in the class D. Unfortunately I didn't change my tranny before the race (from Rome) so I could only top out at 150 mph. Otherwise I think I maybe could have caught up to Msand :)

Haven't read all the threads, but what is the deal for Thursday with the new classes? Akira have you made final hp, weight, etc? I figured I would start looking for some new cars tonight or tomorrow before the next races and want to know specifics. Thanks!!

Kind of a frustrating evening for me last night. Not to excuse my poor driving, but I was having all sorts of issues from brain farts (yeah, sports hard...) to network issues. On Rome it was more like car soup than a grid with the weird lag.

I also noticed that my Volvo at least was handling really differently. Normally its dead stable in all situations, but last night it was doing some strange things like, oversteering on power (its FF).

There were two situations where I was sure someone had bumped me and that caused a spin. But I reviewed the replay to see who did it - but no one was near me!

Anyway, just venting but I still had fun. Looking forward to thurs for a fresh start :)

It was nice to participate in at least that first class of cars. Looking forward to Thursday when I can at least get some cars properly modified and tuned for the races, and get some practice runs in beforehand. I did notice some cars "nightcrawling" along; that's a pretty bizarre spectacle. :) It almost makes you keep an even bigger buffer of space between you and them, because their movement is more unpredictable. :)

Can we set a deadline for locking down the specs? I had some cars purchased and modded early on, but then the specs changed. It's particularly an issue when you get irreversable mods.

I woonder if it has anything to do with that stupid GT Academy??

No GT Academy didn't have anything to do with it. It was canceled by then and not accessable.

Is anyone "in the know" aware of any provider issues in the Chicago area? Ever since the Snownami it seems that Chicago/north Il. has had some issues. For instance, and I know this is no means scientific, game servers hosted in Chicago were consistantly around 22 ms ping time, but since then have been 40-60 ms ping time.

Yeah I did. I saw the numbers on the first page, but then in reading through some of the posts Akira was thinking of doing unlimited for the alpha. Just wanted to double check. Thanks

**Nevermind, I see its updated on the first page. That alpha race is going to be crazy with no restrictions!! Lots of fast cars.

Did we ever decide wither the Zondas are going to be allowed? I know there was some discussion of that car really being a race car.

One other thing. Are we done with the D class car? I think it would be a great race to do this weekend of everyone using their D class car with out restrictions. Just take the car you had and tune it, and will do ten laps of a couple of tracks. The only restriction i would like to see is no race mods. Other than that make it as light as possible, put those racing soft tires on, that you wished you had, and let's race.

I'd be down for something on Sunday...

After seeing the unrestricted status, I am going to be trying out a few cars, and track specials like the zonda will be on that list. One of the things Akira mentioned earlier, I think in the social group thread and I believe he has a good point, is that some (I would say many) cars have issues when you over-boost them up on HP. They are too hard to handle. So while it's unrestricted, the best bet is to go with what you can handle the best, even if numerically it's not the best.

I think I may have had something planned for me on Sunday evening, but other then that I could probally swing something this weekend. If you know what time you have in mind it's even better.
