Hmmm interesting sounds Like fun n I'm thinking about using my r32 or r 34 on the uphill n my s2k or ae86 for downhill. N I just got a new car today so I finally got my own car lol I been busy preparing my move into my new apartment in october

Nice, congrats! I'll be honing my skills on my VTEC duo. It's almost like Class A and B evolved into uphill and downhill, respectively.

Tonight's tournament was a huge success. Thank you to all that came through. Participants and spectators alike. This community is nothing without you all.

I gotta say, best battle of the night was DC5 vs S13. Came down to the final corner of a Sudden Death run.

Honorable mention: Those two Supra SZ-R's put up a good fight. Needing a bit more tuning.

The Battle Stage was Cape Ring South. Challenging esses and flat hairpins.

OMG OMG its amazing!!

Sure, it could use being a bit tighter and having less high-speed sections. But, it have about a dozen hairpins, many esses, off-camber corners, chicanes. It had everything we look for in a good Touge course.

Those videos you've seen online of the track are obviously in bumper-cam and make the track look a lot faster and wider than it really is.

It's very narrow and has ample elevation changes. It has 45 sectors between 8 Checkpoints. Back-to-back hairpins in at least two separate locations. Tricky sweepers. Off-camber sections. Jumps. Bumps. And it's just as awesome in reverse.

I see some pretty sweet uphill and downhill runs.

Also worth noting, the track surface is Tarmac. Glorious Tarmac! Meaning that you'll have to tune your cars quite different to be fast here. Say goodbye to your Nürburgring setups hehehe.

It's very reminiscent of Toscana (Tarmac) but more complex and challenging. Did I mention REAL ACTUAL FULL HAIRPINS!?

Just waiting for the new update to finish installing... Everyone heard about the gauges they've added also? Boost, oil temp etc? Nice little add on to be honest, the little things make a big difference. Goes to prove what we have to come for future gt games as far as detail.

Anyone on at the moment? I'm looking to start two new projects for the new track if anybody wants to join me for some runs and tuning :)

Toe.

Yes!

The gauges are certainly a welcome upgrade. Now I can have working boost gauges and auxiliary tachometers in my dash (up to 3 gauges can be installed, all fully functional). The Tachs even have a shift indicator light. Great for those cars that redline past the counter like Miatas, Hondas, Corvettes and FC's.

Another welcome update is the new Force-Feedback settings. Especially for me, since I run a belt-driven Fanatec wheel, and allows for less stress when crossing the center axis.

I also noticed that it's considerably more sensitive on kerbs and rumble strips. I can now feel this individual bumps instead of just silly vibrations when running over them. A far more authentic feel.

@WellThatsIt congrats on last night's tournament! That DC5 was beast. And that wing on it... Humongous LMAO!!

Sierra is verry fun :dopey: some great sectors, loving the hairpins.
In terms of technicality compared to the Touge tracks we made in GT5 this is a very simple course, but I'd consider this to be far more technical than Nurburgring, it also has much better flow and scenery than the ring in my opinion making it much more fun to drive on.

The scenery is breathtaking at worst lol. I love how every sector is different. In terms of the types of corners.

My buddy TURBO_KELOWNA started calling the part of the track near the end (Sectors 42-43) The Enchanted Forest lol.

It's lined with trees along both sides with the branches creating almost a full canopy over the road and covering that portion of the course in a cooling shade. I think it's the only part of the course where you cannot see the lake or any mountains in the distance. It gives an eerie feeling knowing you're approaching the end of the run. Like a secret forest within the mountain.

I love how every sector has its own personality.

Has anyone noticed this?

In the Special Event for Sierra Time Rally, the description given for the course says "our longest CUSTOM-CREATED course"

I'm sure you can recall in GT5 Seasonal events how they would always have 4-5 races per event, and the last of the series is always on a course created in the Course Editor feature.

Call it speculation, but I'm really getting to believe that Circuito de la Sierra was created on the Course Editor tool which we'll be given access to in the near (how near?) future.

If so, then I must say it's a vast improvement over the GT5 rendition of the tool. Seeing how diverse the types of corners are on this track lends to that notion. In GT5 Toscana (Tarmac) courses, you pretty much got the same dozen or so variations of corners every single time. Just different layouts and elevations.

That being said, It's an impressive achievement. The longest Toscana (Tarmac) courses would peak just short of 6 miles in length.

Your not wrong Snake, it feels like a Toscana track. I have to say it is better than Nur.

I think this is the track almost well suited for Touge at the moment. A lot of variety of corners some are blind, once I get Online I'm gonna try to go for a lap.

FFB:
On what I think about this new feature, I can't control my car well. I'm wondering of increasing the Understeering imput due to my settings feel like I'm on ice, Stratos time for then..

So should we expect Track Maker on October or December?

I went haywire on that course yesterday. Though it is more suited for A class, I can see it work on for the lower classes at the 2/3 sectors. Loved the interior update. Now I have 2 boost gauges in my Yaris (2 more than it should, lol).

Thanks solid, I've really been putting the work in on it. Just a little over stock. Weights/springs and height is all I've tuned.

Is it really that big? (The wing) might have to change that haha it's my shelf for all my winning trophies I'll be winning in it lol

Since i run a belt-driven wheel, it's now sensitive than the gear-driven ones, running the highest/strongest FFB settings was actually doing harm to the wheel, and my driving suffered because of it.

Currently, I'm running default for FFB torque at 3 and sensitivity is also default at 8.

Combining that with the independent settings for the Fanatec wheel, I get smoother FFB, still strong, less violent and high fidelity.

The height of the wing isn't what looked odd, but the width.

How about a friendly tournament tonight? At Sierra. Either one-lap battles, or sector Battle Stage.

Class A or B... or S? Lol

The league itself won't start untill custom courses are available. Till then, feel free to join our lobbies since they're open for all interested in joining. Once a season is ready to start, a sign up link will be added to the first post. Be careful about which rooms to join to join though, there's a certain "member" who's been pretty abusive to old and newcomers alike and runs rules not associated with this league.

I have a great idea that I want to share with you all.

Since I host Battle Stage Tournaments regularly on short tracks, I've been pondering about how to host a them at Sierra.

Since the track is very long, it's great for those endurance style battles we're so used to running during competition season.

Now, the average Tournament of 8-12 drivers takes almost 2 hours to complete. That's running short battles of about 10 minutes each.

As much as I enjoy the long runs, they're impractical for running Cat n' Mouse Best of 3.

-----

So here's what I propose. Since the course is already split up into four (4) Special Stages, we could run one Stage per round.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Dude, there's 4 Stages. How do you run Best of 3 in a 27km-long track that has 4 Special Stages and is split up into 12 Checkpoints?"

Well, you could do either of these...

You could run Round 1 on Stage 1.
Round 2 on Stage 2.
And if a Round 3 is needed, then it's run on Stages 3+4.

Or you could run each round on every 4 checkpoints?

Any thoughts??

Instead of check points we could also choose sector numbers itll be easier to remember because there are more than 4 checkpoints.

 has he posted in this thread before or does he just join your online lobbies?

Since competition is still on hiatus in the league, I had an idea regarding the Classes and wanted to hear the community's opinion on it.

Since most of the community has been running the 480PP regulations online these days, why not implement a change for the benefit of the league? I admit that I find that range a bit more balanced.

Since we don't run S class every season and not many people register for C class, we eliminate S Class altogether and uprate classes A through C.

e.g.:
Class C: 430PP or 440PP 2.0L 2WD
Class B: 480PP
Class A: 510PP or 520PP

ALSO, I know most of y'all are fine with SH tires throughout all classes. I've started over and again why I prefer CS.

BUT how about CS tires for Classes C and B.. SH tires for Class A.

any thoughts?
