Um, I’m not sure I follow where this is going. It was @unfairlane who voiced a concern. I can drive the big old muscles cars just fine, and I only mentioned the Super Bee because it makes the Superbird feel great in comparison. I thought you asked “which circuit” because you wanted to try these cars yourself.
I agreed with him, about the rear being too loose. If you’re not experiencing the looseness on road circuits, I’m suggesting try the Tri-Oval. I’ve already run many of the pony & muscle cars on Lagiuna Seca, Maggiore, etc. The Boss Mustang, Mach 1, Challenger, and the rest, don’t have the looseness at Daytona, as I’m experiencing, with the Super Bee and Superbird. On RH, as unfairlane mentioned.

Before the tyre update, AI would spin out on the groved tyres every corner, even with AI using all the aids. Now, with the RH fitted to my AI cars, no more spinning. However, I’m getting the oversteer with the two Chryslers. TCS on or off. That was all.

Oh my rotation, please, today is my birthday! Replace that glorious Jaguar XJR-9 '88 with a cool Nissan GT-R GT500 '99.
Make a kid fond of the old JGTC happy please!

You called it! I'm very glad to have been wrong, lol. Though the price is a bit much, imo.

Oh, and Happy Birthday!

Edit: Why is this a Gr. 3 car?! The OG NSX GT500 and the Lexus SC430 GT500 cars are Gr. 2, but the Pennzoil is a Gr. 3? Why in the hell wouldn't they be in the same category so that we can have GT500 races!? PD is just baffling with their decisions...

SHE HAS FINALLY ARRIVED

the pennzoil is a nice drive and a nice sound, can be scaled down for the 30’ Le Mans 700pp. Car will pay itself off on three tours.

I imagine it can hit the 800pp mark with medium or softs but I haven’t tried yet.

With RS tires, max HP 788, PP 783.99....should be a great car for World GT Series

Edit: decided to try it at Deep Forest, got CRB, kept going, won the rest but only got clean at Nurburg, still thought i was driving tomahawk(too aggressive)lol, not quick off the line but at speed was great at weaving around traffic, for a 6-banger,great car!

Probably because the 1990s GT500 cars are slower than their newer counterparts, or at least were in Sport.

Bought the Pennzoil Skyline. Had to have it. I gotta say, the Castrol Supra is better in every aspect:

Looks cooler
Sounds better imo
Handles better imo
1M cheaper (free for me from pre-order)

I'm happy to have it, but that money might have been better spent on the 787B, or saved for the Sauber when it returns.

The Epson NSX already in the game is a 2008 model.

This is an actual OG NSX GT500 and if it were added to GT7, it would probably be Gr.3 as well. The Supra GT500 is in the same boat.

I still think GT500 should all be in one category. The current Gr. 2 Japanese GT's like the new NSX dominate the Gr. 2 GT500's, at least in my personal lap times, let alone the LMGTP's like the CLK and F1 GTR. We need more categories, preferably real ones and not this "I'm too cheap to pay to have actual GT3, GT4, etc licenses" that PD has pulled the last two games.

If you like GT3 you should checkout ACC

Modern GT300 cars(which include a lot of GT3-spec cars) are quicker over a lap than the pre-2003 GT500 cars.

Also have picked it up. Drives great, but feels very sluggish compared to the NSX 500, Supra too. If you aren’t a massive fan, and a bit short on credits - I’d pass on it.

It's not supposed to be competitive with either of the GT500 NSX in the game... because it's from 1999 and they're from 2008 and 2016. That's like complaining a GR86 feels slow compared to a GT-R.

*edit - funny that @05XR8 literally predicted the comment that came immediately after 🙃😅

Never said it was supposed to be. This is a computer game, not real life. In this computer game, you race cars from different eras against each other to try to win credits.

If you can get the Pennzoil to go faster than the other cars at equal PP, then I totally admit I was wrong.

Some people who don’t have a crap tonne of credits and can’t afford to buy everything might find what I said to be helpful. Which is what I thought these forums were intended for. Again, I could be wrong here too.

Okay, and? We currently have LMGTP's and modern GT's competing against 15 year old GT500's in Gr. 2. No matter which way you come at it, Gr. 2 is a mess. In that same vein we have 50+ year old Porsche's competing against both real and fantasy modern juggernauts like the Porsche 919 or the various fake "Vision" Gr. 1's.

Gr. 2 and Gr. 1 need to be at LEAST three classes, maybe even four or five. The only way any semblance of parity is achieved is under a system where BoP exists, which as we've all seen heavily favors certain vehicles over others. BoP is a crutch for lazy/bad design in trying to cram wildly disparate vehicles into the same categories.

Just like 90% of the rest of this beta we bought as a full game, the classing system is in need of some serious work.

I guarantee you the GT500's compete more closely with each other than 15yo GT500's competing against Le Mans cars in Gr. 2. At least they're in the same damned class and built to the specs of a single series. Gr. 2 is currently no more absurd than running Nascar's against Formula 1, but running GT500's from slightly different era's? Oh, clutch those pearls! How absurd! 🤡🤡🤡🤡

@C_ The Epson is the "OG" I was referring to, which is Gr. 2. "OG" as in we have two of them, one the original NSX, the other the new model.

I know what I will be doing in two minutes when I finish my doob.

Strange question to ask. No stick it in the garage and keep it nice 😂

Its nothing special. Bad GT3 pace for me but it’s an old car. Looks beautiful though.
I wish we could gift cars @praiano63 should be getting free legendary cars.

The Pennzoil Skyline's everything I could ask for. Easily cheese'd the Redbull Ring one hour race with it.

Now if it can cheese the Lake Maggiore race, it practically pays for itself.

I have had no such problems with the Superbird. However, the Super Bee is terrible on a circuit.
Need a tiny tuneup. Notice that this old car is classed "good" at oil/engine/body. Go to the "GT Auto" and buy new oil and refresh engine(+10hp) & body first.

I gave it a set of American racing VN500 to fresh it up. But what this old boat really needs is an adjustable diff and some grippyer tyres, like SH-tyres.

Set the diff to 10-55-45, = a good sportsdiff. A new cam, ECU + some exhaust-upgrades and you`ll end up around 425hp.
