WHOA.

Oh? Are we all building Le Mans cars now? Count me in! Think I'll go for a Group C era car.
That would be awesome, which one are you planning to build? :dopey: I hope its a Nissan!

Picked up these three with my brother. Did the McLaren and he just finished the Porsche. :D
Hey, I just bought the Mc Laren P1 too, awesome car! Though to the stickers were a pain in the behind.

Oh, and I did some improvements on my LMP, now with a better front splitter, turbo intakes on the rear wheel fender and I smoothened the cockpit side walls so its more teardrop-shaped.

I'm still in the process of making my own Lego Le Mans car. I'm 60% done with the underside.
Anyone else wanna join in and possibly make this a competition?

Had a romantic evening in the city on Friday night. Stayed in a nice hotel, had an expensive meal and watched the limited release of Blade Runner Final Cut at the Cinema and my fiancée took me to the Lego store and bought me this...

I just started building this last night. I received it back in February for my birthday, but haven't had a chance to work on it because things have been crazy at work.

I'm about half way through the car and I have to say its a pretty amazing kit.

It's been a while since I've made something, so I got to building this today. This one's made from Lego Digital Designer, then rendered through LDD to POV-Ray Converter to give it a realistic touch.

Uh, that's the hotness. Very well done, do you have a part list for it? Excellent job!

I'm nearly done brick linking my 10179 set, just two more orders set to come in.

I also just finished creating my first LDraw set, I tried to get it as accurate as possible. I built a prototype carriage to hold the game cartridge, it uses a spring, axles and weight to move up and down. When you insert a game cartridge it will lower to the correct height and when you remove it it will move up for easy insertion (at least I'm hoping, if my math is right).

I have the parts listed out in some spreadsheets. Here's some pics of the prototype carriage:

Here's some pics of the design in LDraw.orgs MLCad:

NES Carriage (minus underpinning springs, axles, etc. I'll part those from my prototype):

NES Lid (Not sure how to attach it to the console schematic, o well):

NES Video Game Cartridge (I'll be replacing the black tiles with Tetris colored ones later on):

Good fun, now I just need to stop buying comic books and part out the NES

Maybe Jump Ace is thinking what I'm thinking, either piecing one together or ordering some legos. :sly:

Yep, 'bout time to order some legos, shouldn't be too expensive to build that NSX (in yellow or blue, hmmm). If you do get a parts list and maybe a few pics during the build let me know, I never thought of building my fav car out of legos

I'm working on the xml files to brick link the NES, when they are done I'll post them up here. The build on them is pretty straight forward, once I do get the parts I think I'll either take a stab at using LPub to make instructions, or just take some pics during the build.

I'll be posting a guide on the NSX soon. At the moment, I'm reinforcing the structural integrity, filling out some gaps, as well as making sure all parts (well, most) can actually be ordered in the color I've used in the model.

EDIT: Here's the instructions + parts list at the end. 👍

Now, I'm gonna work on something special. (It's another Honda. An EG hatchback)

I had to change the top color of the NES Console, Lid and Controller since Brick Link doesn't have the 'Pearl White' color. I did make the parts lists tho, I'll attach them in a bit.

I finished the Carriage with the underpinnings too. The blocks on the sides are to help weigh it down so when a game cartridge is inserted it will drop to the bottom. The (normal strength) shock absorber is just strong enough to lift the carriage up when empty.

What do you guys think, is the 'Light Bluish Gray' color too dark? Should I change it to something else, would 'White' be too...white for the NES?

EDIT: Yea I'm gonna go with White, its much closer to the real color.

I finished all the parts lists too, I've attached it. Once I get around to buying and building the set, I'll use LPub to make instructions and post them too. But that will be much much later on.

Decided to overhaul the front diffuser/splitter of my LMP1, now its much cleaner and so are the wind tunnels (Not visible in this shot, they're located behind the front wheels in the bodywork) It was hard to make it effective without making the footbox too small.

Also completely reworked the rear fenders, the rear bodywork, further slimmed down the cockpit to make it even more teardrop-shaped and improved the cockpit interior.

The improved height of the splitter allows it to suck even more air under the car to the diffuser. (Note the much better steering wheel)

This is the steering wheel I installed:

Lego is so much fun.

Wow I haven't seen a kit I have wanted that much in a while, the other Ferrari's they have done always looked pretty odd but because the F40 is boxy it works perfectly. It's hard to tell how big it is and whether it will fit in with the scale of the other Technic cars they have done.

Ahh, so it's under the creator line and about half the size of the Technic cars, still awesome though. I wonder if they would do an ultimate Technic edition?

@daan, I can't believe you just double posted!

FAQ
However, double-posting is not forbidden, and can be useful in many cases. For example, if a reasonable amount of time has passed or you have significant information to add to the topic, present it in a new post so that others, including thread subscribers, are made aware of the update.
I would think that 3 days is a reasonable amount of time.
